The quotes were fair. He was very informative and he came out very quickly. A neighbor recommended him and I've seen some of the work that he has done.

Rustic Fence promptly provided a quote when requested and was flexible in providing a re-quote when some details changed. Scheduling was done to meet our needs. The crew demolished the old fence and built the new one during three work days, with a couple of off days after the posts were set before completing the fence. They did a very good job of minimizing damage to the landscaping (much better than other contractors). The only hitch was that they installed their standard gate latches instead of the type that had been on the old gates. They should have pointed this out during the quote. They had no problem coming back to install my prefered hardware, though, at no additional cost to me.

The experience was wonderful. They were quick and efficient and the fence is gorgeous.

Chose a different contractor who offered a more aggressive price and upgraded the materials at no extra cost.

The representative came on time and spent about 15 minutes assessing our fence. He gave me a written estimate before leaving.

Fence falling down in a few places. Called few companies for bids. Felt most comfortable with approach from this company.

we got estimates from 3 vendors including Rustic Wood. They were competitive but not lower than others. The salesman miss-measured the property line, so when the crew came to install and did look at the plat, they found they could not install without the removal of 2 18' arbor vitae. Then the office wanted to charge us for the extra labor of the crew returning for another day after the bushes were removed. I went around on this with the office and sales guy and did get it sorted out. The crew did a great job with installation and with planning and installing a screen and gate around our back door landing including finishing part of the landing job that had been botched by a previous contractor. Fence and screen look great and give us the privacy that we want.

I knew that they are expensive and they use high quality materials. I also have seen the end product, some of my neighbors has their fences repaired or replaced by Bob Jaacks Rustic Wood Fencing & Decks. It was a walk in, I talked to the sales rep. He gave me the estimate based on my calculations ( I am not a professional builder or handy man) that i provided.We set up a day and he told me that he will stop a day prior to inspect the site. Well, he never did. When the workers arrived in the morning all on time, they were very experienced professionals. They remeasured the site and concluded that we need more materials that was originally estimated, so the price had to be adjusted accordingly by about 20% I agreed . Then,an hour later, I received a phone call from the salesman, he told me about the additional expenses that occurred during the hole digging, something about removing old cement ( they called it a plugs, etc.). I told him that I would not pay anything above to what we agree prior and he transfer the call to the owner of the company. All I have to say that it was not a pleasant conversation. But, because the job was 80% finished he agreed not to charge me the last minute increase of approximately $ 200.00. That all could of been avoided, if the sales-rep stopped, the day before to inspect the site, as he promised, and to give me final estimate, so there would be no surprise increases. I should also mention that they cashed the checks for the payment before the posted date on the checks that we verbally agreed to. Overall, the fence is standing, high quality material, great job by the installers, but the owner and the sales rep left a bad impression in my memory. Because of that I will avoid doing business with Bob Jaacks Rustic Wood Fencing & Decks.

Work was performed in a timely manner. Crew showed up on time and completed work as scheduled. We would use again. Only issue that arose had to do with the type of gate hardware which was used. We had two hads and they use a bolt on one and a latch on the other. They did not mention when we signed the contract that their would be a difference. We would have preferred to latches. Overall quality was good. We got one other quote which was a lower price and Jaacks dropped their original price to be competitive.

They were fantastic and they did a great job. Their prices were the best also.

Their representative was punctual and professional. He was responsive to my requests and listened when I explained the work that was needed. His estimate was thorough and was exactly what I was looking for. In the end another company offered similar services and quality products at a lower price. Bob Jaacks was a very close second choice.

I started to replace these posts myself and quickly concluded that ain't going to happen. Called Rustic Fence, and these guys came within a few days and knocked this project out in no time. Some of the best money ever spent.

I noticed a section of my wood privacy fence was beginning to sway and looked to be detaching from the post and the post was leaning. I back up to a busy road and have small dogs so I was very concerned that the dogs might be able to get out of the yard. I called Rustic Fencing and they scheduled someone to come out with in a couple of days. The installers showed up early on the scheduled day and walked the fence with me to make sure there were no other problems, then they got to work fixing the two posts. They dug out the old posts, installed new ones, and retacked the panels in place. They disposed of the old material and cleaned up after themselves perfectly. They made sure there were no gaps where the dogs could squeeze through. They were done in about an hour and half. I would definitely use them again. They were so prompt and courteous. They got the job done quick and, most important, they did the job well!

We received quote from four vendors. With all of the vendors I gave them the approximate size of the deck and a general idea of what I had in mind. Ryan Jaacks pricing was in the mid range and his.design met all of the criteria i was asking for. I don't know how many R. Jaacks are in this company but after that Randy was the person I spoke with. He was very easy to coordinate the scheduling and activities with. As expected the first day they came out and removed the remain pieces of the old deck and put in the cement footings. I had hoped to take the day off to oversee the final installation of the deck but my scheduled did not allow for this. When I returned home that evening I saw only the framing was up. Somewhat dismayed, I was however pleased to be able to examine this part of the structure. Knowing how the framing on the previous deck was poorly designed, I believe this will maintain its integrity until nature takes its toll ont the cedar wood. When the crew returned the next day I home that morning and was able to speak with the foreman. He was very friendly and informative and afterward we both had all of our questions answered. As to having only the framing set up, he had done this to allow the city inspector the see this. Apparently this surpised the inspector also, apparently he expected to see a completed deck. The inspector did recommend (or require, depending on your perspective) pea gravel be placed on top of the ground cover. This was not in the plans since the deck framing was only inches from the ground. To the company's credit if there were any issues with this they did not include me in it and the pea gravel was used. When I left later that morning I was confortable with not being there to oversee the work. The deck was completed the same day and the next morning when I went to look at the work I was very please with the final results. The job site was clean and the deck was everything I was told and expected it would be. It looks very professional and solid. (And feels solid too, compared with the bouncy feel of the old deck!) Since the new deck is smaller, the outer post from the previous deck were visible, they cut these below ground level allowing enough soil for grass to be planted. This is one company I hope survives this difficult economy. I would recommend them without hesitation and will use them again when I am in need of a service they provide.

He did a good job matching the existing work, and managed to fix a gate that wasn't working properly. They were quick and left the site neat. My fence looks much better, thank you!

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate. He called before the scheduled time to let me know he would be late. He arrived exactly when he said he would. We went over the job and he gave an estimate and scheduled a day for the new fence that was less than a week from that day. The workers arrived in the morning and consulted with me to make sure that the job was to be exactly as I wanted. They also made sure that anything that had to be removed was done so with my approval. It was horribly wet day but they finished quickly and did a beautiful job. I will definitely use them again if I need any fence work. Great experience overall.

Everything went as planned and on time. Jerry, the estimator came on time on the day specified, made some helpful suggestions regarding details of the fencing, and gave me an estimate for the work to be done. We scheduled the work for 10 days in the future although Jerry advised that it could be done much sooner if I wanted. The workers showed up on time, (somewhat early - I was in my pajamas), and went over the plan of work with me. They were efficient, careful of the plantings in the yard, and did an excellent job. They were finished by early afternoon. All of the debris was taken off of the property. The fence looks great.

We are very pleased with it. We felt that the design and construction were very good for the price.

The crew showed on time and worked quickly in spite of a cold driving rain. it was pretty miserable but did not affect the quality of the work.

Things went well. Two men arrived on the jobk extremely hot day. hFinished job in about 3 hours.

We called Rustic since they originally installed our fence over 13 years ago. The first reply was that we are too far. We live in Mundelein.They told us to send photos of the damage and they would get back to us with an estimate. They never did.

They did a beautiful job. They weren’t the cheapest, but that was okay. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

we now have a nice fenced yard and we have a happier family who doesn't have to constantly walk our dog at night! worth every penny and it looks nice
