Naperville Windows & Doors was my very first quote. As I am a bit OCD, I received several other quotes for Marvin Ultimate Windows and either LP Smartside or James Hardie siding. I quickly wrote off Hardie as the difference in price for the Hardie product was significant. In the end, I went with NWD because Don listened to what I wanted, andwered all my questions (I had a lot!) and gave a quote that I felt represented a fair value. The workers focused on quality of work, not speed, which is exactly what I expect when I hire work to be done. They were extremely respectful to my family and my property and answered any question that I had. The final product looks amazing outside and inside. I was amazed at how closely the stain matches the other woodwork in my house. My neighbors comment constantly about how great the house looks and I am very happy that I can open windows (yeah, the old windows were that bad). Lastly, LP smartside and trim look amazing! I definitely prefer its look over Hardie board and I am confident the durability will prove to be just as good if not better.

Don, the owner, was extremely thorough throughout the entire purchase process. We changed our minds several times in our door selection, and Don sent quotes back in less than 24 hours. The door was installed today and we are extremely pleased with the quality of the product. His installers were so hard-working! I interviewed two other companies before choosing Naperville Windows. Don's (the owner) price was lower than the others and he impressed me with his knowledge and honesty. I have 30 window openings, with 58 casement sections. Almost every window in my home has custom made Plantation Shutters. Don's crew took them down and put them back up, a very time consuming task. The crew are craftsman, very adept at carpentry and problem solving. Don made sure that I was pleased with the trim work, shutter installation and window installation. Don was great to work with, the windows are beautiful and open and close "like butter". The shutters are properly installed. I am completely satisfied with Naperville Windows and do not hesitate to recommend them.

I contacted them through their website and never heard back. 2 weeks later I called the office to see if I could get an estimate (in their defense I was on vacation one of the weeks but they didn't try to contact me during that time). I had to wait to get an estimate due to scheduling issues. Don was scheduled to come at 9am but called at 9:30 saying he was going to be another 30-45 minutes. I told him that was unacceptable and then he said he would be there in the next 5 minutes. I understand traffic and appointments run long, but it gave me the impression that my time wasn't worth anything to him and that he could go for a cup of coffee before heading to a scheduled appointment. I work from home so I purposely planned this appointment to coincide with free time that I had in my day. As it was when he finally left, I ended up late to a conference call. I told him that I was getting another quote the following week and I would make my decision after, but he still emailed to see I made a decision before I received my last quotes. I found a product and professionalism that I liked better from another company so I have decided to go through them instead. I may try them again in the future for a different job and hope for a better experience.

Professional from start to finish. These guys worked hard and didn't waste any time on the job site. They addressed all the little issues we brought up.

Don was very polite, thorough and professional and made sure we understood the complete process. His pricing was the lowest of the three certified Marvin dealers in the area. His crew arrived a little late the first day, not sure what the problem was but were right on time the next day and finished ahead of schedule. The old Family room Atrium door was a disaster. They removed all rotted wood down to the foundation and built a new sill plate and frame. Kitchen Bay window was not much better. Replaced all rotted wood and covered moisture problem areas in PVC and aluminum to avoid future problems. They reviewed all problem areas with me as they found them. All windows were installed true and level, with tight seals. All brick mold was removed and replaced with a brick mold style aluminum made on site (no more painting). They were polite and protected everything inside where the worked. They cleaned up their mess every day before they left.

Everything went fantastic. The windows look great, installers were very professional and courteous. They went above and beyond with the kitchen window enlargement by doing additional demolition that was supposed to be done by other contractors. I'm happy with the price as well.

Every aspect of this transaction was handled professionally from the initial contact via Angie's List through the final install. We would definitely use this company again! All of our questions were answered during the first visit (for the estimate); he came out a second time after we chose to go with them to re-measure and confirm all details; and then scheduled the install at our convenience. They took their time with the installation, making sure everything was done correctly. We are AMAZED how quiet it now is in our kitchen!! What a huge difference this new door makes. No hidden fees. Naperville Windows is very professional and the work team worked well together. Everything was finished in two days.

Don showed up at the planned time. He called ten minutes before he showed. He was clean cut, polite and very thorough. He actually explained that the spacers on the glass just needed to be adjusted to realign the glass and close the gap. He said the windows were in fine shape and did not need replacing. He gave us a rough estimate on replacement should we want to think about replacing in the future. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.

They are providing all the work. I have referred them to other people. If there was another opportunity, I definitely would use them again.

I was very impressed with Don and his honesty. Although he actually talked himself out of a job, I really want to review him for his low pressure, honest suggestion that save me thousands of dollars. He was very professional and knows his products well. He, came to my house to give me a quote for a front door replacement. He was the 2nd contractor I was speaking with (one had already been out to the house for a 90 minute high pressure visit and quote). When I answered the door, Don asked me if the door I opened was the door he was there to quote me on. I'd said yes, and he said, "Why? It looks new." I told him it was less than 3 years old, but that I wanted to get a door panel with glass in it for daylight in my entry hall. He asked me if there was a reason I didn't want to call Pella to replace just the door panel; for a huge savings? Pella is a company he does not sell, so this was just him being honest. I was shocked, and asked him if he thought it could be done, and he said he wasn't sure but that the house was new enough it was worth looking into. I had asked the prior door company (the high pressure one) about replacing only the door panel, but was told that it would be hard to fit and it was better to replace the whole door, side light and door frame...at a much higher cost and not to mention, a waste of materials. I was feeling apprehensive and actually wasteful about ripping out the entire door frame since the house was new, but figured I didn't have a choice. I didn't know it was a Pella door until Don told me it was. (I'm convinced the other sales rep also knew it was a Pella door, and so I'm sure he had lied to me when I asked about just replacing the panel.) Don did give me a quote on the door I had been prepared to purchase (not a Pella) and his quote was far less than the other door company's, so if I was replacing the whole thing as originally thought, I would have gone with Naperville Windows and Doors because I liked Don's low pressure approach, honesty, and price. I did call Pella after Don left, and I am having only the door panel and sidelight glass replaced. It's less wasteful, and a fraction of the cost! I am very grateful to Don and Naperville Windows and Doors. I WILL be calling them again if I ever need windows or doors. Nice to know there are still some people who put their integrity first.

I highly recommend this company. Don thoroughly explained all of the options and trade-offs, gave us a fair price, the communication and coordination of the installation was excellent. His installers were timely, experienced, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. At every step along the way, they treated the job as if they were doing it for their own mother.

As we were looking for doors, instead of picking the most expensive door, they kept us nice in the middle range, where we wanted to be. He was very helpful with that. He was very good with that. They were very prompt and did very good work. The owner came to inspect the work his workers did after the job was done, to make sure it was done correctly, which was very nice.

Naperville Windows and Doors did a great job! Don came out several times to discuss window options and choices with us. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. When the time came for window installation, it was the extremely cold days in January and Don and his team did an excellent job in limiting the area that they were working on at one time. That way the entire house didn't get cold. They were efficient and did a great job in cleaning up. We would definitely use Naperville Windows and Doors again in the future.

They did four widows with built-in blinds and two fiber glass windows. They arrived early and they cleaned up after themselves. They were efficient and completed the 2 day project in one day. The weather was about 32° and they didn’t manage to do a bit of painting but they sent someone in the next morning to complete. It. That was just 30 minutes of work to be completed.

Work was performed as promised, neat workers, took care of outside to make sure no damages to bushes or landscape. Clean up and work was top notch.

Company rep noted that the existing double-entry door (Fiberglass Therma-Tru) was in good mechanical shape but had a faded and scratched interior & exterior finish and weather stripping that was shot. The beat finish and shot weather stripping motivated the call to Naperville Windows and Doors initially. Recommendation was to clean the door, apply a quality gel-stain, replace the weather stripping with quality weather stripping readlly available at Home Depot and Lowes. Results are beautiful. I very much appreciated their advice. They could have pushed to sell me a new door, as other vendors did, but Naperville Windows and Doors were very professional, honest, and focused on the best solution for the customer. Although we did not cut a deal on a new door, if and when I need a new quality door I will definitely start with Naperville Windows and Doors.

We initially got an estimate from the "official" Marvin window distributor in our area and received a quote that we felt was excessive. After receiving a few other quotes, I joined Angie's List and did my homework. I read reviews of other vendors and noticed Naperville Windows and Doors had great reviews so I called and had the owner Don come out for a quote. Don was very knowledgeable and did not press hard for a sale. He explained all the differences between the competing brands and then all the models that Marvin had. After agreeing on a price, we waited for the windows to be built and then Don's staff installed them. His installers are extremely friendly, hardworking and helpful. They professionally trimmed out the windows. They showed up on time and never left a mess. After everything was installed, my wife noticed a hairline crack in the sash of the largest window. Don immediately ordered a new window and in 4 weeks totally replaced a $2800 window and took an additional $100 off the bill. Naperville Windows and Doors were very concerned that everything was perfect and that we were happy with the purchase and installation. I would absolutely use them again in a heartbeat.

Very easy company to work with from start to finish. Installation had to be pushed back a couple days due to the weather. They kept up informed as to exactly when they would arrive. Workers were respectful of our home. They took their shoes off and kept construction mess to a minimum. They cleaned up each day when they finished. Work was performed to our highest expectations. We had 3 quotes for exactly the same thing. Napervlle Windows and Door had the best price in the area for Marvin Windows. Would recommend this company to anyone looking for new doors and windows!

Don and his crew did an excellent job installing our windows and doors on the first floor of our home. Don's crew was very professional and worked very hard to install the windows correctly. We have a 1920's brick home and some of the windows being replaced were the original windows. I know they ran into a few problems getting the windows and doors in, but they did a great job and didn't rush through the install. In fact it took them about 2 days longer than they expected, but I appreciate that they took the extra time to get it right rather than rush off to another job. The crew was very respectful of my home and cleaned up and removed all debris every day. We also had them stain and finish the windows and all the trim, and they did an absolutely fantastic job. We have an arts & crafts syle bungelow and wanted to match the trim and keep the original style, and Don was able to match it very well. We are enjoying our beautiful new windows and doors and have received many complements from friends, neighbors & family. Our house is much quieter and no drafts at all with the new windows/doors. I would highly recommend Naperville Windows & Doors.

Don and his team were great. We wanted more light in our entryway so went with a door with doubel side lights. Don installed the door and built custom aluminum/pvc clad brickmold on the exterior that blends perfectly with the stained finish of the door. What made this trickier than normal install was the fact that the new single door with sidelights is not as wide as the old the double door that was replaced, so the extra gap between the widths of the door needed to be filled in and new siding installed. You can't tell that there used to be a doubel door there. This is the seond door they have installed for us, installing a patio slider a few years ago. Both times we have been very pleased. We will be contacting Naperville Windows and Doors when we start replacing the windows on our house.

Don and his installers are fantastic! Responsible, polite, reliable, and very good at what they do. Our installers, Nero and Ben, were wonderful. They were very professional, very polite, very clean and meticulous. We had a full install done, meaning all of our trim was also replaced. We'd had custom trim done in our house by a very good carpenter 15 years ago and were concerned that the new trim wouldn't look at nice or wouldn't fit well with the pieces they weren't replacing (e.g. chair rail). But the NWD guys are as good at trim work as they are at windows. They had to fit new trim around existing chair rails and paneling and the end result looks perfect - we couldn't be more pleased! Some of our windows were painted and some were stained. The stained windows/trim match perfectly the sample we'd given them. Other estimates we received were higher for the same windows, and there were extra charges for every little thing.....with NWD, everything was so easy and straightforward. Don's price was 10-15% less than the competition and included everything. They took down our window treatments, replaced the windows, did a fabulous trim job both inside and outside, re-hung the window treatments, and cleaned up everything every night before they left. NWD offered the best installation warranty of all the companies we talked to; after seeing the work they did, I'll be surprised if we even have to use the warranty! We expect to need some siding replaced within a few years; it's a relief knowing that we now know a company we can trust to do the work for us.

Don and his team were terrific. I priced four companies (including Naperville Windows and Doors) and Don had a great approach to sales - he is completely straightforward. With the other companies, I felt like a potential customer in the movie Glen Garry, Glen Ross where the salesmen use unethical tactics to try and persuade people to buy what they're selling. That turned me off to the other companies right away. Fortunately, with Don, he had the best approach and the best price by several (and sometimes many) thousands of dollars. We replaced every window and exterior door in our house using Naperville W&D using a high-end window. They did great work quickly and were incredibly careful about not damaging the exterior and interior of our house, to the point where they took their shoes off at the front door every time they came inside. They also held a shop vac up to the sawzall while cutting the drywall around the window to minimize the dust inside. The windows look great and they are very well installed, we had an extremely positive experience. Don was extremely attentive and responsive and, most importantly, took the time to explain everything to my wife and me and thoughtfully answer our questions. Bottom line for our experience is that Naperville W&D had the best price, best approach to sales, great service, and the end result is fantastic.
