I provided an initial list of projects when I bought the deal. We agreed upon a date and I told Kent I would call him the Friday before to finalize the list. I made the call on the appropriate day and informed Kent of the projects, as some had changed. I asked if the work could be done in the 6 hours and we agreed that I would pay an hourly fee if the door installation took longer. The original installer was ill so KDM subcontracted to another person. He arrived early but had not been told all that he was going to be doing, although Kent was informed the Friday prior to the scheduled date. I ended up having to go to Home Depot to purchase dry wall board and screws as the installer did not have either with him. I was not informed ahead of time that I need to provide either of these items. Everything went well until it was time to install the door. The installer had not been told that would be on the agenda so he did not have the appropriate tools with him. Since he had completed 3 hours of work, we agreed he would return the next day with everything he needed to install the door in the remaining 3 hours paid for.The installer returned the next day and completed the door installation, although I had to purchase shims as well. Although the work was completed and looks great, I was not happy to have to run out and get simple supplies. If I had been told ahead of time they were needed, I would have made sure they were available upon his arrival. Also, since I purchased the shims and screws I would expect the excess to be given back to me. They were not. The total of both items combined is less than $10, but it's the principal. I was considering using KDM for a kitchen remodeling project but now am not sure.

I purchased an Angies List Deal for 6 hours of work. The fine print for the deal mentioned that I could request 2 people for 3 hours instead of 1 person for 6 hours. Because of the nature of the work, mine was a 2-person task. So I'm glad I read the fine print. I got an email from Angies List saying that I had a message from the company. I communicated with the company using Angies List messages to explain the work to be done, ask for 2 workers for 3 hours, and schedule the work. The workers showed up on time, were very professional and competed the work to my satisfaction.

The vendor was polite and seemed to know what he was doing. What he assembled was fine. We did need some hardware (nuts, bolts, etc.) from the hardware store to assemble certain items. He did figured out what hardware was required. It was indicated that his going to the hardware store would reduce the six hour time purchased to 5 (which would include the time to get the hardware). He explained that the 1 hour reduction in time was to cover gas expense going to the store - although the store was less than a mile away. The handyman was gone for at least 1 hour to purchase the hardware needed for the job. He did get it right, but he was gone so long, I almost wondered if he would ever return. Once he did - he did finish the projects satisfactorily. The cost of the Big Deal was OK - although not better than another we purchased. He indicated the per hour cost if we intended to use them in the future. That cost was substantially more than another Handyman we found who was more professional and responsive to our needs. Bottom line - the cost of the Big Deal coupon was decent - as was the service, but not anything special. However - the 6 hours of work purchased resulted in about 4 - 4 1/2 (including what I estimate to have been a reasonable amount of time to go to the store and back).

They replaced a porch over my front door.

I couldn't be happier with the service from KDM. From the initial scheduling and responsiveness from Kent, to the services performed by Paul and JD. I doubled down on an Angie's Deal with KDM and got (2) days of handyman services (6 hrs per day). Kent promptly contacted me to schedule. We came up with some days that worked. Prior to the appointment, Ken contacted me again to go over what I needed done to make sure the guys arrived prepared and with the proper tools, etc. First up was JD. He did a fantastic job removing a mirrored wall. The wall beneath the mirror was pretty jacked up afterward and he laminated it with 1/4 drywall. He also trimmed an inch or so off of a custom built freestanding bookcase I had from our previous home. He was then able to install it flush on the wall and with the same base and crown molding so that it looked like a built-in. At the time, I also had some electricians installing some recessed lighting and in-wall speaker wire. Following JD, we had Paul come by to fix and patch some of the holes left by the electricians. He also cut holes for the in-wall speakers and navigated some tricky and very sturdy HVAC ducting. I was so happy with both JD and Paul, we had Paul back for another day of drywall repair and to hang my TV. I know, I know, I could have hung it myself, but these guys were real pros. Lastly, I want to mention that they were very tidy. Each day they finished up with cleaning after themselves, which my wife really appreciated. For that matter, so did I, because she would have had me clean up after them for sure. I would absolutely use KDM again, and I'd definitely want Paul and JD back.

JD and Tom did work at my home. Both men were prompt and ready to work when they arrived and worked at a consistant pace until they were done. Both of them were also careful of my property and cleaned up when the day was done. I am very pleased with the work that was done.

They did a great job! They came out about 10 days after I purchased the deal. It cost me $150 because we added a second light fixture. They were thorough and on-time. The communication was good.

It went great. They accommodated our need for a quick turnaround on getting out to us and Paul was very good. He was prompt, professional, and helped us get about 6 months of work (putting up shelves, paintings, general work in the kids rooms and a bunch of other stuff) done in one day. He couldn't have been any better and I would definitely use both KDM and Paul in particular again in the future. Thank you so much for the fantastic experience.

Ceiling fan installation. They did a great job and came on a Saturday morning.

I highly recommend KDM- especially Tom who did a great job on the house. Because of our positive experience with our initial Big Deal purchase, we have continued to buy them or use KDM when possible.

This was an Angie's Big Deal, and I'm so glad I signed on. Weather delayed Tom by 1/2 an hour, but he called me to let me know. I was very pleased with the work he did. I will definitely call on him again with an even bigger job.

He arrived on time and he was professional and easy going - he went right to work on what we thought was an endless list - he listened gave suggestions and was very thorough --- he finished everything very quickly - we could not even fill the time we booked him for ! we will call him again and will consider him for bigger projects that come up --- he really knows hat he is doing - took care of everything from plumbing to electrical to a counter and sink installation - thank you !!!!

KDM repaired some trim on the exterior of my house. They did an excellent job (as always).

I also asked for quotes on installing TV mounts, a whirlpool tub that doesn't work, hardwood floors, an incorrectly installed sump pump, finishing the basement and adding a bath, installing or moving my existing exterior motion lights. I will be calling tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19th to follow up and hope that I can get the small projects done by Thanksgiving.

KDM sent Tom in as part of an Angie's list deal for 6 hours of labor. We needed someone to readjust doors that no longer closed due to settling/structural issues in an old house we purchased 2 years ago. One door was so bad that when you tried to close it, there was no gap at the bottom, but a 1.5 inch gap at the top! We had two bedroom doors and a set of double-hinged French doors that needed adjustment. I was unsure if he would get to the French doors, but Tom fixed them all in the 6-hour window. His work was amazing. The door that was the worst not fits the best out of all our doors. He even had to re-set the frame, which had come off from the floors by 1/2 an inch. Our French doors no align and can be closed! He did great work, was very pleasant and professional, and with all the work we have to do in the house, we will hire him and KDM again. I did give a rating of "B" for punctuality because our initial appointment with KDM was a no-show due to miscommunication between the KDM office and one of their workers (I don't know the details). These things happen, but it was a slight inconvenience. KDM was very responsive in handling this, however, so it isn't something I am concerned about. Again, very happy with this purchase, and will use them again (and will post on that when I do!).

Tom came out and replaced the badly damaged wood. He arrived every day on time and the quality is great. The neighbors have stopped by to comment on how nice it looks. I would use Tom and KDM again.

They installed an entry way chandelier for me. They did an excellent job from preparation through clean up.

The projects include building custom doors for a seat bench, repairing a door jam on the garage, and fixing holes in the cedar siding on the chimney caused by a woodpecker. Enough work to pay for quality work for a day or so. They never sent a quote like they said they would or called after coming to review the work to be done. Its been 2 weeks since they were here. So in short they may be great handymen but I will never know since they did not provide a quote.

They did a good job with staying within the time framework, scheduling was very easy, but they had to come back to correct some painting, caulking and plumbing minor errors , which is why I gave them a B. They were very accommodating and nice to work with.

Work was done efficiently and on time.

I took advantage of a local Angie's List Deal to remove a bedroom ceiling fan & replace it with a new one. Ed showed up on time. He was courteous & friendly. He protected my furniture with a tarp as he removed my old ceiling fan/light and replaced it with the new fan/light that was waiting in the basement to be installed. It looks & works great. I'm thrilled to have the job done and won't hesitate to call KDM in the future.

Our project was not without a few bumps in the road, but Kent and his team always tried to remedy the situations professionally and quickly. We started the project on Sept 9th with an expected completion date of Sept 20 - due to city permit inspection delays and some modifications that needed to be made to the deck the actual completion date was Oct 20th. A few of the highlights/lowlights: - The inside work was done quickly and cleanly = high - Wanted a 7ft custom slider, no fault to KDM it was damaged and reorder would take too long = low - KDM professionally addressed the situation with a credit to our invoice = high - Realized near the end of the project that some specifications of the deck were not to the original drawings = low - KDM came back to correct the details after the final inspection in order to meet our initial requirements = high - The custom bench and flower boxes that were added on to the end of the project match our vision exactly = high In the end, we do really enjoy the affect the slider has on our house and the addition of the deck will make summer entertaining great! We will look forward to warmer weather since we didn't get to enjoy the breeze or the deck this year.
