Our well pump broke at the end of last Sept. and I called Adam. He came out right away and inspected the system and informed me that I need to contact another contractor to get the pump replaced. While he was here, he replaced the filters used in the reverse osmosis system and took time to show me how the system works. Adam is friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I will definitely recommend him to my family, friends, and neighbors.

I was searching for a new company to service my Ionics Water Conditioning system. I left a message and Adam promptly returned my call. Unfortunately, I did not live in his coverage area. However, based on the conversation that I had with Adam, I would recommend him to those who do live in the area that he covers.

I sent Adam an email over a weekend, asking him to contact me with a quote for a new softener. He called first thing Monday morning; came out to our home later that morning, and had his installer come out early that afternoon. The new softener was installed by mid-afternoon, and has been working flawlessly ever since. Adam is clearly a pro when it comes to softeners. He knew exactly what the problems were with our old -- very old -- unit. He offered to repair it, but recommended a new unit as a better value long term. His installer, Jason, is a highly skilled plumber. Jason removed the old unit quickly, installed the new softener, connected new copper pipes to the water service, and took the old unit away. I would highly recommend Adam and Jason to anyone who is in need of a new or replacement water softener. Both are highly knowledgeable, pleasant to work with, and scrupulously honest.

Adam Gagen immediately called to ask about our water softener problems, which was leaking around the water valves. Our water treatment softener was installed in 2002 and I was convinced that a new one was needed. Adam said that he would evaluate the water softener during his visit and let me know if just a repair might solve my problem rather than spending the extra money for a replacement. Adam gave me a two hour window for his visit of 2pm to 4pm. He was very prompt and arrived at 2:15. Adam was very friendly and courteous and immediately looked at our water softener. He told us the water softener was still in excellent condition and probably good for another 6 years. The valves were leaking and he was able to repair the problem and also replaced the outgoing drain that was also leaking. Adam was very thorough in his examination and very professional. We never felt that he was trying to sell us anything that was not needed. We were babysitting our grandchildren at the time and they were very curious to watch Adam. He made a wonderful effort to show them what he was doing and was happy to keep them entertained as he worked. Adam was very neat and cleaned up the area after he completed his work. Overall, Adam was excellent. His prices are vey reasonable and he does not overcharge or seek to do work that is not needed. We would hire him again and highly recommend his services.

They were very honest, professional, & knowledgeable. The came out right away and completed job in a timely manner. They even came out an additional two times to answer questions & concerns we had. I would definitely recommend them.

Adam came to our house on Friday to see what we needed, and our new water softener system was installed on Monday. Adam was very friendly and professional. He tested out water to determine what we needed, and didn't try to sell us equipment that we didn't need. We thought we might need a water filter because we have well water, but Adam told us that the charcoal filtration that we already had was fine. He even offered to call us to schedule maintenance on both the new system and the charcoal filtration. Since we had recently been sold a lot of expensive equipment that we didn't need for another project, we were skeptical about getting into another purchase. Adam was a breath of fresh air. He is for sure our new water treatment person.

I own a box-store water softener that was only two years old and had just quit softening the water. Since I am on a private well Adam explained that the water softener I owned was not exactly the best for my situation. It actually was the second replacement in four years. The size was sufficient but the actual design was not best for a private well. Adam came out and inspected my softener and after moving it through the separate stages he explained that it appears that the hose is not draining properly. When he removed it he noticed that the hose was clogged and he cleaned it in seconds flat. All was well now and he said no point in spending money on a new one when this may work for a few years to come. Now, I was prepared for the worst and expected that I would probably have to buy a new one but thanks to Adam's honesty and good work we've saved ourselves some money, for a while anyway.

We just purchased a home and needed a water softener rigth away. Adam came out promptly to assess the situation. He provided very good information abou tthe softener and options. He also provided input on items that were not even related to the job. Installation happened promptly 4 days later. No problems. Great job!

Adam came for the consultation and explained where the softener would go and then his partner arrived a few days later with the softener and it was installed and running in no time. Everything went very well. Adam came & looked over our system. He told us what he did not do (general plumbing , well treatment. After telling us we had a well problem that needed to be fixed first, he refered us to a well person Peter Shelton & sob (Also on Angie's list) & talked to the well people after my husband called to give them an idea of what our problem was.After the well people came & fixed the well he came back with a helper & installed a softener wwhich was of much better quality than the big box store one my husband had installed himself 12 years ago. Adam was very professional & knowledgeable. He made getting done what needed to be done a smooth seamless process.

We have recently purchased a new home that has a well. Unfortunately, the well water has an unpleasantly strong sulfur smell. Adam was wonderful and patient. He explained how all the systems worked that came with the house and then gave us his recommendation. We agreed to have him install a chlorination system which has solved the odor problem. He couldn't have been nicer and we will not hesitate to refer his services in the future.

Adam and Jason came out to look over the job and indicated that on of them would be doing the actual work. Jason came back the next week, did a very tidy install, and then explained how the new softener worked.

Adam's Water Treatment did a great job with installing a water softener system. Adam was nice and knowledgeable, and I appreciated that he took the time to explain what everything was and its purpose. After I called him, he was able to come out and test our water within a couple of days, and he was able to install the new system within a week. I would definitely recommend!

Very highly recommended. My some 30-year old softener developed a leak and replacement parts were not available. Besides, after 30 years, time for a new one. Adam and his partner came out a day or two after I called. I had read AL reviews. They were impressive and the main reason I called Adam. Those reviews are spot on. Adam is friendly, personable and very likable. More importantly, he is courteous, professional and knowledgable. I gave him the ok on the spot. He was able to arrange replacement the next business day (or maybe the day after). Not an issue since my old unit was on bypass to stop the leak but it was nice to look forward to soft water again. Adam's partner Jason came to do the installation and it went without a hitch. It would have been a solo job but he called Adam to help him haul my old, brine tank full of caked salt out of the basement. Took away all the old equipment and left my place clean. BTW, another company that I called for an estimate recommended a softener priced 40% higher. When I asked them if there was a lower cost option, they said they could install a different unit that was still 10% higher than Adam's price. I also have a (12-year old) filter unit incorporated into my water system. That other company said it should be replaced. Adam said it still should have a few years left. Further, Adam said I could just replace the filtering agent contents [may not be describing that correctly] and not the whole unit which would cost about one-third of a full replacement.

After reading the great reviews about Adam's Water Treatment here on Angie's List, I decided to give Adam a call. From the start Adam was very nice and was able to arrive for an estimate the following day. Before we talked about any new equipment, Adam explained all of my current interworking of the existing equipment at my new house and tested the water. He then proceeded to talk about ways to purify my water and suggested equipment to reach my goal. Again, Adam was great, no pressure and no sales pitch. We decided to purchase a new water softener and water filter to treat our well water even though Adam indicated that our existing 16 year old water softener may work a bit longer. Thank you Adam....we are very happy with the service you provided and the new water treatment system.

My water softener was not working and he came out and explained that a knob was turned off. He asked about the water usage in my house and reset the salt usage for me then explained that the unit was old but was still functioning from what he could tell. He asked me to watch it and let him know if it stopped working. He would not let me pay him for his time, even after I offered. Later in the day, I realized the softener was still running. I called him and he answered the phone. I asked him if this was normal and he said no it should have shut off. Even though it was Saturday, he came back out within the hour and placed a new timer on the unit. So, instead of suggesting we replace it for over a thousand dollars, he put on a new timer for $200 and it is running well.

Adam came on one hour notice and did a great job! We had water on the floor in our utility room from a malfunctioning water softener. Adam took care of the problem quickly and at a fair price. Will definitely use in the future!

We called Adam out to inspect our water softening system as we noticed a significant change in the quality of our water during showers and laundry. Adam was polite, punctual, and very friendly as always!! He immediately recognized the cause of the issue and was able to repair quickly. He also performed a cleaning and thorough inspection of the overall system at the same time. In addition, he noticed our Well pressurization system was malfunctioning causing our well pump to overwork itself. He brought this to our attention and recommended we have the "bladder" of the system re-inflated to prolong the life of our well pump. This could potentially save us hundreds of dollars and a lot of time and frustration. Adam's customer service and focus on customer satisfaction is second to none! Thanks Adam for all your help!

We've had a couple of other water companies come by over the past couple of yrs, and Adam has been, by far, the most thorough in explaining how everything is connected and how they function. He was very straightforward in describing what annual maintenance is required (along w/ cost) and what minimal water tests are recommended by the EPA. He was also the first to explain thoroughly the water pipeline from where it enters the house from well to the carbon filter(s) and water softener. He was even able to explain to me the likely history of the different carbon filters that I had in our ultility room and when they were installed. He explained that I had a centaur carbon filter (none of my prior water svc guys have explained the difference btwn this vs. a non-centaur carbon filter) that was unhooked, and that our prior water svc people had opted to install a new smaller capacity carbon filter (and incorrectly before the water softener rather than after) rather than to salvage the centaur carbon filter which would have probably served the size of our home better and have been a cheaper option. In any case, he further explained how all the timers work on the water softerner and carbon filter and even marked up some reminder notes on the filter tank with a Sharpie to help remind me. He is the FIRST water svc technician that did NOT try to push the sale of a new carbon filter. BOTH of the prior companies (one of them being Angel and the other is out of business) made it their mission to push new equipment, it seemed. He further inspected a few of our toilet wells to check for signs of iron bacteria and recommended that we chlorinate our well every year to prevent iron bacteria accumulation. Overall it was a pleasant experience and very informative. If you're tired of pushy water svc guys, then you may find Adam's approach to the business pretty refreshing.
