Description of Work: My garage door opener would not work after 14 years. I had had it repaired a few years back but knew this time it would have to be replaced. I called John on a Saturday and he was out on Monday. Opener was indeed "dead" and John also detected that I needed a new rail since the one I had was from a box store and was sections bolted together and not a single long rail. He took out the old gear, installed the new rail and opener and re-wired everything. He cleaned up and took away the debris. The new opener is very quiet and I couldn't be happier. John is professional, pleasant and his price was fair, actually lower than others. I would recommend him to everyone.

Description of Work: A spring broke on my garage door. They were out the same day I called and put a temporary fix in place to get me running again while new springs were ordered. My doors are not a normal size / weight so they didn't have the spring in stock. Custom springs arrived and were installed without any issues. New door running great 6+ months later. Would happily use them again.

Description of Work: Bill's son replaced the bottom seals on a double and a single garage door. They also replaced some rusted track and "tuned up" the doors. The project went smoothly and I was mpressed with the new seals. So much better than the previous ones we had. Also, the double door runs smoother and MUCH quieter than before. We've had it serviced by others but I never noticed an improvement until Bill's service. I was thinking we needed new doors and openers because they were so loud and shaky. Bill 's saved me from spending unnecessary money for new doors, etc.

Description of Work: Our garage door was going up at all times of the day. When I called Bill he gave me very good advice on how to check for the cause of the problem in place of coming over and charging for a service call. When the first suggestion did not find the problem, I called Bill again and he gave me another suggestion. That one worked. I fixed my own problem with help from Bill and no charge.

+ -1 moreHad problem with water in the garage. I thought it was due to needing new rubber trim at bottom of door. Bills came out within an hour of my call to diagnose the problem. The water was coming in from the garage door (cracks in the wood). Stated he could replace the rubber trim at the bottom of the door, but it wouldn't solve the problem and would be a waste of money. I requested a quote on installing a new garage door from Bills. They provided it right on the spot and did not charge for coming out to my home and diagnosing the problem.
Description of Work: Bills came out within an hour of my call to diagnose why I had water coming into my garage.

In this case, he had many great ideas and was a lot of help picking out the best door to fit our needs and style of our home, even giving out addresses in our town so that I could go and look at some doors to help me decide. We are very happy with the door and have received many complements from neighbors, etc. I highly recommend Bill!!!!
Description of Work: Bill and his son installed a new single car garage door for me. For many years prior, Bill has done various repairs at two different homes. Many times he has 'trouble shooted' over the phone, free of charge. I have always received great service from him, so I was happy to finally buy a new garage door from him.

+ -1 moreIt was very cold and couldn't get the garage door to close. I thought it must be frozen but nothing worked to get it to close. I left a voice mail message on Sunday. I received a call 8 am Monday. He was at my house by 10 am the same day and had it working in less than an hour. I have not had a problem with my garage door since. I have never received such quick and exceptional service from any other company. I would use them again and refer them to anyone who mentions to me they are having a problem with their garage door.
Description of Work: Garage door would not close. Changed the weight/load so the door would have more force to close.

He answered all our questions in a cooperative and friendly manner, explaining pros/cons of options. The doors arrived on time and were professionally installed by Nill and his son. Bill even had to make some adjustments and repairs (for damage caused by other contractors on site) and did so promptly and at no charge to us. The price he quoted was the price we paid - no unmentioned "extras". The doors look great, operate as advertised and we are very happy with the end result.
