They are very good. They were fine and were very cooperative. I had no issues with the quality.

Called the company and they had someone over in an hour. The tech was polite, put on shoe booty's before going upstairs, etc... We discussed the problem, he agreed, and the repair was sone in about 20 min or so. Shared some tips with me as well. Everything is working perfectly. However, I did find the repair costly; the part is about $15-20 at Menards. I have a house buyer inspection coming up and needed it fixed ASAP. Rightly or wrongly I expected the repair to be in the $125 range. Good service but I think you may find a little better value if you shop around a little more. They are worth calling, but insist on a ball park estimate assuming what you think is broken is in fact broken.

We had water leaking thru the kitchen pocket door when the upstairs master bedroom shower was on.The technician (Tom) arrived four hours late for the appointment. Without doing any tests, he immediately claimed the problem was a moving shower pan in the stand-up shower and wrote up a $1,800+ proposal for plumbing services to replace it (carpentry, plaster etc. would be extra). After he left, I did a simple test of pouring water down the shower drain thru a funnel and the shower still leaked. I had to call another plumbing service. The real cause of the problem was leaking copper elbow inside of the ceiling. I am a 65 year old senior citizen.

Greg from Wagner, was prompt and courteous. He quickly figured out the best approach, explained what he would be doing in detail and when to it. Within an hour he fixed the problem, had everything back together and cleaned up!. He obviously had a great deal of experience. Plumbing is never cheap. But, in this case, you get what you pay for. Well done.

Greg from Jim Wagner plumbing did an excellent job in the service he provided. He diagnose, explained the problem, provided reasonable options & recommendations, and answered all our questions. Overall we are very satisfied with the completion of the job. We would definitely recommend using their service again for any plumbing needs.

Wonderful! He called us back quickly and was at the house within 2 hours...fixed it and was so reasonable. We just found him on the list saw good reviews and thought we'd give him a try. The best move! He was great.

My sump pump was making a strange noise and also would not stop running. I called to schedule service and explained that it was urgent to get someone out. With the anticipated rain for the next few days, we couldn't risk a problem. Within the hour, Tom O. called me and was able to re-arrange his schedule. He arrived within two hours as promised. After checking out the unit, he found a faulty switch. He also informed me that the unit was undersized and needed to be replaced. I agreed and within 1-1/2 hours the job was completed. He was thorough with the job and I will use this company again!

Overal, the service done was great, but the price was astronomical.

There was no finish, because we chose not to get started and chose another plumber we found on Angies List.

he did what he said he would and I did not feel like I was taken to the cleaners.

Woke up this morning to a flooded basement. Called Jim Wagner Plumbing just before 7. Got a call back just a few minutes later that they would be here between 8-9. Tom arrived shortly after 8am- got straight to work, was professional and pleasant to work with. Tom replaced the sump pump and gave me a couple tips on how to clean up and get the flood water out, also recommended a correction in our exterior drainage. In the past we've used Jim Wagner Plumbing to install a sink and hook up a dishwasher following a kitchen remodel as well as reset a toliet after some repairs. I have them scheduled to come back this Friday to replace our water heater (long over due!) and reset yet another toilet that has been unbalanced since we bought our home 3 years ago. Would not hesitate to recommend Jim Wagner Plumbing and have in fact given many verbal referrals!

I was very happy with them. They came out the same day which was good. They replaced and fixed the previous installation problem with the old heater at the same time. The only problem I had with them was the one fitting that they didn't tighten up, a month later, they have to come back and fix it but they came back and tightened it up and they didn't charge me.

My husband and I contacted Jim Wagner Plumbing, Inc. because we had a leak that was causing water damage to our floor. The leak was not gushing water but was a constant drip under our first floor that had soaked through the floor and underlayment and was warping our floor. We realized we had a leak on a Saturday, and so we went to Angie's List to look for providers. We looked at several and did our own investigation and saw that Jim Wagner Plumbing, Inc. also had an A rating with the BBB, so we thought we would try the company. We weren't sure whether or not anyone could come out on the weekend, but we called anyway on Saturday because we did not want to wait until Monday to at least start calling people. We called the (815) 886-8663 from the Jim Wagner Plumbing website (which we accessed through the link on Angie's List). My husband spoke with someone, described what was going on, indicated we were looking to get the leak repaired as soon as possible, and the woman on the other end said she would contact that on-call plumber who, in turn, would call us back. She said we should receive a phone call back in 10-15 minutes. So, we waited. After approximately 45 minutes to an hour, we still had not received a phone call back. Now, we know it is the weekend and that we called late in the afternoon. My husband and I wanted to go pick up some food, but did not want to miss the call. So, we called back to the (815)-886-8663 number and said that we were still waiting on a call back, were leaving for a few minutes, and gave them my husband's cellphone number. We received a call back within 5 minutes of the second call. The first thing out of the plumber's mouth was "What's your problem?" but it wasn't in a nice way. There was no "hi" or "hello." He was extremely condescending as if we were inconveniencing him. My husband tried to explain what was going on, but the person cut him off to tell my husband his weekend rate and gave him several numbers. My husband was trying to quickly write down what he was saying, and asked him to clarify the rates. But the guy wouldn't let him talk, and kept on saying "don't you understand what's going on, this is an emergency call" and continued to be condescending. Yes we understand weekend calls are more expensive. We were just trying to clarify what his rates were and what he would do, but he wouldn't let my husband talk and continued to be extremely rude. He was so rude that we ended the phone call. It seemed to us that we were inconveniencing him and that he apparently thought we were stupid, which we're not. We were just trying to get a handle on things. My husband called the (815) 886-8663 to complain about the rude person and was told that the person on the other end was just an answering service. This company may do good plumbing work, but we wouldn't know it, because there is no way we would let them in our house now. We have never been treated so rudely or unprofessionally when trying to hire someone.

Our old sump pump couldn’t keep up with the torrential rains so I called them. They installed a new one right away. It is a really good sump pump and it kept my basement from flooding. I kept telling them that I could not afford a really good sump because I had just moved, so he gave me options of sump pumps that I could afford. It has been working wonderfully since they installed it. They were punctual, the quality of their work was good, their response was good, and the end result was good.

My experience with Jim Wagner Plumbing Inc was great and wonderful. Jim was awesome, professional and courteous.

Went very well. He was here when he said he would be, gave us a fair price on the relocating and the other work needed. During the 2 hours that he was here; laid down tarps,he worked quietly, took the old water heater away and before he left he made sure to explain some of the features of the new water heater to me. This is the second time we have had this plumber work in our house (the first time was for a sump pump) and I would call him again.
