My experience with Brian and Sons was excellent. On one of the coldest days of the year my furnace stopped working around 5 a.m. I knew my furnace needed to be replaced (due to prior repairs) but was not expecting it to happen so soon. Due to my 1 year old daughter, I was very concerned and started to contact HVAC companies on Angie's list. I called 3 companies and told them my situation and asked how quickly they could have someone come out. Brian and Sons technician Jim made it a priority due to the welfare of my family. Unfortunately, the other 2 companies passed me around their call centers and told me when their "office" person comes in they will contact me (the 2 companies reported having 24 hour service). Long story short, the other companies called me back in the afternoon, by then I already had a new furnace in place. The technician Jim was at my house shortly after I called. He was professional, helpful, personable, and very knowledgeable. Jim and Brian and Sons knew my situation and that I needed heat ASAP. The company allocated the proper personnel (even took employees off jobs that didn't require immediate attention to help me) so they could get my new furnace in. They quoted me a great price (compared to prior quotes I received). The quote and final charge were the same, they didn't charge me any emergency fees (the other companies told me they would). In my opinion, that's the difference from a local family owned business and big companies. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future. Thank you Jim and Brian and Sons for everything you did, it's good to see businesses that have integrity and values.

Excellent! Called the company and within 2 hours there was a tech out at my place! It took about 3 hours to complete. Timely! Didn't charge me for an emergency service. Super nice!

After getting a estimate from another company for a furnace, I was upset about the cost and called a few other companies to get comparisons. I left a message with a few other companies as it was after normal hours, Debbie called me back within the hour. I still haven't heard from one of the other companies. Debbie said she'd be able to come out the next morning to give me an estimate but also gave me a ball park figure that was more reasonable. I did research on the brand they use and it got good reviews so I was very comfortable with that aspect. Debbie arrived in the morning as she said and by early afternoon her installers were on their way to put in our new, energy efficient furnace! Thank you Debbie, Tim and Brandon(?) for your help and professionalism!!!

Exceptional service, as usual. Inspected furnace, noted a motor that needed replacing and called back with estimate to replace/fit it.

Brian came and inspected the HVAC system and suggested for a cleanup. Brian did a great job of cleaning the HVAC system for $99.95. I did not get to use this coupon as it was not a service call.

Ordered the Big Deal coupon thinking that it would cover a furnace inspection to make sure everything is in good shape for the winter. After communicating with the service provider, it was determined that the coupon will not cover the desired service. No appointment was scheduled and no service was performed.

We recently moved into this home in May of 2014 and do not have a history with the HVAC system. I wanted to establish a relationship with a HVAC company for bi-annual maintenance. Brian Jr was very thorough and professional. He told me that it didn't look like the furnace had ever been cleaned and got it looking like new again. He also ran the humidifier, changed out the pad in it, and told me that it was working very well. I purchased the PM contract plan which covers the cost of furnace maintenance in the fall and A/C maintenance in the spring. The cost of the humidifier was included in the contract.

It went great. It was the hottest day of the year and they showed up quickly. Great service.

Because the contractor covered the cost of the duct cleaning, I can't speak to Brian and Sons' price. But I was very impressed with both of the gentlemen who came out to the house. They were both very friendly and professional, explaining what they were doing and why, and they answered all the questions I had. They even went a step above and beyond and helped blow off some drywall dust that had accumulated in some high ceiling light fixtures we wouldn't have been able to reach otherwise -- they did this without being asked, and I appreciated the thoughtfulness. Would definitely hire Brian and Sons in a heartbeat to do this service for us again in the future.

Brian & Sons contacted me within an hour of purchasing the Big Deal to confirm that I had a driveway they could park in. I spoke with Debbie the next day who let me know that they wouldn't be able to provide the service. They were apologetic, and very honest.

I contacted Brian and Sons after a huge hail storm back in May to check out my AC unit because it looked like I set it in the middle of a driving range. After some diagnostic checks and attempting to straighten the coil fins it needed to be replaced. My homeowners insurance picked up the tab on that. While replacing the A coil on top of the furnace the tech discovered at least 4 large cracks in the heat exchanger. Guess it's time for a new furnace as well. I opted for the high efficiency model furnace due to our wonderful winters in this area. The guys had everything done by 3:00pm after getting there with everything at around 10:30am. It's only been 1 day but so far so good. My experience with Brian and Sons has been nothing short if great. Debbie is a pleasure to deal with and her son Brian Jr really seems to know his stuff. They will be my "go to" HVAC people for years to come.

I was able to make an appointment for the next morning, which was fantastic. He looked at my Air Conditioner and identified the problem as a bad hard-start kit. He installed a new one and informed me that other than that, the AC should be fine....unlike the prior service provider from another company. The technician (Jim?) was very informative to let me know what was wrong, and what he had repaired, leaving me the old one also. I was (am) extremely pleased with the service call, and trust Brian and Sons to come out to conduct inspection and cleaning, etc. on my AC and furnace in the future. I purchased a service agreement from them, which was also reasonably priced. Brian and Sons provided what I would consider exceptional (customer) service and am so glad that I found them here on Angie's List. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Our AC went out and we hired Brian & Sons to replace the AC. Since our furnace was 20 years old, Debbie recommended one of the higher efficiency models along with an increase from 3T to 4T furnace. This allowed us to also take advantage of the rebate. Brian and his brothers are "great". They went the extra mile to clean anything that got dirty during the install!!

I was happy with them. The pipe that burst was installed when the house was built in the 1920's. They did a good job. They showed up when they said they would. They showed up quickly when it was important that they be there quickly. The price was not an exorbitant amount. The price was reasonable and I didn't check around.

The two workmen were excellent at their jobs and very personable as well. They covered our floors with tarp before moving in their equipment. They worked room by room removing the vent covers, using their air compressor to blow dust back toward the main heating duct. They welcomed our presence to watch their progress which convinced me they were doing exactly what we'd hired them to do. They kept tack of screws and immediately replaced vent covers as they worked their way around the house. When they reached the whole house cold air vent (a 12 foot run), they discovered significant build-up that required vacuuming before blowing the dust. They vacuumed. Finally, they moved to the furnace duct work where they cut (and later plugged) a less than one inch circle for inserting their "whip". That tool loosened dust covering the inside of the ductwork all along the length of our house. From a second relatively small new opening (also later plugged) their powerful vacuum pulled white clouds of dust. The drywall, taping, sealing, and sanding project that prompted our desire to clean the ducts was completed in January, but this company insisted we wait for a day when the outside temperature was closer to freezing instead of the sub-zero temps we'd had much of January. These workers understandably wanted slightly warmer temps to avoid snapping their machinery's belts. Also because a door had to be open while the compressor and vacuum hoses snaked into the house, I was glad to wait for what almost felt like a heat wave. My allergy symptoms have decreased considerably since this service was performed. I'm am pleased and will hire Brian and Sons when it's time to clean the ductwork again.
