They were very professional, and took care of everything quickly. They were also very knowledgable, did a good job, and I would highly recommend them.

We were very satisfied with the work done. A few days after we accidentally left our garage door open at night we noticed our garage motion activated light was coming on at night and there were raccoon prints all over the cars. We looked in the garage window at night and thought we saw FOUR raccoons inside under the eaves. Critter detectives came out the first day we called and were able to catch the mother that day. They left two cage traps on the floor for a couple of days but nothing else was caught. Then they moved them up high near the eaves and two young raccoons were in them the next morning. After that they left an empty cage trap for an extra week because we thought we saw four but nothing else was caught nor was there a smell of a dead animal, so there must have only been three raccoons in total. All the Critter Detectives employees who came out were friendly, responsive and professional. They charged us a set up fee of $85 and then $55 for each animal caught.Before calling Critter Detectives I went to check out a raccoon trap from our Village, which lends them out one at a time for a week without charge, but they were all checked out already. Critter Detectives told me later that it's hard to catch adult females in cages because they know to avoid them. They used a net to catch her. After seeing the behavior of the mother once they had caught and transferred her to a cage I was glad we didn't try to catch her ourselves.

They were responsive and performed their service as they described it.

I called Critter Detectives out on 6/21/2011. One of the owners came out and he set up the initial traps and newspaper in the hole of the roof that led to the attic. He told me to call whenever the paper was moved or the traps needs re-setting. Although I rarely got a callback when I left a message, they ALWAYS came out, usually the SAME DAY to perform the requested tasks. It took approximately one month, but one squirrel was caught and that seemed to be the extent of the animals in my attic. Very professional and good work. I'd recommend and use them again if needed!

I was happy with them. They came when I called and took care of the problem. I guess their pricing was okay because I really did not compare with other providers. Their quality was good. They came immediately after I contacted them and they were on time.

I haven’t had any other problems. The possums know not to come back in my backyard any more. The workers were professional, courteous and on time. They did their job and they know their rodents. The price was good and they were punctual. I kept their business card if I was to need them again.

It went very well overall. Lou was very professional; he figured the squirrel came in through an open vent on the roof. I had somehow coaxed the critter into coming into the laundry room through a hole in the fuse box panel. I fed the squirrel some bread to get him to come back later. The squirrel was small and weak already from having been stuck in our ceilings for maybe a week with no food. When Lou brought the trap, he set it up and recommended a placement, but I knew where the squirrel would go, so we put it in my place. Later, I heard some noise in the laundry room and cracked the door to see the squirrel trying to get the food through the side of the cage...didn't work. Later, heard a peanut cracking and found the guy in the cage with the door still open! Tried to catch him but he escaped back into the wall. Lou said he would be back for the rest of the food, so I reset the trap and later, we did catch it! Unfortunately or not, it died the next morning which was sad. We wanted it taken somewhere and let go, but the poor thing was too thin. Lou took it away the next day and an associate came the next Monday and put the cage on. Price was a little high, but we did catch it!

It went very well. CD promptly returned my call and explained their fees and so on. They installed the trap without me needing to be home. They successfully removed the animals and gave a 30 day guarantee that they would not come back. This really is helpful since raccoons and opossums can be quite resilient. Initially I thought the setup and removal fees were steep but on the other hand I think it was money well spent considering what would be involved should one wish to do this on their own. CD is a very professional and reliable company.

Lou did a great job assessing my problem and offering suggestions to solve them. In fact, he recommended trying to remove a portion of the bottom deck first before he set traps. He believed that if I did this, the raccoons would no longer visit. He offered to come back latter and set traps if they did return and apply my first visit fee to any additional work. I appreciated how he was concerned about solving my problem. He also told me how to remove the raccoon feces, which he warned were toxic. It's been a month and the raccoons are gone. Thanks Lou, I would highly recommend your services.

Everything went very well and we were pleased from the outcome. We got them from Angie's List and we're going to have them do more work. The technician was very professional and quick, as the appointment took no longer than 40 minutes, as we were just trying to figure out how the guy got in there. He went on the outside, on the roof, in the attic, and completed a thorough inspection to figure out where the squirrel could have gotten in. He figured the point of entry was the ceiling fan, so we're going to put a cage around the opening.

Overall it went well. Glad he told me about the insurance covering the damage because I went ahead and called my insurance and they took care of everything.

They responded right away and came out the same day to set a trap for a skunk that was living under my front porch. Thankfully, there was only one. It took a while to get him, they had to come out a few times to re-bait the trap. Once they trapped him, I called, they came out and got rid of the skunk. The only thing: they killed him in my front yard and the stench lasted for many days. But, I would use them again!

Lou, the owner was extremely responsive, professional and helpful. They caught the squirrels successfully over a 7-10 day period. Pricing was straightforward, and there were no hidden surprises. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I called them because I have trouble with squirrels trying to get into my house. They called me promptly after I sent an email to them to arrange a time to come out. He arrived within the set time frame. After setting up the traps, he explained what I should do (call them before 9 AM of the day(s) that and animal was in the trap. When I saw a squirrel in one of the traps a few days later, I called as required and the same service guy came out to remove the critter a put a new trap out. He has been back several times just to check. The are very professional and competent.

Thought I might have a raccoon in the attic. Lou returned my call promptly and arranged for his brother to come out for an inspection that afternoon. Rob showed up on time and we discussed the potential problem. Rob did a walk around of the house looking for entry points and then climbed on the roof. Finding nothing on the exterior, he then inspected the attic.Luckily, found nothing more than evidence of mice. After paying him for the service call, I asked him to take a look at a hole that had been dug under my shed. Rob said it was a skunk's hole. I told him I'd call him back in early spring for removal. Will use again and would recommend to others based on this experience.

The job went very well, and I had a fine experience with them. They were very dependable, very nice, and professional. They came when they said they would come, and the problem has been resolved. They are busy, so they couldn’t get here soon enough. I live in an area with a lot of trees, so I will continue to use them in the future.

Lou seemed very knowledgeable. He came the first time and didn't look on the roof, which I was a little unhappy about, but based on what I told him, he thought he was looking for squirrels. He didn't think it was squirrels, so I had people out to look for rats and mice. It wasn't that so I had Lou come out a second time and he bore through the ceiling and saw that it was a raccoon. He set a trap and took it away and sealed it up. I haven't received his second bill yet. I felt like he should have been able to tell what it was in the beginning. I looked at other prices and they seemed more reasonable. I think they know what they are doing and I would use them again.

We called them and they were able to come out that same day. They set up a trap in the attic and they were very attentive to the trap while it was still up. We found out that the racoon had not settled so we were unable to catch it, but I had a good experience working with Critter Detectives. They came out and did what they said they were going to do.

They did a good job of finding what all was living underneath our deck and taking care of it. They are very responsive and good with follow up. Everyone is very nice. It is a small operation. I was pleased that this last visit was free, because they were maintaining a previous visit.

They came and placed a trap in my backyard near my shed where I found a skunk had been digging under. The employee who placed the trap was friendly and professional. We caught the skunk the first night! They came and took it away and I asked them to rebait and leave a new trap. Every morning, I go and check the trap, call them to report if anything was in it. They always came when called and also came on days the trap remained empty to be certain that the bait and trap were still working. The staff was friendly and professional. My goal was to catch skunks and after several weeks of no skunks, but plenty of raccoons, I told them to remove the trap.

The man who came out from Critter Detectives to get the job done was very knowledgeable and helpful. The people who came out were also prompt. There were 6 skunks and 2 raccoons. Since it was under my screen house I am going to tear it down and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money to make it animal proof. They were very helpful and told me to get cement blocks, which they were able to use to block it. It appeared as if there were no animals underneath. I had also got a coupon from one of the companies. I think I paid around 124 $ to set things up and 55 $ for each critter that they removed. I hope I don’t have to use them again, but if needed then they would be the first people whom I will call. I was really surprised when they came out to Evanston, but they did come every time I called them.

They came after hours to our house and solved our problem quickly. I knew as to what they were doing and I will use them again in the future, if required.
