I live in an area of the village that gets flooding when we get heavy rains, & we've had plenty of those so far this year. Ants love mulch to build their homes in but when the mulch gets flooded out, they tend to want to come inside the buildings where it's dry. My own landscaping is crushed stones, but both neighbors on either side of me absolutely love mulch, so with all the heavy rain this year, I had begun to see ants here & there, coming into my house. The technician that came out was very polite, very professional, went around the outside of my house & garage very thoroughly. He even sprayed & knocked down a wasp nest I had up by my gutters that I hadn't noticed was there. He came on time, which was a plus. It's guaranteed for 30 days, but hopefully I won't have to repeat it. It seemed like he did a very thorough job. I would give him an A+.

I haven't seeing insects close to the house so far.

My first experience with Rose Pest Solutions went great! I bought the $500 coupon for a full year of service and called them in a panic because I was about to move in and had just learned there were mice in the house. I felt an urgent need to have an expert come inspect before I moved in my furniture. The customer service agent who answered my call was professional and very understanding. She was able to have someone to my home in about 24 hours, on a Saturday. It was perfect! My expert was on time, explained to me thoroughly what he was going to do, what he assessed after the inspection, etc. He made suggestions on things I could do, too, to assist in keeping pests away (i.e. replace weather stripping on doors). He was friendly, sharp, and professional. Since Rose Pest Solutions came to the house, I've not had any problems. I highly recommend Rose Pest Solutions!

My tenant called me to say that she had bed bugs in one of her bedrooms and texted me photos of the bugs on her mattress. I called the company and they said they would have to send out a technician to do an inspection of the apartment at no charge. As a property manager I have had to deal with bed bugs over the years so I knew it was bed bugs and I didn't need to have an inspection done. They agreed to just come out and treat the apartment and said their fee was $350.00 for EACH room - whether or not that room had bed bugs. That would have cost me $2,100.00. I thought that price was outrageous and asked to speak with the manager. The manager, Harry (spelling?), said that was their usual price but agreed to charge me $750.00 for the entire apartment which included the initial treatment and two follow up visits. When the exterminator came out he found bed bugs only in one bedroom. I've used Rose Pest Solutions many times in the past seven or eight years for infestations involving mice and ants. They respond right away to my calls and always take care of any infestations. However I don't think it was fair to have had to negotiate a better price with their manager to treat bed bugs. They charged me $2,875.00 in 2010 to treat one of my six flat buildings. There were three two bedroom apartments that had bedbugs in the bedrooms and living rooms. They also inspected another three apartments and the basement. They came out three times and when one of the apartments still had bedbugs two months later they came out and treated his apartment again another three times at no additional charge. Charging $350.00 a room is taking advantage of people. It isn't necessary to pay that much. Three other exterminators that I called on Angie's List said that they charged a flat rate to inspect the apartment and treat it for bed bugs. One quoted me a price of $675.00, another $815.00 and another quoted a price of $850.00 (some of them also included steam cleaning the baseboards which Rose didn't mention to me). These other companies also include a 60 day guarantee even if it involves multiple visits. Rose Pest said they would provide three visits total: an initial visit, a follow up visit two weeks later and another follow up visit two weeks after that. If I still had a problem after that I would have to pay for another treatment or try to negotiate a price. I think they should offer a 60 day guarantee even if they have to come out three or four times. I appreciate that they sent out a technician right away after I called. They eliminated all the bed bugs (I called a bed bug detection canine company to come out and do an inspection and they confirmed it). I will continue to use their services because they are reliable and their techs are knowledgeable and helpful and I think their fees to eliminate mice or ants are reasonable. However the price they initially quoted to me to exterminate bed bugs was absolutely out of line.

I was unimpressed. They came out a couple of weeks after I purchased the big deal. I did not pay anything additional. It was difficult to understand what I had purchased. I had to keep calling for more treatments as it was for 5 treatments. Nothing was professionally organized. It was predetermined not to do it around when it rains.

I had called them on Monday and like somebody else the day before and they said they couldn't get in. They said they could come in after a week and I couldn't wait that long. It was one of those best deal things, it was okay. They didn't come, I cancelled it. They were probably very busy and the person talking to me seemed to be very concerned about my problem.

It went great. I didn't follow him around everywhere, but I did hang around him part of the time to ask questions and see what all he sprayed. He was very conversational and friendly. After a couple days, the little black bugs I was getting in the house seemed to be gone.

The service went very well, the installer called me after spraying the outside of the house to let me know in deal what he did. They even went out of their way to spray for bees on my shutters upstairs and down.

The actual service was performed well. The technician was pleasant and efficient. He performed the necessary service and explained what he had done and set our expectation level as far as treatment. We did have an issue scheduling the service. We purchased the treatment and received an email that we would hear from the provider within two days. On Day One, we received an email directly from the provider indicating that someone would contact us shortly to schedule the treatment. After the second day, we called the provider who apologized for not getting back to us. As time was of the essence, we scheduled the service for 6 pm the following day. On the scheduled day of service, the technician called in the mid-afternoon and said that he was on his way to our home. Fortunately we were home and available at the earlier time. While everything worked out fine, the communication around the scheduling was cumbersome at best.

They've billed me for the service that I paid for through Angie's List. At first when you call the office they are really professional and kind. I had a problem with the service guy coming out. He had to reschedule for the following Saturday and then he was under the weather so he had to reschedule again for the afternoon after 3. Then I got a call from the office that he wouldn't be there and I told them I got a call saying he would be here after 3 and they were surprised. They ended up sending someone else. There was an issue with the first service guy and communication.

Technician was very professional and accommodating, wore shoe covers in the house, addressed all our concerns.

I contacted Rose Pest Solutions who was offering a Deal for 1 year of pest removal services for $500. At the time I had been battling a massive ant infestation in my home. I had been fighting these ant for 5 weeks prior to contacting Rose Pest Solutions. I had easily spent over $100 on ant traps, baits, and sprays to no avail - as soon as I would get rid of the ants in one part of my house they would appear in another, and even returned to parts where I had rid them just days earlier. I was at my wits end! I purchased the Deal with Rose Pest Solutions. They got in touch with us quickly and scheduled their visit. My wife expressed concern about the use of pesticides since we have 3 dogs. They assured us that their treatments were safe for the inside and outside of our home. They guaranteed they would get rid of our ant problem and that we could count on them whenever we needed them. They came out and thoroughly treated our home against our ant problem. They were very thorough and professional. After the one visit our ant problem completely disappeared! Not one ant sighting since they came out and our problem has been resolved! Naturally I am very happy with their service and I would highly recommend their company. I will continue to use them to deal with any future infestations and I will no longer attempt to battle this problem on my own!

Firstly, outside of Terminex and Ortho, I didn't review many pest companies that had prior experience with termites. I preferred to deal with a more local company and Rose has been in pest business for 60+ years. I have lived in the area since 1992 and had never heard of any instances of termite infestations from friends (unlike Georgia)?.many instances. First foyer paint began crazing and then began to crack and lift. We were thinking water but their was no water staining. When paint on powder room door jamb began lifting we touched a raised area and several termites fell out. We have been in the house since 2006? ranch with basement, but no attic area. Art, was our go to guy, who really has stayed on top of things. Termites were found in foyer, walls were torn out by contractor, Art returned and sprayed new wood that had been put in as well as existing area. Basement was sprayed in some areas but only abandoned mud casings were found. Attached garage had both active and inactive tubes?. all were sprayed. To complete the job bait traps (25) were laid around house perimeter approx.6-7 feet apart (not positive on footage). 3 were also placed in crawl space. Bait stations contain a mix of wood and liquid. These will be periodically checked. Servicing bait traps can be maintained in future years for 190.00/yr and service can be passed to new owners should they wish to continue. I believe there is a good possibility that infestation began approx 2 yrs ago when city removed 2 dead elm trees in front yard. Neighbor also had a tree removed this last summer. Termites eat the sprayed wood and the treated wood in the traps. They past the food along from one to another which then kills other termites. Spray is odorless and is consumed unknowingly by the remaining colonies. Safe for children and pets. We were very happy with the company. Their concern and professionalism. We will be in contact with Rose for as long as we remain in house. I will keep updates posted. I would definitley call Rose for ANY other pest problems. This is serious business !!

The workers are very friendly, efficient and willing to answer all questions. We have not seen filth flies (touch wood) for 3 months now. Our ants also seem to be gone. They made additional recommendations for keeping ants away. They also gave us a solution for our groundhog problem.

Earl was very nice and very thorough. He pointed out some holes where mice were getting in and suggested I seal them up. I've used Rose Pest Solutions for many years and will continue to use them.

The pest technician who came out inspected every apartment and showed me some spots that needed to be sealed off to keep mice from coming in. One of the apartments that had mice continued to see mice even after the holes were sealed off. Their technician came out two more times. The problem was a housekeeping issue. The tenant wasn't cleaning her kitchen and the mice were eating food crumbs on the floor. The bait was untouched. I had to instruct the tenant to thoroughly clean her kitchen (stove, fridge, dishes, pantry, mop floor, etc.) Once she did that the mice disappeared. I have used Rose Pest Solutions (the one in Lombard - don't know if they are connected to the others) quite a few times over the years and will continue to use them.

We tried all the big guys and had terrible experiences. Finally landed on Rose Pest and it was a real turning point. Same guy, Steve, every time. So he knew us, our business and building. When we had issues, he was very responsive and quick and got results. We used them for years, until we sold the business. Always really happy with the work they did and how they did.

I interviewed 5 companies and my husband told me to hire someone that I trusted. I trusted them and they were wonderful. The were on time and professional and went well beyond. They also made follow ups after service was done.

They are very professional. They will come back out free of charge if the problems still exist.

I could not use their services however this was not due to anything on their part. They were helpful, cooperative, patient, and quite gracious on the phone with me.

When he checked it out, he said nothing was wrong.
