Description of Work: We purchased padding and carpet from FCA and they installed it throughout our house. We went into FCA originally because we received a mailer advertising an installation special ($40 installation, a savings of about $1,000). We worked with Kate who was very friendly and helpful. We knew basically what we wanted when we went in and decided on what we wanted pretty quickly, so we scheduled an appointment for someone to come and measure the house. Kate was also nice enough to come out to the house for a color consultation and later sent some paint samples to us since we will be painting in the future, as well. We had some issues with the appointment for the measurement due to a miscommunication. We had been given a time frame for the measurement, but were assured he would show up around 5pm. The gentleman who was supposed to be measuring called earlier than this and said he would come measure. He was a bit rude on the phone when I explained I was out of town and my husband wouldn't be home until later. However, when he actually showed up (at the original time we were told and the time he took issue with), my husband said he was friendly and explained he was busy and on a time crunch to get information in by a certain time. When we got the quote for the carpet, it was actually incorrect at first. They had used the wrong price for the carpet. However, they noticed the error and corrected it before we placed our down payment. I was also told that the $50 we had paid to have someone come and measure would be applied to an order and it wasn't until I reminded them. After all was said and done, though, the quote was very close to the rough estimate my husband and I had come up with, so we were pleased. I would just advise future customers to pay close attention to the estimate and make sure they apply the $50 measurement fee to your order. After all of this, Kate told me to call in a few days to schedule the installation. I spoke with the scheduler who was a bit unhelpful at first. He informed me that the carpet wasn't in yet, which I was aware of, and left it at that, not offering anymore help or information. He didn't understand why I was calling until I mentioned Kate said I could call and schedule the installation for a few weeks out, to be sure the carpet would be in. After that, he was more pleasant and we scheduled the installation. We decided to save some $ and remove the old carpet ourselves, so when the installers came on the scheduled date, they got straight to work. They worked from about 7:45am to about 3:30pm, without taking any breaks and even being hesitant to accept the water my husband offered to them. Overall they did a pretty good job, with maybe a few rough spots here and there that we might try to take care of ourselves. Overall, we had a very good experience with FCA. I think some of the more "behind the scenes" staff could be a bit more friendly and professional, but overall I am happy with the services and products I received from FCA.

Description of Work: Tore up carpet and hardwood floor and installed bamboo flooring. Everything was mostly ok. There were a few scratches that they came back and fixed later.

Description of Work: Installed carpeting and vinyl flooring in newly refinished basement. I have used FCA in the past and based on that experience I used them again. The staff is professional, they came early and my floors look wonderful. This was my first experience with vinyl flooring and the quality and installation process would definitely make me consider using it again. I chose wood-look vinyl and it looks so good and completely seamless. Everyone comments how surprised they are when they learn it's vinyl. It looks as good or better than my actual hardwood floors in the rest of my house and is so durable. The installation process was fairly quick. The carpet installation was quick and the quality was good too. Very nice installation teams.

Description of Work: Installers were very professional and did a great job. The sales folks did not seem to understand their merchandise very well though. But when all was said and done, the carpet looks great.

Description of Work: Terrible customer service. Repeated errors when fulfilling the order (ie, cancelling items that were not to be cancelled, providing produce that was damaged and/or missing parts, long delays in contacting my contractor or me).

Description of Work: I had the carpeting in my living room/dining room/hallway and 1 bedroom replaced. I worked with Latti Richards and she is absolutely the best! Knows her product and took the time to understand what I needed/could afford and gave me accurate and helpful information that helped me make choices that fit my needs/budget. The installers were very professional and did a great job. Overall, couldn't be happier and would happily use FCA again.

Description of Work: They installed laminate flooring in our hall. The job was fine and well done. The job was scheduled for one day and they didn't show up. After several phone calls, they did come the next day.

Description of Work: Had hardwood laminate floors installed in all of first floor in my home. Two men came and installed floors. Noticed a couple imperfections after install in recent months but not too big a deal. Did an overall good job.

Description of Work: Carpeted 2 sets of stairs in closed stair ways. Used top quality stain master carpet and better pad. Initially 1st saleswomans quote was very high,well over $1000. I went back in the store on Rte 59,Shorewood,Illinois and spoke w/Adam,the 2nd time, the final price was much lower,at least $800. Less .

Description of Work: Used Naperville Store- My first impression wasn't good. I had talked to a new person that knew nothing about backsplashes or tile. But then another salesperson stepped in and she knew her stuff! She came to my home, measured and designed the most amazing backsplash! I spent more than I was planning- BUT I got a whole lot more than I was expecting! AMAZING! As far as cost- I didn't price out with other companies. They were probally a little more- but they earned my business. (The salesperson- completely saved the deal!Her expertise is wonderful.) The installers were very nice and knocked it out quickly. My only complaint would be- I had to rewipe the cabinets, water drops all over. BUT again I would recommend FCA and this installer all day long!

Description of Work: I'm a homeowner and landlord for decades. I always get a couple of estimates for most jobs. This company charges for an estimate. I did not use them for that reason.
