Outstanding. Excellent quality. Showed up exactly when they said they would and did the entire job in 2 hours. It took a bit long to get an estimate in the spring, but that is only because they are so good and are extremely busy!

The salesperson helped configure expansion. The office people called to set date and followed up with confirmation call as date was near. The owner and crew arrived on time (early morning) and took extra effort to remove roots from a tree that had been removed last year, so grading would be correct. After digging up old asphalt, new base material was delivered and prepared for paving. Asphalt arrived soon after and job was done by noon. New driveway looks great. Instructions for care were provided and site left clean. Very pleased with and glad to recommend American Asphalt Maintenance. As noted in other review, they also offer to donate $20 to one of 3 charities they support, through their website.

This company offered great communication throughout the project and a professional product. I would recommend them because they were quick, quiet, and clean.

Contractor had to do some regrading to join the new asphalt with the existing concrete and asphalt road in front of the house. The crew showed up 1/2 hour before the scheduled appointment time and went right to work preparing the surface for the asphalt. This also involved cutting back some of the grass to ensure a consistent and straight drive. The crew was very diligent in their work and completed the installation in about 2-1/2 hours. The owner was the primary communicator for the group. We discussed the tie-in of the driveway to the existing road in front of the house to make sure I was in agreement with the plan. Even though we are yet to use the driveway, I was very happy with the workmanship.

I checked out several providers before selecting American Asphalt to replace my 50 foot long, 2 1/2 car wide driveway. Their price was within the range of all the quotes I received. What I liked about Rob (the owner), Naomi (managing the office side), and the rest of their team was their friendliness, responsiveness, and commitment to making me a happy customer. Even though my house is located a bit outside of their normal service area, and they are very busy, Rob came out a number of times to provide his estimate, and helped me work with the Building Director of my village to satisfy the requirements for my building permit. The process for the demolition of the old driveway and the installation of the new drive was so fast! - Rob brought a crew of six experienced guys who worked together like a well-oiled machine (pardon the cliché). There were respectful of my property, and as much as possible avoided blocking the roadway for traffic. The Village Building Director watched the installation with me and signed off on my permit right away. In about 3 hours total they were done, cleaned up and zoomed away. I am sure that if any issues or questions arise in the next year, they will be just as quick to respond.

They did a very good job! I didn't see any spills on the grass or pavers. I would definitely use again.

The salesperson who first came to my home was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made certain that he noted everything we wanted as we did change the shape of the driveway. The people in the office were very responsive and we set a date. The crew came and dug out my old asphalt and took it away. They left the area perfectly clean. The next morning a crew of 10 men along with the owner of the company came and laid the new asphalt. It looks terrific. They corners were hand rolled and they followed the lines left to show the new shape perfectly. It is obvious that the owner takes pride in the quality of the work done. Once again, all instructions for care were given to me and my property was perfectly clean after the job was completed. I am extremely pleased with my new driveway and would recommend American Asphalt Maintenance Inc to anyone who needs to have their asphalt driveway redone or cared for in any manner Additionally, they donate $20 to one of 3 charities they support. The crew was very effective. Everybody has their duties and nobody gets in each others way. Great care was taken to not damage the sidewalks and curb. Heavy rain caused a reschedule and we were fit in within a couple of days. Tear out and prep took just under an hour on Saturday. Following Monday new driveway was put in and again everything was smooth. Crew went out of their way not to block street and other driveways. The sidewalk leading to the porch was installed and old driveway poured over the top when house built. Crew took great care in shaping new driveway to mold to sidewalk so there won't be a bump or the asphalt put on top of it. Nice detail that wasn't expected.

I left a message with this company desiring an estimate to replace my driveway. After two weeks, there was still no response.

Orlando came out promptly with an estimate. I asked the compaies I called that I wanted to be present and talk things over, not just an estimate on my door. Two just did the estimate without me and did put it on my door. I did not call them back. Orlando answered all my questions, told me I would need a Village permit and when they could start and finish the driveway. I also had them remove an old cemented basketball hoop next to the driveway for an additional $250. They had 9 workers do the job and it was done quickly and looks good. I waited 2 months to write this review incase I had any unexpected problems and how they would handle it. I had no problems.

A few days after contacting AAM for an estimate I met with Frank. My existing drive had sunk, funneling water towards my home. I was very specific on how the new driveway should be graded and widened. Frank understood my concerns, set the expectations for what they would do and gave me a fair price. Communication with AAM was excellent, more than I expected and welcomed. The forecast called for rain on the day my project was scheduled to start. Naomi called and asked if the project could start a day early, which I agreed to. The project was completed on the originally scheduled date, even with the rain day! A week after the install a major storm swept through the area and I was able to see if the grading was correct. It was and again, better than I expected. My water issues are gone now and the driveway looks great. Overall The entire staff, front office to the guys that lay the payment, are knowledgeable and courteous. I could not ask more from a company.

They were respectful of the surrounding landscaping. The techs were very good and were prompt for the appointment. I had done some online research and they seemed to be in the right price range. We had receive one other estimate and comparative with American. We will probably use them to coat the driveway next year.

After reading the reviews in Angie's list we decided to call American, they answered the phone promptly, and came out and left an estimate. The price was reasonable so we decided to use them, they explained what I needed to apply for the permit, I did and it took about a week and a half for Mundelein to have the permit ready. I called them and set an appointment. the crew came out on Monday the 12th and removed the old drive in about 90 minutes, the filled in the base where needed and after the inspector approved the based the crew came out the next day and paved the drive and were done in another 90 minutes! I waited till Saturday to use the drive. I would recommend American Asphalt Maintenance for being fast, and efficient.
