BILL'S GARAGE DOOR SERVICE

We initially called Bill's Garage Door for an estimate because another family member recommended him. We weren't able to open our garage door at the time. He came out the same day and gave an estimate. He took the time to talk over the details with us. His pricing was in line with the other service we contacted. We decided to go ahead and use Bill, so he got the door and installed it for us within a couple of days. His son works with him and did most of the installation but Bill started out the day with him and came by several times to check on the progress. The garage door and opener have been working perfectly and we are very satisfied with the quality of work.

I reviewed Angie's List, then called Bill's based on all the positive reviews, and wanting to support a local Mundelein business. I called at 9:45, and Bill returned my call within 30 minutes. His son, also named Bill, got to the house by 10:45. He did some checks and quickly diagnosed the problem as bad sensors. They were also improperly mounted on the same side of the garage, (negating their intended purpose as a safety feature), by the previous owner of our house. Bill replaced the sensors and wires, mounted them correctly, and did routine maintenance to lube up the entire mechanism. It's amazing how much quieter our door opens now! Used the Angie's List coupon to save a bit of cash. Phone call to completed job was 2 hours. Great experience.

Over the phone, the owner clearly understood my problem and they came promptly replacing all the parts without leaving a mess. They updated our touch pads and push buttons and even programmed my car's built in door opener for me. Great work.

He was excellent. He knew his business. It was installed easily and it has been working well ever since.

It was great to have a service provider come out and go a good job at a reasonable price. As a single homeowner, it is great to have Angie list to be able to find qualified people.I would definitely recommend them.

Father priced the quote and ordered a custom door for me. Dropped color sample at the mail box and took measurements when I was at work. A couple of weeks later he scheduled the installation on one of the coldest days of the year. His son was going to come. I offered for them to postpone, due to weather. The son was very nice and appreciative of the offer. He said he was booked the next week and wanted to do on the day scheduled. I came home to find a perfectly installed garage door.

Bill Jr.showed up on time, took down old opener track and motor. He installed new opener, new keypad and took all old material with him. Had an unrelated issue with rollers a few days later. He came over and fixed it right away. A great experience from a good company!

I had been having trouble with the motion sensors on this garage door. Another company replaced them and they still wouldn't work. That company recommended getting a new garage door opener. I called Bill's to see if they could fix it and they were able to fix the problem. They were able to come within a few hours of my call and were on time and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Was out within 3 hours, quickly diagnosed, and was repaired an hour later. Door closes as smoothly as it ever has.

When Bills Garage door got there I greeted him at the door and showed him the problem and within 2-3 minutes he showed me a couple of other things that he saw right away that I didn't notice that needed fixing. I went back in the house and he said he would come knock on the door when he was done. About 30-45 minutes later he was done and he explained everything he did and I paid him and evrything has worked lovely since.

Bill's responded quickly to my request for service because our garage door wouldn't open. His son (also Bill) came out an hour or so later, fixed it quickly at what I believe to be a fair price and was very professional and courteous. He gave me the options and explained the charges involved, and he also installed a key pad for our garage door for a surprisingly low cost. The Angie's List reviews are why I called them for service, having used another company in the past (that incidentally charged a higher labor fee 2 years ago than Bill's does now) and the Angie's List coupon certainly helped!

I called Bill to set up a time for a non-emergency garage door opener repair. He was able to schedule an appointment quickly and accommodated our weekday schedule. The work was performed promptly, competently and for a fair price.

Turns off there was debris on the sensor and I felt rather foolish for not knowing that but Bill was VERY nice and basically just did an inspection and service call; replaced a few rollers, lubed the mechanism and checked out all the workings. He called the same day I had sent out the inquiry and was out the next day. VERY good on calling to make sure the it,e he had worked with my schedule. An overall great experience. highly recommended.

Great. Old garage door had less qualified spring at just one side, and stopped working. Bill put accurate quality spring at both sides. Now the garage door move smoothly and securely.

i live out of town. Bill responded quickly to my calls and provided a reasonable estimate in a timely manner. He gave good advice and was polite and professional. For unrelated reasons, I did not actually proceed with the replacement, but would have contracted with him if I had.

He was on time. After he got done with the motor he tightened up all the bolts. The door still works. I’d call them again.

The experience took the stress out of my worrying how I was going to get my car out of the garage.

Bill's Garage Door Service was one of two garage door companies I contacted for an estimate on replacing my two garage doors. (I selected both based on Angie's List reviews). Bill was punctual for the estimate appointment, and was friendly and professional. He gave me as much time as I needed during the estimate meeting to discuss options and colors. After the appointment he followed up by phone a couple of times; he showed that he wanted the business, but didn't pester me. It only took a couple of weeks between the time I gave him the order and the installation. He knew that I was out of town on vacation in the near future, so he arranged his schedule to make sure that he could complete the installation before I left for the trip. His son, who works with him, did most of the work. He (his name is Bill, too) arrived punctually and was also courteous, professional, and capable. The installation was done very well--the doors fit beautifully, the openers were re-adjusted, and the weather stripping was installed very snugly. This is a clean, tight job. Bill swept up the garage after he was finished and put everything back just as it was. After they left, I was checking something out and caused a problem with one of the doors. This was entirely my fault, and necessitated Bill's return to fix the problem. He came back the very next day, a Saturday, to take care of it. He was nice about it, and didn't charge me for the follow up even after I asked what I owed him. I am extremely happy with the work that Bill and his son did, and with their customer-friendly approach to their business. I recommend them for garage door work with no reservations whatever.

The spring broke on my two-car garage door. Called Bill and left a message. He called right back and made an appointment to come later that afternoon. He actually came earlier than scheduled (and called first to make sure it was OK). He worked quickly and cleanly. The garage door has never worked better in the 10 years I've owned the house. Great experience!
