Fair pricing, They came and checked on the furnace, they suggested that we need to replace the furnace, for the inspection they charge a very fair reasonable price, the price for the inspection will be deductible from the furnace installation price.

I have used Brian and Sons for five years now. They have installed new equipment, performed repairs, and PM cleaning/system checks. They are very responsive (Debbie is great) to service calls. They work around my schedule and it is nice that Paul, the technician, is the same tech as last visit. He explains things to me in more detail than probably most customers want to hear (at my request). Just the perils of a DYI, engineer home owner. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

Horrible, Brian and Paul did not read update and tossed Manuel across room, Brian Talked about the candy he liked, claimed he never saw book. The owner, a trained hair dresser, said I should of given the book to her! We never saw proof of insurance all though asked 20-30 times. She said she gave it to an employee. Please confirm NATE certified, insured, bonded, criminal background check, wish we knew we had a sick mab who was giving bad advise. Charges $220! A

They were really good. I thought they were pretty reliable & very informative. They were very good at explaining everything. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves. 3 people came out to do the installation. The furnace, they did in one day and they had to get back in the Spring to finish firing up the air conditioner.

Very well. We've had a service contract for several years so are priority customers. Jim determined that the furnace was not going to restart without expensive replacement parts. Debbie in the office explained about the 4 different rebates available, the 10 year parts and labor guarantees, the price, and the emergency install schedule. Hugo and his team did a wonderfully efficient and professional installation.

It was pretty good. They gave a couple of prices because the whole unit needed to be replaced for the Organization that I volunteer for. They chose to go with somebody else that provided a better price and warranty for the heating unit. They said the unit needed to be replaced and the decision was made by the Organization that they wanted to go with somebody else that was providing a better price and warranty and so they went with them. There was no problem with their service and diagnosed perfectly. They came on time and looked on it. They told me that they will come on time and they did. They also called again to make sure that they were coming. I didn't see them but I didn't her any complaints.

They performed manintenance on the unit that resolved the issue.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Brian and Sons. We had a very small, custom piece of duct work that I needed to get constructed for a remodeling project that we have going on. They responded to my Angie's List message the same night I put the request in, set up an appointment for 2 days later, and Jim came out and did this small job of building the ductwork cheerfully and quickly and very economically. I have yet to hear back from any of other HVAC or sheet metal contractors I contacted through Angies list. I really appreciate their responsiveness on such a small job. You can be sure I will consider Brian and Sons for any future HVAC work I might have.

Initial call to Brian and Sons was on a Sunday about 1:00 in the afternoon. Technician called and said he'd be to my house within an hour or so. Showed up within the time frame. Did a full inspection of the furnace which uncovered cracks in the heat exchanger. While waiting for Debbie, the owner, to come over, the technician took all measurements needed to size the replacement furnace. They came back on Monday with a new furnace, took out the old, hauled it away, and installed the new one. They were here when they said they would be, and worked diligently to get the new furnace installed, and heat back on. The installers, were neat, and friendly, Overall a good experience

.My original furnace met its maker. I scheduled an inspection using a coupon from Angie's List. It turned out, repairs would have been as costly as a new inefficient, but similarly inefficient to my existing furnace, model. They left some literature so I could take some time to swoon and compare the Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear units. I did some research, made some comparisons and two days after signing the contract had my new furnace installed. They were great

Brian was very prompt, professional and friendly. Immediately identified the problem.

Jim came out and performed a diagnostic check of our 30 year old furnace. I had an AL coupon for the service. Jim was punctual, professional and explained in detail what was going on. I hope to purchase a new furnace from them asap.

The technician arrived on time, did an honest and complete job on the furnace. I was a little leery, however, when it came to the humidifier. When I asked about replacing it, he said he'd definitely recommend a new one. First he quoted me $500.00 for installation, but when we came upstairs from the basement, he went out to his van for a few minutes to check on some things, and when he came back, he quoted me $600.00 instead. $600.00 sounded somewhat high to me, so I declined on getting the humidifier replaced. A couple other things concerned me. 1) He gave me a spiel about getting the A/C cleaned and checked 'because if it broke down and they had to come out for a service call, it would cost me a lot more money'. I kind of sensed this to be a scare tactic and I declined to schedule any further services. 2) He was in a hurry to leave as he was quickly explaining the invoice to me and the work that had been done. There was an issue that he wrote on the invoice that he neglected to speak to me about in person. When I brought it up to him, he said he needed to get to his next job, and he gave me a very quick, vague explanation. Overall, I'd say he didn't give very good explanations of the work done and the furnace's overall condition. I wouldn't say he was at all bad, but I felt his explanations were just mediocre. I ended up finding another HVAC company to install a new humidifier for $525.00, who took their time with things and explained everything very thoroughly. I wouldn't say Brian and Sons was a bad company. I'd just say they were okay. I found another company that was better.

The provider provided a quote for a replacement system. We opted to get a second opinion (as we tend to for larger jobs) and found another provider who independently identified the same issues, but offered a better quality replacement for a lesser price. We went with the second provider, but I'm certain we would have been satisfied with work done by Brian & Sons.

Customer Service is hands down the best of all the companies I called to get estimates from. Called in the morning to get an estimate and Debbie was able to come out later that day. They showed up on time and didn't reschedule which other contractors were guilty of. Price was very competitive. After a few days, she called me back to see if I had any questions. None of the other contractors called back. As my townhome was right on the bubble of a 2.5 ton or 3 ton a/c, i had called to tell her I was looking at getting a 3 ton and she upgraded my equipment from the 2.5 ton from the estimate to the 3 ton free of any up charge. She also honored a coupon that was meant to expire but was still showing up on Angie's list. I am very satisfied with the value I got with Brian and Sons. Installation was completed in 5 hours. After using the air conditioning for a week, the equipment seems to be working effectively. I do have some constructive criticism for the installers: first, I was reading how important it is for the air conditioning unit to be sitting level. I would expect that an actual level be used rather than by eyeballing it. I do not know if it is necessary or if other contractors would do this. Also, the thermostat was installed crooked, again I would expect them to level this properly as now I have to take it off and level it myself. Other than that, the install was completed professionally, looks clean, great sheet metal work to cover up old removed humidifier, and the guys were honest and easy to work with. I will continue to use Brian and Sons for my maintenance and service calls.

They were highly professional during the entire process. Debby did a great job with the sales side and was easy to work with. She followed up well and was always curteous. All of their employees are friendly with a smile on their face on top of being competent. They are punctual and thorough. I plan on working with them on the maintenance of my system in the years ahead and would reommend them highly. I had several quotes and let me save you the time/energy...just hire them!!

Well the way my furnace was set up, the humidifier would not work out. The second time I received prompt service. The service technician Jim let me know his ETA. He is knowledgable and knew what he was doing. Got the heat up & running again. Gave me some do's and don'ts with the furnace. Will use them again. They follow up with their customers and send thank you cards for giving them our business. That was an awesome surprise!

I purchased "The Deal" from Angies List because it came with a 30 day refund if I changed my mind. I had already had 2 other quotes from local furnace guys that were quite a bit more money so I was a little skeptical...I didn't want to get into this and find out that I needed to pay a lot more money besides the 1500.00 deal that I had already purchased. I emailed Brian and Sons and said that I wanted to set up a time for them to come out and give me a firm price so that I knew exactly what the "out the door" cost would be...no surprises. They called me right away, we discussed my project and we decided that I could just send them some pictures of my current furnace to see if there would be any additional money needed to install the new furnace. About 15 minutes after I sent the pictures, they called me back and said that I would need about 160.00 in sheet metal work to complete the project. I agreed to that and we set up the install date. I had to change the date once and then also change the time but it was all handled professionally and courteously by the staff of Brian and Sons. On the day of install, the guys came within the appointed time frame and 2 hours later I had a new furnace. They had a little trouble getting my old furnace out because I have a very small "utility closet" in my townhome but out it came. The guys did a lot of cleaning within the air conditioner coils, did the sheet metal work and the new, smaller unit was installed. They were very professional, explained everything to me about the operation of the new furnace and advised me on what type of filters I should purchase. They were also very good about cleaning up and disposing of my old furnace. All in all, I was very pleased with the ease of purchasing my new furnace, scheduling the installation, the quality of the furnace, the installation of the unit and of course the price! I will be sharing my positive experience with my townhome neighbors who will ,in all likelihood , be needing to replace their 24 year old furnaces very soon. .

It worked out well! They replaced a part in the furnace. We were comfortable with the pricing for the part and they did well!
