Employees at The Great Escape are not at all helpful. They rarely acknowledge the presence of customers, when asked for help they act as if the customer is an imposition. I have purchased only pool and spa chemicals there, but won't do that again.

They didn't stand behind their product. We were furious they wouldn't take them back.
Description of Work: We bought two outdoor Christmas trees. They were in pots. We put them on both sides of our garage as decorations. Within weeks the trees fell apart. We wanted to take it back as a return or a defective product. They sold us indoor trees when we had asked for outdoor trees. They refused to stand behind their products.

Next tub will be purchased at store with in house service
Description of Work: I called the store on Wed. the 1st to get my hot tub repaired it had blown the breaker and shut down the woman at the store said she would e-mail the service tech the he would be calling me and in her own words said "maybe in a few days" I didn't fell real good about that comment!!! Didn't here from him so I called on Friday she said she would e-mail him again. I decided at that time I would just have to fix it myself I diagnosed it on Saturday and ordered the parts needed on e-bay. Brian the tech did finally call me on Monday the 6th. Overall I'm not real happy with the stores system for service they were more than happy to sell me the $8,000 tub. I'm just thankful I can do the repairs myself or else you will be waiting, a phone call would be nice I'm busy too thats why I called to have somebody else do the repairs. Next tub will be purchased at some other store.

It went very well. The technician, Brian, was very helpful, personable, and answered all of my questions. Reassured me of concerns that I had and confirmed that everything was working properly. Gave me some good advice about what chemicals to use and what not to bother with. Everything is now operating properly and I feel good about the visit.
Description of Work: Spa check-up. Spa had not been filled or running in over 6 years. I had seen an error message on the panel and a light that was on constantly, which should not have been on, so I wanted it checked out. Plus I just wanted some overall advice from an expert on general care for my hot tub.

The sales staff was very, very good but the installers were not as helpful. They did not clean up after themselves and they rushed through the instructions. I would probably use them again if I needed to.
Description of Work: The Great Escape installed our half in-ground/ half above-ground pool.

They have a receptionist that in my opinion does not belong in that job. The receptionist did not do what she said she would do regarding placing my service call and simply proceeded to just blow me off and gave me the impression I don't care what your problem is go away. So far still no service.
Description of Work: Called for service on a 2008 Sundance Cameo hot tub. Receptionist blew me off did not want to hear my problem said she would put service ticket in computer when the computers were back up. Told me to order parts from manufacturer. Called manufacturer (Sundane Spas Inc.and they told me only dealer can order parts. 6/12/2011 stopped in store to pick up a filter for spa spoke with manager (Michael Cortino). He found that the receptionst did not call the technician nor put my service call in the computer. i watched him put the service call in. He said if the tech does not call in 2 days I was to call him back. 6/14/2011 no call from tech called manager and manager gave me the tech's phone number and I called the tech directly and left a message. That night I recieved a call from the techs mother and I called her back and she said the tech would call me by 9:00 pm. 6/16/2011 no call from tech called the manager but the manager was off. Ask to speak to whoever was in charge and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Receptionist came back on line and told me she would have the person call me back I said no because i don't believe he would call me back. She was very condescending and wanted me to get off the phone and said you will be waiting a long time and i said I have been waiting for weeks anyway I will hold. She started arguing with me and I said give them a message I am going to file a complaint and she said I won't do that and I hung up on her and filed this complaint.
