They did quite a bit of work. They trimmed one main tree in the front; one main tree in the back, reshaped my evergreens capped them off and reshaped my crabapple tree. They disposed everything, shred it all the way, wrecked up the yard. When I came home it was done and beautiful. They did exactly what I had asked. So I am very pleased. In the matter of fact I would be calling them to do some more work for me. Everything was excellent from start to the finish. They sent me a proposal, they had me look over everything if there was anything that I didn’t want to do I notified them and at that time I was also working. So they worked well with me as I wasn’t really here and available. They gave information on everything.

They were very good. We had a tree that had fell down after a storm and landed on our neighbor’s garage roof. We were anxious to get it taken care of right away to stay in good relations with our neighbor. They came out right away and gave us an estimate. They were very careful when they went onto our neighbor’s property to remove the tree limb without doing any additional damage.

They seemed very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. Their bid was a little higher than the people I've hired to do the work. If their bid had been lower I would have used them.

They did a great job and they cleaned up after themselves and we were very happy with them. We will continue to use them in the future.

The Care of Trees did a great job under tough circumstances. I had an ailing 70 foot hackberry in my back yard that towered over our wood-shingled roof, with some limbs just a few feet above the chimney and roof. Removal was a difficult challenge because it was in our back yard where there was no possibility of bringing in the cherry picker or other heavy equipment. The tree had to be climbed and cut with a chainsaw, with the limbs lowered by rope. The possibility of roof damage from a limb striking the roof during removal gave me the shivers, but it never happened - the crew made it look easy. They also did an excellent job of protecting my house and property, something that was vital for me. They used plywood to protect my fence, gate, and the brick pavers they walked over. They protected emerging flowers by covering them with plastic cones or temporarily transplanting some of the smaller flowers during the tree removal. I was impressed. Another tree service that provided a quote had warned me that the surrounding areas would take a beating and that was that. Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly, from Art the arborist to Charles, Bryan, and the other guys on the crew. The morning of the job, the crew came to the door and introduced themselves and asked if I had any questions. They explained what they were doing as I watched them do it and were good at making me feel comfortable with what they were doing. The clean-up was good and our property was left very tidy. They also removed a second tree and trimmed two other trees, but my comments concern the tough challenge of the hackberry. Price-wise, their quote was nearly identical to the other service that quoted the job. Tree service has been mostly a trail of tears for me over the years. I hate paying for advice, but I joined Angie's List just to get a recommendation in this category. Based on my experience with The Care of Trees, I feel that the entire annual Angie's subscription cost has been justified. I recommend The Care of Trees without qualification.

The two man team who trimmed our backyard tree were extremely courteous and professional. Explained everything they would do and answered my questions completely. Were right on time and finished the job in less time than estimated! There are power, cable and phone lines where the branches could fall and I don't think they touched any of those wires. They cleaned up very well even chipped a pile of branches I had - without my asking- which was great! Would use again and highly recommend others to use them.

I was pretty unhappy honestly. I sent them a signed contract back in the beginning of the summer (June). And, I didn't here anything from them for two and a half months. Then they called me two days before they wanted to come out. It was so long after I signed the contract. Then when they did come they took stuff away first and cut off some more of the tree. Then they came back and did the stump removal. They left a lot of roots around the tree, which were around the ground. I had to call them back out again to remove that. I will give them credit for coming back and making sure it was done right. But, it did take a long time. They had a coupon from Angie's List that they listed and they didn't honor that when they asked me to pay. I thought that was pretty disappointing that they didn't honor the coupon. They said for the work they did I actually got a really good price, so they couldn't do that coupon. It was pretty unprofessional for them not to honor the coupon but they did make sure everything was done right in the end.

I first contacted them in the summer and received the estimate promptly. I did request to meet up with a representative to go over the work that will be done to make sure it is what I wanted done. I have no experience in trees and landscaping. I'm not familair with names of trees or plants, and work associated it. And, I was concern because I was about to spend a lot of money. They were unable to meet me prior to work done. Summer is very busy for them. Their estimate was accurate. They did a good job and cleaned up afterwards well. I did recommend them to my neighboor.

They charged $600 for three visits. They just came and did the work and didn't set up an appointment. I would use them again.

I don’t remember how much I spent on the service. I thought their prices were very fair for what they did. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

As described above. However, although we had agreed that the stump would not be removed (ground down), I had supposed that the crew would treat it with a chemical to prevent regrowth. The proposal did not include any statement about it, but I thought we had talked about it. The final removal of the base of the larger trunk ran into difficulties. I watched the crew make two attempts, replacing a blade or something in the power saw after the first attempt. They told me before they left that they thought the stump had grown around a steel fence post or something of that kind, and that they could not complete the removal flat to the ground. The tree was actually on my neighbor's side of the property line, and I had talked with him and obtained written permission to remove the tree before work began. In a few days after the crew left, my neighbor and another man attacked the stump with wedges and a sledge hammer, and completed the cut, finding not a metal pole but a concrete block embedded in it. I also learned from Richardt that they do not do the chemical treatment that's necessary to keep the tree from regrowing, he said because of the hazard of such chemicals damaging other vegetation. When I investigated what I need to do, I found that the chemicals should be applied immediately after the cut, so that I should have been warned and advised to have the treatment ready on the day of the removal. It appears to me that The Care of Trees should have told me this in advance so that I could have been ready. I doubt that other homeowners are any more educated than I was about this treatment. I now have to locate a source, determine the quantity of the chemical I need, purchase the chemical, and arrange for help in both making a new cut and applying the treatment.

They were very good. They did a really good job of climbing up in the tree and cutting branches down; a lot of other people just kind of reach up into the trees only as far as they can and do not climb the trees. They ground out the stumps as they said they would. They had an arborist come out, inspect each of the trees and recommend a particular plan for each one. I got the immediate stuff done first, but I also have recommendations on what to do next year. I would use them again in the future.

They were very good. They really are tree arborists and so they know about trees. I think they’re best used if somebody wants to save a tree on their property. They were very good at this other work but I think that they are very knowledgeable. They are pretty pricey. I will use their services again in the future.

They did exactly what we talked about, I would recommend being home when the trees are being trimmed.

I spent $150 on that work. They have a very good reputation and we sometimes use them for things.

Had dying branches on old spruce trees. Arborist Bill Mareno diagnosed problem as canker. Old limbs were trimmed out; and an application of organic fertilizer is applied 3-4 times per year. I am completely satisfed with Bill's knowledge and service.

I spent about $300 on that service. That job went fine. It was good. They also sprayed a magnolia tree in the front because it has magnolia scale and they cured it. I think that there are more expensive. They come when they feel like it.

I have had no problems with any of my trees from these high wind storms when everyone else in the neighborhood had branches down and I had none. It’s been a good experience and I have had some really good work done from him. They are very accommodating as well. They come recommended highly from other companies.

The service was exactly how it was described at the time of the estimate. We requested B. Haney & Sons call before they arrive. They called before arriving. They were prompt and professional. The tree is showing improvement. We would use their service again.

The Arborist, Dan Richardt was punctual , knowledgeable, and very professional during the estimate meeting. That same day he emailed me the proposal and approximately two weeks later they performed the job. I had a tree removed from my backyard with no stump grinding and another tree pruned and branches removed from my front yard. All branches and debris were removed from my property and hauled away with no problems or damage to surrounding landscaping. The company honored my 10% Angie's List coupon. The price was a little high compared to another tree company in the area, but I went with this company due to the good reputation. I will more than likely contract this company again.

B. Haney came out and provided a written estimate for suggested work to either try saving the tree or what it would cost to cut it down. My husband was able to speak by phone with the arborist (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) a few days later by phone to ask more specific questions. He was very knowledgable and helpful. Since there is some evidence of borer damage, but not specifically the scourge of the Emerald Ash Borer, we have decided to continue trying to treat it ourselves. We appreciated that the arborist did not use any high pressue sales/scare tactics with us and just told us his experienced opinion. We would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

I spent about $2000 on the job. They took half a day to do the job. They had to clean it up. They trimmed huge trees that were really old. I will use them again in the future.

They are responsive and call you back when you call them. Their prices are competitive. I give them the highest ratings on all counts and will use their services again in the future.
