Description of Work: Installed a radon mitigation system. Work was done on the day agreed to. Company was very accomodating in finding a day that worked in my schedule. Radovent employees cleaned up the basement after installation. Very pleased with the installation and with cleanliness of the employees. Radon level was reduced from 4.7 pCi/L to 0.7 pCi/L after installation. No complaints. I would definitely recommend the company and would use them again in another house.

Description of Work: It all went well except the installer gave me an incorrect form marked paid (when I hadn't) and I think he may have said your invoice would be coming; it never did and as a result every time I went through my work orders, etc. I would see that the bill was "paid" and it wasn't and so I got a request to pay a few weeks ago which astonished me. I proclaimed I had paid. They explained they had a huge summer turnover. I found that very unprofessional.

Description of Work: RADO-VENT got Radon levels SO LOW, lower than promised !!!!! Prompt return of phone call, available to schedule quickly, work completed same day. I was VERY HAPPY with the outside appearance of the unit. The inside is more compact than I expected, too. And did I say "neat"? Yes ! I think using gutter spouts instead of PVC pipe outside blends much better with the home.

Everything went well and the workmanship was very good too. In our case it took two visits to get the radon levels down to an acceptable level - but radon reduction isn't an exact science so this is to be expected now and then. Everything was explained very well and when it was all said an done our levels read below .9 which is exceptional.
Description of Work: The technician sealed the sump pit, installed a p-trap in the pit cover for our water softener, sealed the crawl space, and installed the vent stack and blower unit. He also sealed around the slab and walls where they were accessible. On the second visit he installed an additional suction point below the crawl space seal to provide additional venting.

The technician who provided the estimate and work (Ryan Godar) did a fantastic job explaining every detail relating to the work, even going so far as to provide guidance on how sump pump maintenance would be performed once the system was installed. System blends in well to the house siding and performs its job with aplomb. System has been working flawlessly for the past two months and decreased our radon level from 15.6 pCi/L to 1.1 pCi/L after running for one week! Would definitely recommend RadoVent to anyone who has high radon levels (above 3.9 pCi/L).
Description of Work: - Inspection, recommendation and estimate of appropriate services - Installation of active radon mitigation system: - Sealing of sump well - Drilling into concrete floor - Installation of fan (exterior placement)

The buyer insisted that the sellers remediate the elevated radon level. Radovent was the cheapest quote . They were professional from start to finish and the end test was well within the acceptable limits.
Description of Work: The buyer's home inspection revealed a slightly elevated level (4.1) and insisted that the sellers remeadiate rather than take a credit and choose there own servicer. A single hole was dug in the basement, the sump pump was sealed, and exterior venting system was put into place.

I had already identified a radon problem in the basement. Two years ago, I had contacted an unlicensed radon-mitigation service through Angie's. He said the job was not feasible because of the location of the sump pump (key source of problem). When RadoVent's estimator Ryan came this June, he saw right away that an attic system was needed. The other contractor never even mentioned this option. RadoVent's owner, Travis, arrived as scheduled and explained in detail what he was going to do. This was a helpful review of what the estimator, Ryan, had previously told me. Travis then got to work, sealing the sump pump and the basement room in which the sump pump is located. He explained that the pump would continue to work properly. He then installed a PVC pipe in the sump pump cover by way of a hole (which he'd created) and ran it over and up into the floor of the adjoining garage. The pipe extended up the back wall of the garage and through the back corner of a second floor closet in a spare bedroom above the garage. The pipe went from there into the attic and through the roof. Travis also installed a specialized attic fan to draw the radon gas out of the basement and out of the house. He sealed all openings around the pipe. In addition, Travis installed a monitor in the garage to allow for a quick and easy visual check of the functioning of the attic fan. Finally, Travis gave me a radon test kit, when was to be put into the sump pump room for several days and then sent to an independent lab for analysis. The test results indicated that the radon levels had plummeted to far less than expected.
Description of Work: Travis installed a ventilation system in our basement in order to reduce very high radon gas levels. He also sealed our sump pump and the room in which our sump pump is located
