I purchased the $199/6 hour deal (purchased 3 total). The handyman was Tom Frye. He was very cordial and knowledgeable. He tiled my laundry room, mounted a tv, and hid wires behind wall (for 3 TVs). Also he did some plumbing and installed an electrical outlet. Overall Tom was a pleasure to work with, and made me and my family very comfortable. Thanks.

Great! Tom was on time, professional and friendly. Every thing I needed done was completed. I needed a part for two of the exhaust fans and he wrote out the names of items and even told what aisle they would be in at Home Depot ! All clean up done! Would defiantly recommend!

Arrived on-time, professional demeanor and work ethic, friendly, clean, and amiable. The contractor really went above and beyond what I expected, and I would definitely call KDM again for their services.

So far, the work is great but the project is still underway, as it has only been two days.

We bought an Angie's List special for 6 hours of contractor work. Tom was great! He was on time, nice to work with and finished everything on our list in 6 hours. He even cut an extra shelf out of a leftover piece of wood from our store-bought closet organizer kit. We've already called KDM Contractors back for an estimate on another project.

I had purchased the $199 for six hours of handyman work coupon. Kent from KDM contractors called in a couple of days and set up a schedule for a handyman to come in within a week.Tom came in on time. Asked me what had to be done. Started working right way. When Tom found that the screws that were supplied by the manufacturer did not work I was worried he or I may have to go to Home Depot to get them. But Tom said he may have them in his truck...sure he did. He went to his truck got them and finished installing the lights with the right screws. Then he started installing exterior outlets. I had purchased all the materials thinking I may need a GFI outlet which cost me $20. But Tom told me that I did not need a GFI on that circuit since there was one already in the garage. So he replaced the GFI that was there with a regular outlet. Later I returned the $20 GFI saving myself some money. Good work Tom! There was about an hour left out of the 6 hours. So I asked Tom to spend an extra hour at $80 and paint 3 window sills which were sun damaged and the paint was peeling. I was not sure Tom could finish 3 windows in 2 hours since they needed scraping and two coats of paint. AgaIn Tom did a great job and he finished all 3 windows. All in all it was a job well done. Tom completed quite a lot of work in 7 hours.

We are very happy with out new deck and they hardly took a break and it took 3 days. The temperatures were up in the 90 degree area. Kent the owner, works very hard with his employees to do a great job. They worked long hours when needed. Some time the phone calls were answered the next day. I realized he worked straight through the day and would recommend him and his workers.

KDM e-mailed right away. We asked the sales representative to come out and look at our bathroom. Ed was very helpful and explained everything in detail. Kent, the owner, worked around my schedule. Tom was the contractor who came to do the job. He was right on time. He was very nice and understanding of my schedule. We are so pleased with the job he did tiling our shower. We are looking forward to working with Tom on our next job!

Communication was very good. I received a call confirming the time and discussed the services to be performed. Tom showed up on time and was completed work in a professional manner.

Tom arrived for a 6-hour day right on time and was extremely friendly and helpful. He worked quickly and neatly. In one day, he tore out the bathroom, worked on drywall repairs, provided us with advice, ideas, supply lists and measurements. He was willing to listen to our concerns about budget and time, and overall was quite helpful. We look forward to his returning to do work for the second Big Deal package in a few weeks. I am confident both of our bathrooms will be looking great by the time he is finished. I would recommend his/their work to others.

Their work was top notch! My father in law saw the deck and said we could have a herd of elephants on the deck. Beautiful work, very sturdy, done in a timely manner. We could not be happier.

We were so pleased with Kent's work on two previous projects that we went with him for our new bathroom. We knew what we wanted and Kent made it happen. He was not the lowest price contractor, but you really do get what you pay for. The quality of his work is top notch. I highly recommend KDM, and will use them again.

These guys did a fantastic job and turned it around in a week time frame! I will definitely be using them in the future. I talked with Ed the project manager on everything and he was very friendly and jovial to work with. He took care of things I didn't ask him to do because he knew it needed to be done right. I nominal fee was added to the contract but it was fair and the extra work was appreciated. Thanks guys!

These deals are being refunded because they're not licensed to do work outside of the home, which is what we need done.

After reading other good reviews, we purchased a Big Deal for discounted labor from KDM Contractors. We decided to apply the discounted labor toward a full bathroom installation in our basement. Kent was great to work with. He contacted me promptly after we purchased the Big Deal...we set an appt for him to estimate our project as well as one other project we are considering doing down the road. We felt the estimate was a good price. We agreed on a date to start the work. Although the bathroom itself is modest and relatively small, this project involved a huge variety of work. Including...breaking up concrete flooring, getting drain lines situated, re-pouring concrete floor, electric work, running new plumbing supply lines, framing and drywalled the bathroom walls, building a custom cabinet, hanging doors, installing ventilation for bathroom fan, installing all bathroom appliances and painting. All of the work was completed with quality by experienced individuals. The bathroom looks great! We were amazed at how smoothly everything went with this project. Kent and his crew were courteous and reliable. They did several things that we felt were above and beyond. One of these items is that they removed some nearby old plumbing (which was not part of the estimate), something we expected to have to remove later on our own. Another thing is that they purchased and installed a sink drain stopper that matched our sink faucet (because the faucet did not have one that came with it). We would definitely use KDM again in the future and highly recommend them to others.

KDM was punctual and performed all the work to our satisfaction. They were flexible with the scope of work and scheduling. The exterior doors are hung great. As they neared completion of some projects, and I insisted I could finish the remainder (for example some interior trim on one of the doors), they were happy to get started on the next project right away. For a handy homeowner like myself, this really allowed me to get the most bang for my buck.

The workers were very efficient, punctual, tidy and careful not to spread the construction debris. Everything went well until we received the final bill which was so much more than what we expected and there were some parts of the wall that had to be redone and a minor part where we had to redo it ourselves since the worker forgot about it, & also left the reat of the trash for us to dispose. There was no breakdown of the bill which is why we were a bit surprised at the final amount. We had gotten a cheaper contract from someone else. The workers were very polite though

Paul was prompt and professional. He quickly assessed my list of jobs and easily completed them. I will be using KDM Contractors again for other jobs around the house! I highly recommend KDM Contractors!

I had contacted KDM to come out and provide a quote for a fairly large amount of work. They scheduled a visit over a week and a half out. They called the day of the appointment to confirm the appointment then called back several hours later to say that they were too busy to accept new work and canceled the appointment. I appreciate how busy contractors in the area are due to the recent sever flooding in the area but to agree to an appointment, confirm on the day of the appointment then cancel later that same day is not very professional. As a consumer I am trying to get three quotes to be competitive and this means I now have to locate and schedule a new visit from a new contractor. Very disappointing as they looked like they could do a good job.

Guys came and prepped the walls and painted our family room, which has a very high vaulted ceiling. Apart for an area of drywall they had a tough time with, they did an excellent job and worked very hard. The drywall repair was outstanding. Kudos to the team.

Everything went according to plan and budget. My only feedback is they could have used drop cloth when painting and mudding drywall. Kent and his team are good people to work with. Will hire him again.

My husband and I were looking to purchase one of the Angie's list deals but we contacted Kent prior to purchasing it to see if he could provide us with an estimate for the work we needed done so we could get a general idea of how long it would cost if extra hours of work were needed. First of all he canceled short noticed and never even apologized for the inconvenience just saying "he can't make it." Then we reschedule it and he sends someone else out to do all the measurements. Ok fine, Kent would call us with the price and estimate within a day or 2. Well that was over a month ago even after my husband called multiple times to attempt to follow up. So incredibly rude and unprofessional.

As soon as I called I got an immediate response and was able to schedule the work for the same weekend. The deal that I purchased at the time was for 6 hours of handyman service for $300 dollars. The total area of my family room was 320 sq.ft., I was told that the job would actually take about 8 hours. In order to save time (in cut down on the cost) I had the furniture, carpeting & quarter-round removed before he arrived. Ken arrived on time and had all the materials he need. I still had some glue from the carpeting on the concrete floor from the carpet, that I was unable to remove on my own. Ken had the tools on hand to remove the remaining glue and clean the floor. Once Ken got started on the project he did not stop until the job was completed. Overall it ended up taking about 9 hours and additional time was charged at $80 per hour. Once he completed it explained to me how I put the quarter round back on. Overall I think he did a great job. There are a few areas where the flooring does not meet the wall, but I'm sure once the quarter-round is re-installed you won't be able to tell. I would definitely use them again for some other projects I have around the house.

We are pleased with the work done so far and have secured his services for another date.
