Description of Work: Professional office staff. Estimate delivered as promised. Work was scheduled and completed on time. Clean and efficient. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. There was a $100 Angie's List coupon that helped.

Description of Work: Removed an old driveway, regraded and laid a new asphalt drive. We have a double drive so we split the total cost with our neighbors. The total cost was about five thousand and our share was about twenty five hundred. It was also the lowest bid we received.

Description of Work: Ask for a quote on seal coating. They only provide seal coating on driveways they have paved. Should not be under seal coating category.

Description of Work: Was provided an original estimate by Orlando Morin that wasn't as detailed as I would have liked since I had some problem spots such as low lying / sunken areas. I called back and spoke to Robert Morin, the owner, who came out and discussed these specific issues and how they could be remedied. He was very helpful in explaining how he could address these issues. Once I selected their firm they told me I had to obtain the work permit from my local building works department which turned out not to be true. The city in which I live told me that American Asphalt could have obtained the permit for me but just didn't want to. This was inconvenient for me as I had to go into work downtown late. Nevertheless, once the permit was obtained and a date scheduled, American Asphalt did the job in one day. They had two crews- one that dug up the existing asphalt removing it and the other that did the paving. The work is extremely well done and solved my two major problem areas.

Description of Work: Contacted this company for a second estimate based upon Angie's list recommendations. Our blacktop drive needs to be removed and replaced completely as is. They were $1700 higher, or 40% than our first bid from another company that comes highly recommended by neighbors, not yet on Angie's. Won't be using them. Let the buyer shop around!

Description of Work: Old asphalt drive dug up new base added and new asphalt laid. I was at work when the job was performed (done in one day) and came home to a new drive. No mess left behind at all.
