Modern Quality Flooring is an excellent company who we would recommend to anyone without hesitation. We discovered 50 year old parquet flooring under the carpets of our new house. Danny and his team removed the carpet, helped us choose a beautiful stain option, sanded, stained, and refinished the floors. The team cleaned up very thoroughly when the job was done, and the floors look amazing! Danny and the team were always very available, explaining what was going on during each step of the process and patiently answering all our questions. We bought wood thresholds which they stained to match the floors in the rooms. We asked them not to install the thresholds because we were having carpet installed later in the summer. When the carpet installers (not Modern Quality Flooring) came, they would not install the wood thresholds. We gave Danny a call and he quickly sent someone over from his company to help finish the job the other company would not do! We are extremely satisfied with the work and professionalism of Modern Quality Flooring, and we recommend them to anyone needing to have flooring work done!

Except for the bedrooms, most of our condo had wood flooring. We chose Modern Quality flooring to install a matching wood floor in those bedrooms . They did an excellent job. They were prompt and courteous and well priced and took precautions to protect our condo. Recently we had need to do another wood flooring job. Considering the quality of their previous work, they were the obvious choice ---- and we were pleased again

The men did an excellent job ripping out the existing floor and putting in the new engineered wood flooring. They worked hard and were careful in cleaning any messes they made. When they left, all the debris from the job was totally cleaned up. This is the second time I have had Danny and his crew work in my home. I will be using them again, because I trust them and I know they are honest and will do whatever it takes to produce an excellent result. Danny is easy to talk to and he listens to what you want done and makes sure you get the result you want.

Danny and his team were professional and punctual all along and finished the job well on time. Danny was also responsive throughout the process.

We had water damage to our floors and Danny came to assess it. In a few days he gave me a quote, which the price was right in the middle of all of our quotes (5 researched companies) which was the range that I was looking for. Danny was super professional and respectful in explaining the job and also was very re-assuring of all our condo association rules. His team did a fantastic jobs with the floors which look brand new. They did the job in 3 days pretty much. I've worked with a lot of contractors and I hate when projects get drawn out. He assured me that they like to start a job and finish it completely, which they did. There was no need to return at all to finish any small details. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in the future.

Danny's team was punctual and professional. They pulled up old linoleum flooring and replaced with vinyl plank flooring in my kitchen and enclosed porch. The results were excellent and they cleaned up the site really well. Would hire them again.

At the end, he walked me through the whole unit, explained all the things I should pay attention to. He even went into details of how to maintain, clean the hardwood floor. What's even better, recently, a heavy metal accidentally fell onto our floor and cause a deep dent. I contacted Danny (with very little hope actually) but he replied immediately and came in on a Saturday morning to have it fixed for free! Danny and the team and Modern Quality Flooring were recommended from a friend, and we were extremely pleased with our experience from start to finish. Obtaining a quote was a breeze - we submitted some basic info online and received a preliminary quote, which was confirmed/updated based on a quick visit by Danny (at which point he also provided additional background on the process). Danny was able to squeeze us in within a couple weeks of finalizing the quote, and his team was punctual on the first day starting work, which we find isn't often the case with many contractors we have used historically. The team finished the work on time without any hiccups, and the price was exactly as quoted (i.e., no overages or charges for minor repairs/fillers used in the process). We were extremely pleased with the quality of the completed floors, and would highly recommend Modern Quality Flooring to anyone looking to refinish/restain their hardwood floors.

This is the second time I've used Modern Quality Flooring. I was so impressed with them the first time that when the floor they refinished for me last summer incurred water damage (due to a leaking dishwasher), I didn't hesitate to call them to do the repair. As with my first experience, I found them to be highly professional, great at problem solving, and do top-notch work. They also left my apartment extremely neat and clean when they were done (both times). More floors are beautiful once more! I highly recommend this company for hardwood floor installation and refinishing.

Danny and crew did an outstanding job! They showed up on time and completed the work when promised. They ran into a snag in our powder room as they discovered water damage when they took the toilet out to sand the floors. Danny immediately contacted us and replaced a few boards that were damaged. The repair looked great. You never would have known there was an issue. We have a few more areas to finish and we plan to hire Modern Quality Flooring when ready to tackle those rooms.

Fabulous!!! Danny and his team did an amazing job in laying floors and matching colors with some existing flooring on our first floor. They were on time, on budget and very thorough in cleaning along the way in the process. This was a very big job and they handled it very well.

Danny and his entire team were very professional throughout the process. We just bought a house and we decided to replace the carpet upstairs with hardwood before moving in. The previous owners would not let us in until closing, so Danny met us at the house immediately after we closed to give us a final estimate, and his crew came the next day to carry wood upstairs and acclimate it. They exceeded our expectations by finishing the entire project before moving day (we thought we would have to sleep downstairs at first!) and they even fixed our stair railing and replaced the top stair riser before we moved in. Everyone was polite to me and accommodating when I needed to let other pros into our attic. After installation, we were concerned about the color of some of the hickory boards, and I voiced my concerns to Danny. (Hickory is mostly a reddish or blonde color, but a few boards had gray mottling on it--probably a natural variation, but it looked like damage to the untrained eye). Danny was great and offered to have his guys carefully replace 6 boards at no additional cost, just so that we would be happy with the outcome. They did a great job and I can barely tell which boards have been replaced, even if I get down on the floor. Danny also had them restain the stair riser to better match the existing floor, even though I hadn't asked. All in all, we are very pleased and we love the floors.

To say that Danny and his team were meticulous would be an understatement. Could not be happier with the work that they performed and level of detail that they went through to complete the job. They came back on three separate days to make sure each individual coat was applied properly. They also hand sanded every minor detail to make sure the floor was free of imperfections. Really pleased with the quality of the work and would recommend over any other providers that might be cheaper but would not go through the same level of attention to detail and finish.

After buying our new home we decided to refinish the hardwood floors before moving in to avoid having to deal with the hassle of moving furniture around to facilitate the process (not to mention the dust and fumes). We picked a day to get a couple of estimates to do the job and had multiple contractors come out to give us quotes. Danny came right on time and immediately impressed us with his professionalism and straight-forward responses to all of our questions. His quote also came in roughly in line with the rest of the contractors. After hiring Danny he was able to start the job a couple of days later. He did the usual stain test match of a room that more recently been refinished. We all agreed on the stain color and he got to work with the rest of the job. Since we lived roughly 20 miles away we had to have some trust in Danny and his crew. Fortunately, this trust was not misplaced. Danny completed the job in a little less than a week. I ended up meeting him at our house after he was done to look over the job with him before giving him the final payment. I was immediately impressed with the job he and his company had done. The floors looked perfect. He also had agreed to hand-sand much of the staircase and banister to try to match the floors. It's hard to tell that they had been refinished instead of replaced. It was wonderful to work with a contractor who took pride in his work and we could trust when we weren't around. We would without hesitation recommend Modern Quality Flooring to any friends or family who needed similar work done on their home.

The room dimensions were approximately 25 feet by 25 feet. The job took 2 1/2 days from start to finish. The new floor looks outstanding and is absolutely perfect in appearance. During the application, whenever I had concerns about something and I contacted Danny, he immediately addressed them. The men that installed the floor were polite, very neat, and conscientious. They listened to what I had to say respectfully and did what needed to be done to provide a perfect completed floor. I had absolutely no mess to clean up. I appreciate Danny's dedication to do an outstanding job and the work ethic of the gentlemen he employed to do my floor. I would absolutely hire him again and I would absolutely recommend him to others.

The work men arrived on time and completed the work by mid afternoon. There was a problem with the glue for the baseboard but their manager arrived with a different glue and solved the problem. The basement looks as good as new.

The floor turned out very nice. We did a living/dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, three closets and treads and landing for 1.5 staircase. Started on a Monday and finished on Thursday doing final walk through on Friday. The job was done efficiently and the floors look excellent. Danny put down six stain samples after sanding (including a mix of two stains we wanted to see) and also did additional samples on a bottom stair after we narrowed it down so we could compare to the floor in the basement/garden. After we chose the stain we were not interrupted at all (although Danny did make sure to explain things when needed - fox example when the refrigerator could not be entirely pulled out which impacted the finishing). Danny also explained how to care for the floors and made suggestions on some of related items like handrails we are painting. My only complaint was they did not specify what time they were arriving the first day and the time that the stain samples would be ready to view was a bit unclear.

It was great. The floors look spectacular and it was so easy to work with Danny and crew.

Danny was so responsive and available immediately. He was knowledgable and helpful in guiding me through the floor repair process as well as how to deal with my insurance claims.
