It worked out OK.

We called Advanced Fence because of the high ratings in Angie's List. We ultimately chose them because of the price. They came in about $400 cheaper than some other reputable companies (which we also liked other than the price). We spoke with Todd who came out within a few days to provide an estimate. Our fence was a step down so the type and height changed periodically within the limited 50 feet, and Todd captured it all to a "T" in his estimate. When we turned in our initial deposit and contract, he called again within a week and set up a time for a visit. Two gentleman came out. They blocked our alley with their truck which wasn't necessary and despite me asking them not too, but it turned out not to be a big deal. They were more or less on time, and finished within the day as anticipated. The fence looked (and smelled) really nice. One problem, however, was that one of the main 4x4 posts that was in cement was clearly cracked significantly at the bottom. I called Todd (which happened to be on a holiday weekend) and explained the situation and sought a remedy before we paid the rest of the contract. He was extremely professional and said he'd send someone out the following work day (after the long weekend) and put in a work order to resolve the matter. Everything was reviewed and fixed without further issue within a week. I realize some people might give a lower score on Angie's List because of this problem, but frankly, we saw the manner in which the company dealt with a problem as a statement to their professionalism. But that is why I gave a slightly lower quality score. Overall though, I think the experience was great and would hire again.

Todd came out quickly and gave an estimate, and gave good recommendations on what we should do for our fence. The guys came out and did a great quick job tearing down the old fence and putting up the new one. After one of the posts started to lean, Todd immediately sent the same guys back out to straighten it, no charge. Our neighbor liked their work and got a gate to match ours.

They were great overall. I have absolutely no complaints. They were prompt with the estimate, timely to start, they finished quickly, and the end product was great. We were very happy with it.

Dave was my initial contact and was extremely professional and responsive. Advanced Fence and Gate was very competitive with another quote, but I chose them because of their response and wanted my business. They scheduled the work within about a week and finished the work in a day. They did use subcontractors, but they did a good job; although, they didn't initially install the pyramid fence caps I had requested to match the existing neighbors fence. They eventually came back to replace the existing caps in about a week. Pretty painless exercise - I would definitely use them again.

They where ok. When I called the staff was professional. They came out to do an estimate. They made a mistake on the height of the fence, but I decided that it was ok. They still have to come out and fix the knob on the latch on the gate. The price was reasonable. I called another company and it was higher priced.

Very well. Todd was very responsive and work was performed according to our schedule needs.

They did a really good job. They had to work in ninety five degree weather and despite the fact they were very polite, very hard working and I was very pleased.

Overall, the project went great. Todd was prompt about scheduling an estimate and showed up right on time. The work performed was good, I had a couple of requests regarding the way the cut the scallop in one portion of the fence and the bottom of one gate and they promptly took care of it. They cleaned up after themselves and caused barely any damage to plantings along fence. They were not as responsive as I would have liked in terms of returning my calls. I called to let them know I wanted to schedule the job, sent in my deposit and did not hear back from them. I called a number of times after my check was sent and then again after they cashed my check but still did not call to schedule the job. When I finally called them back again, they told me they had scheduled the job for later that week. I was less than thrilled that they had not called me with the scheduled date. All that said, the work itself was great, the crew friendly and efficient. A good experience overall. I plan to hire them again to do more work on my fence next year.

Todd Kopke, Rachel in the Advanced Fence office and the installation crew were a pleasure to work with. I made a few minor changes to the design after the initial proposal, all of which were done with no problems. The installers worked quickly and were careful of my new landscaping when finishing off the fence. One section of the fence was built to match my neighbor's existing fence, and the remaining sections match the old fence that was removed, including a tapering of the height from 6' to 4' along one side. I'm very pleased with the fence and gates, and my neighbors were impressed at how well the section along their driveway matches their existing fence. I particularly appreciated that the Advanced Fence team was willing to work around the schedule for my larger landscaping project. They completed 3/4 of the project in 2 days, and then returned a month later to finish off the fence after my patio and landscaping had been installed.

Todd was extremely accessible and very easy to work with. He quickly got back to us with new estimates as we changed our minds on fence style and height. He also put up with numerous delays by our landscapers, resulting in our having to reschedule the start date at least four times. His team was quick and did great work. They placed a post in the wrong spot and were out the next day to correct it. I cannot recommend this firm enough, they were fabulous.

Estimate was very detailed. Installation went smoothly and took a day and a half per Todd's estimate. Gates settled slightly over following weeks and they sent someone out to adjust them. Fence looks great.

They do excellent work. I think they re very quick, responsive, and professional. Their quote for the job was the best one that was given to us from all the companies we checked and they finished rapidly. I would recommend them to anyone.

Todd is a wonderful person to work with and very accommodating. Whenever, I had a question, Todd always returned my calls promptly. The work went smoothly, even when I made last minute changes. The materials and workmanship are wonderful. I would highly recommend this company.

The removal of the existing fence and the installation of the wooden fence went fine. I was very satisfied with the work. The installation of the iron fence, though, was problematic. First, the fence was the wrong height. While the contract says the fence will be ''5' high'' it actually measures 5' 7'' from the ground. I was given a spurious explanation for the discrepancy, but I decided not to make a fuss over 7'' (even though it makes a meaningful difference in how the fence looks). The real problem is the quality of the iron fence panels, which are made by a sub-contractor. They started rusting in numerous places because of poor priming at the workshop, and a welded finial fell off. While Advanced Fence came out to do some touch ups, you can still see rust forming in the interior welds of every single post. Given what happened in the first month, I hate to think what the fence will look like next year. I would recommend this company for wood, but not iron.

The fence is great. The lock stopped working so well. I called and they came and fixed it.

My experience with Advanced Fence was great right from the start. I had previously received 3 estimates from other fence contractors on Angies list and although Advanced Fence had only one review they delivered their estimate the next day as promised and gave me a typed up proposal that included a cad drawing of my property and every detail of their proposed fence. All my other estimates were hand written sloppy with minimal details covered in the estimates. The day of installation Manuel the foreman showed up on time, did a professional installation, and cleaned up my yard better then I had anticipated. I would rehire Advanced Fence again and would recommend using them.

The house we bought a few months ago had an unfenced yard, something we wanted to rectify as soon as possible. We received several estimates, and thought we had decided who we would go with until we met with Todd Kopke of Advanced Fence & Gate. He gave us the most thorough estimate with the most information. He educated us about various qualities of cedar wood, and had samples in his truck to show us. He was very personable and professional. He returned calls very promptly. His installers were also extremely professional, and were always here when they said they would be. The fence looks fantastic. The installers worked quickly but carefully. Their work was very precise. Todd walked through the job with us when the work was complete. I would not hesitate to use Advanced Fence again, and have already recommended them to friends in need of new fencing.
