I signed up for my chimney to be cleaned and the guys were prompt to get in touch and respond. During the cleaning they alerted me to an issue I was aware of but kept putting off. The original chimney chase was in poor shape and needed to be reworked. It stung like heck having the work done but it's fire, so, fire. I was thoroughly impressed that the guys went above and beyond when installing the new chase. I watched them from the window while they caulked every nook and cranny on the entire chimney exterior, and nailed in every nail within reach on the roof. He even bought me a little time by applying clear silicon to an area on the chimney that was suffering from water damage from the roof. Also they trimmed back some branches that were getting close to the top. Top notch guys right there.

Jeff is great. Very helpful and courteous. He even pointed out other services that needed to be performed on the house to ready it for winter (not add ons to his service; things he noticed about my house unrelated to the chimney - so he was helpful beyond just the green that was going into his pocket.) Answers questions in a very personable way. Jeff made sure that he answered all my questions before he left. I would not hesitate to refer Jeff to others..

Had scheduled an appointment for 9:00 a.m., at 10:30 a.m. they still had not shown up or called. I contacted there office and received a call back that they would be to my home sometime in the next hour. They showed up at 11.40 a.m. They cleaned the fireplace and said there was some mortar cracked in the hearth floor. They did not ask if I wanted to get it repaired. I asked if they did repairs and they never gave me an answer other than you need to get the mortar repaired. Only took about half an hour to clean and remove there equipment. Still feel like when they say cleaned and inspection that they also would ask if we would liked to have had the mortar issue taken care of. Now I have to get someone else to finish the repairs.

They were professional all the way! They came on time, worked until the job was done. He explained my warranty and they left. Personality wise, they were both pleasant and had manners, which I liked. I would use them again. But, hopefully, they did such a great job, I won't have to. I DO recommend Kleen Sweep Maintenance.

Jeff and Dean came and cleaned our ducts and dryer vents. They were quick and professional. Jeff even took the time to explain the process and date flow panels for future reference to clean them again. I highly recommend this company and it's nice to know there are still a few value added businesses out there.

I couldn't be happier with Kleen Sweep Maintenance. I sent a couple emails before I purchased the Angie's List Deal and I heard back from Jeff in an hour or so, thoroughly answering my questions. They were able to come out in a couple of days to complete the work. Jeff and his partner took the time to walk through everything they were going to do and allowed me to ask questions along the way (i.e. where is the best place to buy firewood? how often should we have the chimney/fireplace swept? how long should I keep the damper open after a fire? how does the duct cleaning vacuum work? how often do you need ducts cleaned? I had a lot of questions, we're new to the house and never had a fireplace before!). They took their time and did a great job. Inside of the fireplace looks great after being tuckpointed and now the ash tray in the back is sealed (it wasn't laying flat before). The house smells and feels so much better now that we had the ducts cleaned. I think what really sets them apart is that they weren't trying to oversell their work and the frequency of the jobs they were doing. They gave me estimates in usage instead of years/months so I knew when to have them back. They were honest and made me comfortable with using the fireplace, even let me know of things I should keep an eye on. They were very personable and I would highly recommend their work.

I didnt use the deal because I needed to replace a door switch and this deal didnt cover what I needed. I told the manager exactly what I needed before they came out and he ok'd but when they showed up they were only able to clean vents. They didnt listen to a word I said.

They cleaned my chimney and made recommendations to minimize smoke coming into the room. The service call went well.

We initially obtained 3 quotes from various companies and Kleen Sweep landed in the middle on price We were impressed by their general attitude and responses - plenty of detailed discussion without pressure selling and a thorough inspection of the proposed work to ensure we were all aware of the scope of the job to be done. Jeff, Dean and Tommy turned up on time, in good spirits and got on the with task promptly. I cannot praise these guys highly enough ! They were polite, respectful, efficient, professional and obviously a great work team. They cleaned up as they went along and there was absolutely no mess down the chimney and into the fireplace which amazed me as I had prepared for some debris to fall through. The brickwork on our chimney is old and hard to obtain these days - about 30 replacement bricks were required. They went to several suppliers in order to obtain the best match possible and succeeded admirably in tracking down the best aesthetic match. Only one little task got forgotten but Jeff came back an hour later to complete it - with a cheerful smile and a willing attitude - Thanks so much Jeff we really appreciate the extra time and trouble you took. All in all I believe we made an excellent choice with Kleen Sweep and we will certainly use them again should the need arise. The whole process was painless and stress free. What a welcome change from the usual experience ! Don't hesitate with this company, you are in good hands with these guys. Jeff was great! He was very professional and made us feel very comfortable. We received three other quotes and he was not the cheapest or the most expensive but he was the only one with ideas on alternatives. The inside of one of our chimneys was falling apart and instead of telling us that we need to fix it or the house would crumble, he suggested we put a vent less log kit in the place. We absolutely love it! It is on a remote control and we can have a fire that warms the room in a matter of seconds! He was the only one that offered that suggestion. I trust Jeff and will recommend him to anyone who asks.

I am selling my home and was presented with a chimney repair quote as part of the home inspection which was written in an alarmist fashion trying to scare me that my chimney was a safety risk and doing $6k+ worth of work (25 year old chimney). I contacted Kleen Sweep as one of 3-5 contractors to inspect damage and give me a quote. Of the 3 chimney contactors I contacted they appeared most knowledgable and helpful to me and quickly delivered a professional estimate for the work needed. Often in these situations, buyers just want the money and never get the work done. I needed a legitimate contractor who could help me and unfortunately risk they could be the best proposal/solution and still the buyers might take the money and run. This did scare off some of the other contractors I contacted. I chose their proposal as the best solution for the problem and have scheduled to use them to do the work. Note also that they were not the low bid. They were the most forthright and knowledgable with what I believe the best solution. This is not to say their price was high, it just says it seemed appropriate for the level of work needed. My main contact by both phone and email was Jeff. I will be back to update when the work is completed.

They were absolutley wonderful. I now because of what they did and how they approached it so forth and so on, I have switched from my other vendor and I am going to use them soley now. I am really pleased with them. I was okay with the price. They follow up with calls, if they are not going to be there when they say, which happened once.

They really did a great job. I had gotten several quotes over time but always had trouble getting their insurance certificate. He was very upfront about his insurance and worker's comp and provided the required certificate. He was able to do the work promptly and showed up when he said he would. He did exactly what I needed and did an excellent job matching the brick. The crew was wonderful and was very neat.

I requested an estimate for services and was contacted via email (as requested) with a detailed general quote. The Kleen Sweep team (Jeff R. and Dean K.) showed up on time as scheduled and immediately began evaluating the requested services. These guys were not only informative through out the entire service call but were friendly, personable and 100% professional. They worked for the better part of 3.5 hours and did an amazing job. The chimney cap installation as well as the cap level performance damper installation looks great and the function is fantastic. The duct cleaning was NOT what we expected, it was FAR better. The "Valu-Pak mailer $9.95 blow your dirt around cleaning" was not the case here. The equipment and technique used to clean the vents was new to us and provided the type of cleaning you would expect for a commercial application, it was worth it and will be used when needed in the future. The humidifier needed a major de-calcification (hard water) and they did this for far less then expected.I would highly recommend the team of Jeff and Dean of Kleen Sweep Maintenance. These guys should be welcomed members to anyone's list of annual home service providers.

They are very respectful. They make sure to put booties on their shoes. They clean up after themselves, and they are honest. He took care of the problem. It has been fine ever since. I think the pricing is comparable to others in this area.

He was very thorough and honest. He got up on the roof and didn’t hide anything. He explained everything and advised what we could do ourselves. He also advised the professional job and gave me the estimate. I found it not fitting in my budget at the moment, so will not be having the job done now. I will contact them again in the future.

Fantastic! Our air quality is MUCH better. Update : 2013-Jeff urged us to get a fp and furnace cap and charged us $145 to put a cap on our furnace and another $145 to put a cap on our fp. We just had to have our chimney crown replaced (it was cracked and leaking water into our home in two places). Jeff never mentioned our crown was cracked, and if it was not cracked then, I wonder if his two incorrectly sized caps on the cement crown caused water to sit improperly on our chimney crown and crack it . All I know is that three years later, I had a chimney leaking, and a chimney crown that had to be replaced ($1500). The chimney people (all 7 quotes I got) all said that whomever put the caps on did not do us a favor because they were improperly sized, and thus TRAPPED water on our chimney. They all asked me why those specific caps were placed on our chimney crown. I would not use this operation again for chimney anything.

Kleen Sweep (Jeff) provided a competitive estimate for the work requested. Initially, I also requested a liner for the chimney but after consideration I had that removed from the estimate ($1200). Jeff understood exactly what I was asking him to do, provided an accruate written estimate of the work to be performed. He showed up exactly on time and the work took a little less than a full day to complete. He explained what he was doing as he was working to keep me updated. The brick work and crown look very nice and I am happy w/ the work. Jeff assured me that if I changed my mind about installing the liner, he would be able to come back and do that at a later time.
