Mark called to schedule an estimate for the following day & gave us a fair price. We were able to get on his schedule in about 2 weeks. He arrived promptly and was very meticulous with his work, making sure everything was even. He kept me informed of progress along the way & we are very pleased with the work he did for us!! Would recommend him highly!

Excellent. The floor vent was repaired. The mantle was problematic to take off because of the way it was installed, but Mark was able to fix it and it looks great now. He even gave me a discount because he was not able to fix it the way we originally planned. It did not matter because it is just fine now with the way he ended up resolving it. I would absolutely recommend him and will use him again in the future.

With Marks oversight and carpentry skills, we were able to finish the project on time and under budget. Decisions made during the build also helped improve the project and save lumber. That in turn helped the Hesed House save some money as well. Overall, the project was a huge success and Mark played a very intregal part of that. Thank you Mark! Marc was responsive, reasonable and professional. I can't say enough about how well this went. Marc provided a variety of carpentry services in our Mud Room with the best being a support system for the granite top that goes just over our washer and dryer. It was important to us to match the other pieces in the room - namely the cubby system. Marc made it look great, matches perfectly. The part of the experience I enjoyed most was that he did what he said he would do. Good old fashioned quality work - with no nickel and dime extras. I would use Marc again.

Better than I had hoped. Mark is very good at what he does- he thought about all of the potential challenges to our project, works through them all in advance (he built a plywood model as a test) and finished earlier that he thought. He showed up when he said he would, cleaned everything up, and cared about whether I was completely satisfied with the final product, which I definitely am.

I am extremely happy with my finished basement. Mark gave us a quote for the work and the final price was the same as the quote. His schedule to complete the project was also as stated. He arrived at our house early each morning and worked very hard all day until the basement was completely finished. The walls and ceiling are beautiful. My basement looks like New Construction. -I will definitely refer Mark to all my friends and neighbors and use his services again for remodeling other areas of my home. I can't believe at how simple the process was. Mark came out and looked it over and gave us a fair quote very quickly afterwards. We were flexible so Mark came out a couple times but each time he was very courteous with planning. We will be happy to use creative edge carpentry again.

Mark was able to come up with a custom set of cabinets and mantle that all integrated. Within the mantle, he was able to integrate a functional path to feed all cable to the power, cable, etc, with only a four inch gap of any cables. He was able to finish them in time and budget, just in time for an upcoming party. We have already gotten several compliments and someone asking how they could reach them.

We were very pleased with the final cabinet and with the process. Mark was responsive and gave us quotes on two different projects. We decided to have him build the custom cabinet in the basement this time. When we are ready to have the other project done, we will call Mark again.

Love the finished product! Better than expected

Exterior window bay panels were rotting and had put project off because I wasn't sure who to hire. Based on previous Angie's list reviews called Creative Edge Carpentry in Naperville as they were close by. Mark responded right away, and within a couple days was able to come out and provide me a quote. Was able to get me scheduled a few weeks after that and did a fantastic job! Panels look good as new and it was obvious that he put the effort in to do the job right. Price was reasonable as well. I will call Mark back for future carpenter needs.

He was great at getting the job done professionally, and made sure that the stain matched our existing woodwork. He is very popular so there is a delay in the time he can do work, but that was agreed upon in the initial quote.

Mark was prompt and his work looks amazing.

Mark was great to work with from initial contact to the completion of work. We asked him to re-purpose a television armoire, basically shortening it to the height of a table so that it could be used to either place a larger flat screen television or to simply display items. Upon his arrival, he conducted a thorough inspection of the amoire and was careful to ensure that he understood exactly what we wanted while also sharing his own ideas. He gave us a fair quote which we agreed to and he subsequently contacted us within a few days to schedule a pick-up. During this process, he was prompt in responding to any questions we had. Two days after picking up the armoire, he called to advise completion of the work and to schedule delivery. The final product turned out great, with the detailed features still intact including crown molding. Most importantly, we are very happy to make practical use of this piece of furniture again. Armoires were great back in the day when televisions were the shape of a box, but the large flat screen we bought could not fit within. We really hated to just get rid of the armoire because it was such a beautiful piece. We read about re-purposing furniture and were very happy to have found Mark to execute our vision.

I initially called and left a message on Mark's phone. He called back within 24 hours and arranged to come and look at the work, warning me that his working time was scheduled for 4-6 weeks ahead. He came out as arranged and called me back with an estimate (less than I expected) a couple of days later. We agreed that if the work turned out to be more involved than expected, the cost could increase. About 4 weeks later, he called to say that a cancellation had given him some available time later that week. The time worked for me, so I accepted. The day before he was to come out, I found another rotten window sill, which also needed repair, and left him a phone message about it. He came out as arranged and completed all the necessary work to a very high standard. The final cost was (entirely appropriately) a bit higher than the original estimate, in proportion to the additional work needed, and I still felt that I had made a very good bargain.

The work was carried out very well. Mark arrived on time, brought all material needed. Quality of work is very good, great finish. Left the place very clean.
