Did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased. Very clean and professional installation. Our Radon levels went from 11.5 to 0.4.
Description of Work: Crawl space radon mitigation. Dual drop with outdoor fan. Our crawlspace was already sealed with a vapor barrier, so they just had to cut a hole in the existing vapor barrier to run the pipe into.

Once initial contact was made an on-site inspection was scheduled and completed in a few days. All services were explained clearly and thoroughly. All questions were answered to my satisfaction. The quote was competitive and the job was scheduled for a few days later. The installation was completed in about 4 hours. The staff was both polite and professional. The post installation testing results were <0.3.

The guys came out within a day or two of my initial call and spent quite a bit of time explaining what they would do. They were patient and seemed very knowledgeable. Their solution involved routing the exhaust through the garage and garage attic and out the roof, which would be much more attractive and less subject to weather extremes than routing the exhaust pipe along the exterior of the house. After I gave them the go ahead, they were able to schedule the work within 1-2 weeks. They arrived on time and were very efficient, finishing a little earlier than I had expected. In addition to the radon remediation they patched a foundation crack for considerably less money than companies that specialize in foundation repair.
Description of Work: Installed active radon remediation system and patched a foundation crack in the crawlspace.

Tim was on time and finished early. Nice, neat install. I can't be absolutely sure how accurate my radon detector is but before the install the highest short- term reading I saw was 7.94. After the install I haven't gone over 2 and usually is 1.5 or lower.

Fantastic. Adam was professional and extremely skilled. They designed an aesthetically functioning design. I watched Adam do his work, and he answered all of my questions with patience and a smile. And I am hard to please; I am a perfectionist. And Adam came through. Thanks RADOVENT!!!

Ryan Godar was great from start to finish on this job. He inspected our home, offered a discrete installation plan at an attractive price and answered many follow-up questions. The crew did all the work in 1 day, leaving a quiet system that used matching gutter on the exterior and has produced test results at < 0.3 pCi/L, or about the level that occurs naturally outside. We would highly recommend this firm.

It went well. Though there was a mix up in scheduling between Radovent and their electrician partner company, requiring the electrical to be installed a different day. It worked out fine, but they need to make sure this is coordinating a bit better. Other than that -- strong business.

RadoVent scheduled an appointment for a date soon after we contacted them to come out and assess our need, Then they scheduled the installation date for about a week later. At the initial meeting they thoroughly explained what was needed, exactly what the system was like and how they would install it, what the exact cost would be, and what the warranty covered. On the install day they were punctual and completed the work in about four hours. The entire system "blended" in nicely with the walls, joists, etc. and there was no mess as a result of the extensive work. The results of our after radon mitigation test kits came back with very low readings of 0.7 and 1.0. I highly recommend this company.

Exactly as planned during the proposal. Two men were punctual, neat, professional and made a point of explaining exactly what they were doing. The 3 inch pipe exited the basement into the garage at exactly the point I was expecting, then up the wall to the garage attic and out the roof. I have a new test being performed after the work and I will update the review once I get the results. This company beats all other competition I called for proposals with their 15 year warranty for radon levels not to exceed 2.7 rather than a 5 year warranty not to exceed 4.0 by all other competitors.

Ryan (installation tech) came to my home on time and got to work immediately. He quickly assessed where he was going to drill the holes in the basement floor and the exit point from the house. He also sealed up the sump pump cover and any cracks in the basement floor with caulk. One of the nice things that RadoVent does is match up the exhaust piping outside of the house with the exterior coloring of the house (they'll paint it if needed) so it doesn't look unsightly. The exhaust pipe is actually aluminum gutter material and is "camouflaged" by looking just like another gutter pipe. They probably have one of the best warranties in the business so it is probably worth going through them instead. They stand behind their work and insist that we contact them for any issues or questions. They will work with you to bring down the radon level if the system doesn't initially work at no extra charge. Fortunately, my radon level came down to 1.0 pCi/L from 9.5 pCi/L, but I know if there's a problem down the road I can give them call and they'll come out to remedy the issue.
Description of Work: My radon level was above acceptable levels (9.5 pCi/L). We needed a radon mitigation solution implemented.

It went awesome! They found the most unobtrusive way to route the PVC pipes for the active system, virtually invisible inside and outside the house, fabricated custom covers for the 2 sump wells and calked all accessible joints in the basement and crawlspace. All in one day. When one of three tests came back 0.1 pci/L high (2.8) they returned and installed an additional draw point at no additional charge. All work was perfectly executed and when the crew cleaned up it was as if they had never been there. This is a truly professional company that knows it's business.
Description of Work: RadoVent was among multiple contractors I asked for estimates for radon mitigation. RadoVent had the lowest bid and the best guarantee: to bring radon levels down to 2.7 picocuries per liter or lower. - for 15 years - for a fixed price. There would be no additional charge for any additional work except replacement of a failed fan. < 4.0 pci/L was the next best guarantee: 4.0 is the EPA's action number.

One worker came punctually at 9 am and spend around 6 hours complete the job. Work place is kept clean. After finishing the job, I was provided two lab test kits. I tested once after 2 weeks and again 6 months after. My radon level was 4.5 before the work and dropped to 0.6 pCi/L in the first test and 0.4 pCi/L in the 6 months follow up. I also bought a Corentium digital meter from Amazon to continously monitor my basement radon level. long term average is constantly under 1.0 pCi/L. Very satisfied with Radovent's service, definitely worth the investment.

Had the radon mitigation service from Rado Vent. They thought they had sealed everything, but I had to get them back to seal a sump pit cover. Had a second leak, which they came out and fixed. But they acted like they were doing me a favor. Two subsequent leaks I just fixed myself, as calling them was a hassle. They only would come by if one of their techs was in the neighborhood. About a year after installation, the fan failed. They came back (again, when they were in the neighborhood), and replaced the fan. But they charged a $90 service charge! Really! I have to pay to have rado vent's defective equipment replaced?

I got two quotes for radon mitigation. The other company gave me a quote over the phone, but Radovent actually came out to take a look. I?m glad they came out because we discussed multiple venting options and I think we settled on the best solution. They installed 2 fans: 1 near the crawl space, and 1 near the sump pump. They even gave me a few choices of color for the outside vent, which was nice. The installation took a day, a bit longer than expected, but no problem. The installer was very nice and even gave me some tips on how to maintain the system and safely store things on the plastic in the crawl space. I?m happy with their service and recommend Radovent.

I am pleased with Radovent installation of Radon Mitigation system at my home. The technician arrived on time, provided me detailed explanation on what he is going to do, asked me if I have any questions before proceeding to take my signature. The work done neatly. He even spray painted the outside fan/vent to match the siding color. I have finished basement and the technician used shoe cover and drop cloth in the work area. Radon rating was at 10 before installation and it came down to 0.3

Overall it went well and the system worked very successfully, bringing our radon levels from more than 11 to 0.6. The job went pretty smoothly despite some minor miscommunications. The job began more than an hour later than promised, but the worker did call ahead to notify us he would be late. Also, the job took 1 and 1/2 days rather than one day, due to a large amount of wood flooring that had to be removed from the crawlspace first. The worker was not aware of this ahead of time, and there was some miscommunication as to whether the owner or estimator hadn't notified the correct parties. The second half-day went faster with two workers instead of one. They were courteous and tried to stay quiet, as kids were napping during part of the job, and they even notified me ahead of time of any loud impending noises. Overall a good experience.
Description of Work: Installed mitigation system in basement. This included drilling a 3.5" pipe in floor of the furnace room; piping/venting it upward and outward out through brick wall; installing fan on outside of brick wall, then connecting it to a new length of gutter up past roofline to vent out radon. Sealed the sump pump with a clear cover. Also sealed crawlspace with heavy plastic and vented out radon from under the plastic, via a newly installed pipe also connecting out through to the outside. At my request, they put down dropcloths to protect the basement carpeting as they went in and out of the house. They also left us with two free test kits to re-test our radon levels post-mitigation.

The installation went extremely well. The final cost actually came in about 100 bucks under what was originally proposed. Also I was told the installation would be at most 8 hours and it got done right around 4. Randy was the installer and he was extremely knowledgeable and clear about his plan of execution and completely cleaned up after himself when the job was done. Could not recommend RadoVent more if you need a mitigation system. I had a great experience.
