Bob Jaacks Rustic Wood Fencing & Decks

They were great. They arrived on time, installed a beautiful fence and left our yard looking perfect. They even came back out to help replace a slat after our 7 year old son smacked a baseball into the fence within the first week.

He has been around a long time and I have seen his work in the neighborhood. He puts up a good fence; he did what I wanted him to do on time for the price he said.

Their work was great. Their were easy to work with. But, I had a couple of problem where my dogs are already pushing the fence off. They did escape a couple of times.

This was arguably the best experience we've ever had with a service provider. Within ONE WEEK of our call, the work was done. They scheduled an appointment to come out and look, upon our first call. They came out and wrote the estimate and then the work was done 3 days later. They even called JULIE to draw the utility lines without even bothering us with that at all. The work was done in the rain, but without any complaints and everything looks perfect. During the quote we asked that they replace one of our broken fence planks. After they left, we realized that they forgot to write that on the estimate. When we mentioned that they forgot to write that on the plan, they apologized and said that they'd do it for us for free. Seriously?! They could have easily just added it to the quote. Really above and beyond. We've never used them before but I HIGHLY recommend them. I wish more service providers were as professional as this one.

Came out better than i expected

They came out on time, explained all the options to me including wood and composite options. The fence was installed in June 2012 and still looks good and is solid. We had some trees removed recently which left a gap that we had not previously fenced. I have no hesitation in calling back Bob Jacks Rustic Wood. I can't fault them in any way.

This company was very helpfully and very professional in their work. they sent a rep to measure and gave me an estimate on the work. They took down about 100 feet of old wood fencing and installed over 200 feet of cedar fence in a day and a half. Their work is top quality and the work crew wee very nice and cleaned up the mess before they left.

The wind caused a wooden gate we have that in installed across our driveway to blow inward in a direction it was not meant to go. This caused the post to which the gate was attached to crack in a way that made it unrepairable. We called a few different companies after looking around on Angie's List to see if someone could repair the post and gate despite the temperatures being well below freezing and Rustic Wood Fencing was willing and able to do the job. Now that the repair is completed everything works great once again. We are grateful for the work that was done and had absolutely no trouble with Rustic Wood Fencing on their communication, work, timing, and availability. We would definitely bring them in again should we need work done and would recommend them to anyone who needs fence work done.

They were professional and prompt and the new fence looks great. The price was a bit high but this was for an aluminum fence (also the quality of the new fence is superior to what was originally there). Third time I have used Bob Jacks, I would use them again and also recommend to others.

They were very responsive, which I like, and they were very professional, and they did what they said they would do. Once they were out here, we asked them to do some additional work that we hadn't thought about, and they were happy to work with us, and they were flexible. I thought the price was fair.

When I called for a new fence, their first appointment was over a month away, which seemed quite long. |But they arrived exactly when they said they would, and did a beautiful job on our fence.

Overall good job. So, what happens if your fence needs to be repaired????? Update April 2014. We had two broken locks on our gates. It took many phone calls from my husband and I to get the workers out on our property to fix the locks and the broken post. It took around 3 weeks to get my gate repaired. They could not give me an exact date when our gate would be fixed. Most likely, we will not use them again for future fencing projects.

It went pretty good. I had no complaints and no issues. They do good work. Everything is fine. That was fine and no fuss. I called them and I told them that I needed my fence repaired and they took my name and number and said that someone would be calling me back in couple of days to schedule a time for somebody to come out and look at my fence problem and give me an estimate which happened. They scheduled the time for them to come out and everything preceded smoothly. They were a little pricey but they deliver good product and deliver a good service. I would use them again unless I find somebody who would do it cheaper.

Bob Kruger was our rep. from Rustic Fence. He did a good job, was very responsive and customer-centered. He and Gina from the office scheduled the work around other work we were having done in the yard, which required that they come two separate times. They tore down a chain-link fence from our yard (that was attached to our neighbors yard), took out a tree that had gotten tangled in the fencing and put the posts in first, then after the yard work was done they came back and put in the new fence, including repairing the neighbor's fence, and built a hanging horizontal gate for the entrance. We were happy with all of their work and the fence looks terrific and the gate slides very well, even with all of the snow that has fallen this year. We had also gotten a quote from them on a new back stairs and front iron fencing, which was higher than we wanted, although not out of line with other quotes we received. We didn't have them do that work but we might have them do the iron work when we are ready.

Excellent job of removal of damaged fencing and excellent job of replacing and building new fences.

The person that came to the house was very informative and nice. The customer service staff at the office was not quite as nice and helpful. They were hard workers and very skilled workers, but I felt like I needed to be there because I had to remind the builders about some of the things that were in the contract. I would still use them again and recommend them. Their rates were competitive and I'm happy with the fence.

bI read a few of their reviews and drove by on many occasion hoping to use their services - with our wood gate broke, I called them right up! Rudy-the-Estimator came right out, took a look at the damage, and provided my husband and I a few options we could go with as well as a contingency. He explained that he did this work himself before becoming an estimator and suggested what he would do given the neighborhood, winds in winter, and how gates like ours tend to work in his experience. No nonsense, no gimmicks, just plain advice from plain experience. He wrote up an estimate and was on his way. Of course I scheduled the work. The only reason why I gave them a B on Price & Responsiveness is because the cost for the labour was a little bit higher than I anticipated (but still very good work!) and their office didn't call me the day before the crew arrived to do the work. You see, we set a tentative date set for Wed 11/6 the week prior with the agreement that they would call if there was inclinate weather the day before and reschedule. But I never got a call. It rained on Wed 11/6, but no call on Tuesday (the day before). The crew then showed up at 9am on Thursday (the day after) and surprised me... because I never got a call. I did, however, leave a message on Wednesday. The truth is, I am no fool. Its not the crew's fault. It was whoever was responsible for scheduling. I called with the crew waiting. The lady who answered apologised profusely. I sighed, offered the crew coffee, and led them to the gate. I needed the work done and didn't want to send them away ... plus I happened to be at home - so of course I let them do the work.... and they did a great job... by 1pm! I watched them do an all day, detailed, and quality job in 4 hours. They even took Rudy's calculator back with them (he left it at our house when he did the estimate). Our fence looks and functions much better. Solid work and solid workmen. Ask for Rudy and his guys if you ever have work done by this company. They did a great job and I'll be calling on them again. They seem to be open to doing more than just fencing - when we're ready to build a deck, a tool shed, and some shelving inside the house in the spring, I'll give them the opportunity to take the work first. Good, reliable, and fair-minded carpenters are really HARD to find.

The estimator was extremely friendly and courteous. The price he quoted me was very, very reasonable. The installers arrived right on time to do the job (though I wish someone had called to confirm the appt.). They were extremely professional and very good at their job. The installation was somewhat tricky because the ground slopes quite dramatically from one side of the yard to the other. It was a bit of a struggle to convince the installers to shorten some of the pre-built panels they brought, so that the top of the fence would be level all the way across. They wanted to install the panels so that the fence would step down as it ran across. Eventually they agreed to do it the way I asked and the result is beautiful. I'm very happy with the fence and I will call Bob Jaacks again next spring to do the fence on the other side of my yard. I highly recommend Sergio and Nestor as installers and I will request them for the next part of the job. A++

We had 2 great experiences with Bob Jaacks. They installed a 6 ft wood fence to enclose one side of our back yard including a driveway gate in the summer of 2012. We had them back in spring of 2013 to replace the chain link fence on the other side of our yard including a person gate. They are very responsive, completed each of the jobs in a half a day. Their prices were competitive, not the cheapest, not the most expensive of the estimates we got. Great quality work.

Bob Jaack's gave us a competitive price and good work. The crew was quick and quiet. No complaints at all.

Ryan Jaacks is a very professional young man, who aims to please. I ordered new railings for my deck and porch. When the railings came in I didn't like the color that was chosen and called Ryan. He came out right away, brought 2 other samples and replaced the railings with a more suitable color to match my house. His workers are amazing...the quality of the work was excellent. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I can't say enough good things about Ryan and the work that was done.

The job was excellent and the staff at Jaacks was very responsive. We checked with other fence companies but this one was, by far, the most interested in our business. Pricing was fair and the installation and quality were excellent. We recommend this fence company!

Installation went smoothly - the workers were very pleasant. We were, however, very disappointed after the fact because of two things: (1) A pile of landscape debris was left in our neighbor's yard. Word to the wise: Inspect all sides of the project with the install team and LOOK AROUND for debris! Of course, this should not be necessary. (2) A significant amount of concrete pieces, large and small, were left in the beds that surround the installation site. We would have expected that Rustic would have removed all debris from the old fence, including all of the concrete. Going through the dirt now will be a pain in the neck! Summary: nice fence with some disappointment.

They showed up promptly and completed the work in 1 1/2 days, despite terrible weather which some contractors would have used as an excuse not to show up. Excellent products and service. We are extremely pleased.

They were on time, wrote the estimate right in front me. They were very courteous, and professional. I would use them again. They worked hard in the heat and did a really nice job.
