G4U was great! Very prompt in responses to our inquiries, professional and really nice to work with. We had a few complications with our project due to space constraints, as living the city presents, and G4U were helpful and creative in helping us to meet our goals! Thye were tidy in their work, not leaving debris behind and were very aware of safety, even coming out to secure space when we had a family party in the midst of the project (at their own direction, we didn't even have to ask!). We recommend them to anyone looking to build or modify their garage. You can't go wrong working with this team!

Bob who came out to help was terrifically informed and could explain all of the costs and choices separately including things like the tilt of the roof, kinds of doors and windows, widths of car door, etc. Ivona in the office would text us to tell any updates about materials, workmen arriving etc. so we knew who and what to expect when. That was super helpful. They did everything they said they would and it was on time, on budget, and looks great. We opted for a wider and taller car door and a taller wall to the building itself in addition to some decorative windows.

Bob came to our house for a quote, listened to what we wanted and offered his suggestions. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He also gave us a very detailed quote including concrete, different garage door options, security light options, etc. The other companies we called just gave a ballpark estimate over the phone, but he spelled out every detail, which was appreciated. In the end we decided just to make some repairs to our current garage, but if we need to replace it in the future I would definitely give them a call back first.

We are so impressed with this company. Our garage is beautiful. Working with Ricky and Ivona was a real pleasure. Ivona and I were in touch every day to the finish. I never waited around for answers to my questions. The city of Des Plaines inspector also commented on what a beautiful job Garage for you, inc. did. Although a few minor things had to be done on inspection, this company is capable of communicating with the city and the customer.

Very well. The garage turned out as well as we hoped. The salesman was professional, friendly, polite and extremely knowledgeable. The owners and their subcontractors were all very professional and worked very hard to please us. The garage was completed in a timely fashion (weather was problem, not their fault). They were able to customize it with plenty of windows, loft storage and even a yard facing overhead door. The owners delivered as promised! We are VERY proud of our new garage and love showing it off!

The salesperson was on time (great start), he listened to what we wanted and explained how the process works and answered all our questions. The whole team was professional and we were notified when the various workers were do to come in. We would use them again the work was great and being able to get a hold of the contractor when we had questions was key.

We were extremely pleased with the work. Everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned. Bob was informative and up-front with all the options & estimates. Bob, GFY's estimator, looked at the whole building, not just the damaged area, and made some recommendations that repaired the damage and also improved the structure. I appreciated that he talked and listened to me. A couple of other firms barely seemed to look at the building--one was going to drive by! Not good enough when much of the damage was only visible from inside, and my only information about what they were planning was an estimate sheet! After I approved the plan, the owner, Rickie Czapla, came out to plan the job. They started about two weeks later. The job took two or three days to complete. Rickie got his workers started on the first day and showed up periodically to make sure things were going well. Which they were, the guys were hard workers and competent craftsmen. I had asked them to take the locks from the old door for the new one, so we wouldn't have to re-key. There was a bit of trouble with that, but they kept working on it until everything was right. They paid attention to finishing details: caulking seams, sealing the foundation, replacing the gutters, wrapping the new door frame in aluminum trim and also to cleanup. The only place I can fault this company is communication. They didn't start the day they'd planned, and I had to call to find out about it. Generally, I had to make contact or hope for luck. This seems to be a common failing among contractors. The owner of the company that will replace the damaged fence has emailed me two or three times and each time, I'm astonished! Come on guys, call! :-) That issue aside, I was very pleased with the job and should I ever get to build the garage of my dreams, or another neighbor tries to drive through this one, I will call them again.

We gathered multiple bids before selecting Garage 4U. One of the things we liked was that they did all the work themselves - no sub-contractors. The entire process was flawless. The salesperson was accommodating and helpful. They kept us informed every step of the way, providing ample notice before any work started. They always offered to reschedule if the time they requested was inconvenient. Everything was completed on time as promised. They accommodated an elderly woman with grace and kindness. They were helpful without being condescending. Furthermore, we hired an independent inspector to evaluate other properties constructed by Garage 4U. We were told they were all top-notch. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you. We would recommend you to anyone.

I CONTACTED GARAGE FOR YOU IN OCTOBER 2014 TO BUILD AN ADDITION TO MY GARAGE. THE PERMIT WAS OBTAINED AND THE WORK WAS STARTED. IT IS NOW THE MIDDLE OF MAY 2015 AND THIS JOB HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED. FROM THE BEGINNING THE WORK WAS NOT DONE ON A CONSISTENT BASIS, BASICALLY THE WORKERS CAME ONCE OR TWICE PER WEEK. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS I HAVE CALLED AND OR E-MAILED THE OFFICE REGARDING ISSUES WITH THE WORK. THE COMPANY WAS RESPONSIVE HOWEVER THE ISSUES ARE STILL NOT COMPLETELY RESOLVED. THE ADDITION WAS COMPLETED IN DECEMBER 2014, IT TOOK THREE MONTHS. THE FENCE WAS NOT REPLACED PROPERLY. THE FENCE POSTS ARE NOT PROPERLY SET IN THE GROUND CAUSING THE GATE TO LEAN AND TO BE MOVED BACK AND FORTH BY HAND. ALSO THE CONCRETE THAT WAS LAID AROUND THE GARAGE , AND THE NEW APRON WERE POORLY DONE IN THAT IT IS BROKEN AND CRUMBLING AND IT IS GETTING WORSE EVERY DAY. IT NEEDS TO BE RE-DONE. I HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT UP TO THIS POINT, HOWEVER I FEEL AS THOUGH I HAVE RECEIVED UNFAIR SERVICE. I PAID THE BILL IN FULL BEFORE THE WORK WAS COMPLETED BECAUSE I TRUSTED THAT I WOULD BE SATISFIED DUE TO THE REVIEWS THAT I READ ABOUT GARAGE FOR YOU. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE SAME TYPE OF QUALITY WORKMANSHIP THAT THE OTHER CUSTOMERS RECEIVED. THE CONCRETE WAS POORLY DONE AND THE FENCE STILL IS NOT AS IT SHOULD BE. I RECENTLY CONTACTED THE OFFICE AND I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE IT WAS A SMALL JOB SOMEONE WOULD BE OUT IN "2-3 WEEKS". THAT MEANS NEXT MONTH. YES IT MIGHT SEEM LIKE A SMALL JOB, BUT IT IS STILL A JOB WHERE I EXPECT THE SAME SERVICE AS OTHERS. IT WAS ALSO AN EXPENSIVE JOB THAT WAS STARTED 7 MONTHS AGO AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BY NOW. I EXPECTED MUCH BETTER SERVICE AND QUALITY FROM GARAGE FOR YOU AND I MY EXPECTATIONS WERE NOT MET.

Excellent craftsmanship. Addressed minor problems in a very timely manner.

The only glitch was that the work was supposed to be done on a Tuesday morning starting around 8 am. By 10:30 am, no one arrived so I called and found out it was rescheduled. But, the next day, they arrived right on time. The work done was perfect !!! I am pleased. Since I wasn't around when he finished, the owner came out a few days later to go over the installation and explain how it was done, why, and what I should do to maintain it. I am very pleased with the service and support.

They were easy to work with and very responsive. They're were a couple of small issues that needed to be resolved after completion of the garage and they were very good on the followup.

It was a good experience. We have recommend them to neighbors and they had them do their garage also. We did have some weather delays. Any snag we ran into, we would contact the office and everything got taken care of. We were happy with it. The owner came out himself when there was an issue and dealt with it.

Good, Ricky and his crew did an outstanding job. There some issues with communicating but it was more than made up by their craftsmanship.

We wanted to repair the existing garage because it matched the house. After significant investigation we realized the best option was replacement. We received bids from 5 contractors. The bid from Garage For You itemized to a greater degree than the other bidders. All the bidders were close in price and we decided to go with Garage For You. During the process we stayed in contact with Garage For You and the village building inspectors to make sure we addressed any issues that arose before they became problems. The wreckers took down the old garage in 1 1/2 hours, it was a little sad to watch. After the wrecker, the concrete contractor did his job. The concrete sat for about 10 days curing. When the carpenters started their work I was home and was able to watch. This crew was great. They built the structure over 2 days, a Friday and a Saturday. The following week, the siding, electric and soffit work was done. The work continued until done, leaving several village inspections to be done. The village did those promptly and we have our new garage. I recommend Garage For You with no reservations. Their work is of he highest level, the construction is top quality and the communication was always in place to keep us informed or deal with any issues.

These guys were the best on price and the quality turned out excellent. They don't use cheap materials and the craftsmanship was excellent.

With the exception of the roof, my garage was in a very sorry state before they started - "eyesore" is an apt descriptor. I had contemplated demolishing and starting over, but the cost of permits, new concrete, roof, etc. just didn't make sense for a garage. I'm really glad I went with them and remodeled instead of rebuilding. Fair price, friendly, and fast. Can't ask for much more. Definitely recommended.

Called to have installer replace or fix garage door opener. He arrived first thing Monday morning, said he needed a part to complete the job, and would give us his next appointment - probably later that day or tomorrow. No one contacted us until Friday, at which point I had called another company (that did an excellent job).

Everything went extremely well and they surpassed our expectations. Their quality was outstanding and everyone was great to work with. You will not be disappointed if you try their service.
