Description of Work: Replaced a tub stopper that was broken in the "CLOSED" position. When an extra set of hands was needed (someone had to be in the crawl space as well as the bathroom) the owner arrived promptly to assist. They put down rugs in their path to protect our floors. Nice people who do good work.

+ -1 moreOverall, the experience couldn't have been better, Linda and an asistant arrived promptly, made sure all shut off valves were indeed shut off ( since ours is an older house and new to us, this took some searching). Once this was done they moved to replace the faucet and in the process discovered evidence that there was a hairline crack in the connecting piping, which also had to be repaired. They were both thorough, efficient, courteous, explained in detail what they had to do and why and left no trace behind except a now functioning shower. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised, material costs were negligible and, considering the time involved, labor costs were very reasonable. I recommend them highly and as long as I live in this area, Hays Plumbing will be my "go to" plumber.

+ -1 moreThey came this morning at 8AM and installed everything and left around NOON!!!! They removed the main sump systems and battery back up and used certain parts from that to add to the other sump pump and added a new marine battery. The other new system was very small pipe (compared to the system we had) and it works off water pressure. I can totally recommend Hay's Plumbing. They have always responded to my calls promptly!!
Description of Work: I called Hayes Plumbing 8am on 8/30. I was concerned about my basement sump system (2 sump pumps and 2 backup sumps) We have a dry basement...we had invested in a drainage system with pipes running under our basement concrete that drains the perimeter of the foudation into our sumps. Our backup system was battery operated and the two batteries had been screaming for a while. Mike, of Hayes Plumbing called me back before noon and said he would be by on 8/30 (same day) to check out the problem. Mike and Mike (first time I met them) came and said both marine batteries were bad. They explained that there is a new system using water trigger and that with a new battery and parts and the other one could be fixed also. They left at 4:30 to get all the parts. They were so cordial explained their recommendations. I really was concerned about the possibility of getting the system up and running because the storms leftover from Hurricaine Issiac were headed our way with a possibility of 9 inches of rain. I was especially concerned because we do lose power often during storms. The Hayes family has been my family Plumber for 30 years at least and I don't see them very often because they take such good care of us.

I had seen their truck in my neighborhood recently at a couple of homes about the same age as mine. When I saw other good reviews here I decided to call. . Hope I don't have a need to call a plumber again but glad to know who to call. Also glad to support a woman's business in a male-dominated job. Enjoyed meeting Linda and highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Clogged sink in half-bath needed to be cleared and drain pipe under sink was leaking. This is an older home and original wall sink with chrome and galvanized pipes.

I would be very happy to have her back any time we have another plumbing problem. Everything she worked on is working very well. She left all of their work areas clean and tidy.
Description of Work: Repaired and replaced the inner workings of 2 toilet tanks, stopped 3 faucets from lealking, installed an instant hot water gizmo in the kitchen sink, installed a new outdoor faucet.

+ -1 moreEverything went well. I was able to schedule service fairly quickly. I didn't have an emergency so I was able to schedule an appointment at my convienence. Linda and Mike came to my house on time and were done pretty quickly. (they probably would have been done quicker if I hadn't enjoyed talking to them so much). We will definitely call them again if we run into any plumbing needs.
