I called them on a Thursday and asked if they would be able to bring and install a garage door opener the next day when I would be in town at my sister-in-laws house ( I live in another state). Beverly was able to get the opener I wanted and come out the next afternoon. They were polite and professional and worked quickly taking about an hour to install the opener, adjust the springs, and lubricate the garage door. John took his time demonstrating how to set and operate the high end unit with wi-fi capability and programmable options. He was patient did not hurry my sister-in-law, who is very "technically challenged", at all. Everything worked and continues to work great. I would definitely recommend them for garage door and opener needs in the Chicago area.

+ -1 moreThe crew arrived as scheduled, completely removed the existing door and hardware, and replaced the two-car door with all new hardware. They hauled away the old door and hardware and left the area spotless. Their work was exceptionally professional, the new door is beautiful, and we couldn't be more pleased. Although we don't expect to need their services again any time soon, we would recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Our existing garage door was failing. Their crew came to the house and made a temporary repair, free of charge, so we could use the door until the new one could be installed. We ordered a new door and scheduled the installation while the crew was there.

+ -1 moreThat was about two, three years ago, like when we had one of the investment properties and we wanted to check the garage door out to make sure it was functional. We wanted to make sure the door was working properly before the tenant moved in. They came right away and when they said they would come. There was one guy. I’d seen him before. He did both investment properties. He was there less than an hour. I can’t give you the exact time. I’d say it was between 45 minutes to an hour.
Description of Work: They did garage door maintenance, a check of the door to make sure it was working properly.

+ -1 moreI had previously gotten an estimate of $850, which I thought sounded way too high. I contacted Beverly Garage Doors and Jim, the proprietor quickly came out and measured and told me that a new door with installation, reinforcement and replacement of the door frame would cost $375 total! He told me to look at the doors on Menards.com to see the selection of doors and pick the kind I liked. (I could also see how much doors cost, as well.) I was able to get a timely appointment for installation. Jim and his worker were on time, installed the door, showed me how the locks worked and cleaned up behind themselves. He also gave me an estimate on my larger garage door, which he noticed was broken, He gave me three prices - one to fix it, one to replace it and one to replace and motorize it and they all seemed extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: I needed a new garage entry door and repair of the door frame. (smaller side door.)

+ -1 moreIt is now been 10 months since they serviced my garage doors. Both doors operate smoothly now and the doors sit flush to the floor surface once closed. They operated much quieter at first, but recently I hear squeaking in the wheels as the door closes. The doors have closed every time but once without fail - perhaps it jammed in the track upon closing. Otherwise, I am pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Fixed 2 garage doors: - Replaced 2 broken tension springs - replaced cable pulleys with larger diameter ones. - Relocated door tracks to be equidistant (parallel) with each other These garage door components are from the original construction of the house (c.1978). He not only replaced the broken spring, he inspected the other spring, determined that it too was wearing, and replaced that one and oiled the door hinges as well. He was finished in less than an hour and my mom was so happy she didn't even use the coupon that I gave her. By the way, she also received a new garage door opener. Thank you Jim and Beverly Garage Doors!!

Description of Work: Automatic garage door opener wouldn't open or close. It was a very old unit (over 30 years), so I assumed it would need replacing, not just repair. BGD said they'd be here at noon today, and they called at 5 minutes before noon to say they were at my garage door in the alley!
