Danny and his crew were excellent. Danny impressed us during our first walkthrough, discussing our needs and desires. His communication was thorough and his work was impeccable. They moved large furniture out and are returning to put it back, which is very helpful to us. The floors are absolutely gorgeous, down to the details on the stairs and landing. Their cleanup was also very thorough. We’ve already recommended them to our neighbors!

When I decided to have the floors done in my townhome, I was initially skeptical of all their five-star reviews. However, after checking multiple sources, I found that the reviews for Modern Quality Flooring remained consistently positive. I called and spoke with Danny, who scheduled an appointment, came out to take measurements, explained the process, answered all my questions, and sent out an estimate within a few days. The price seemed fair to me based on other estimates. After scheduling a start date. Their team came out and finished the job (3 bedrooms, dining room, living room, hall, and stairs) in just 4 days. I was very happy with the entire experience. The efficiency, professionalism, and quality of work were impressive. I would recommend Modern Quality Flooring Inc. to anyone needing flooring services.

Danny and Modern Quality Flooring were great to work with! I felt comfortable having them in my home when I was out of town, and came home to new bedroom flooring! Highly professional and Danny and his team did an amazing job! Our original hardwood floors (over 100 years old) had not been refinished for over 25 years so we had lots of wear and tear and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to restore them. Danny reassured us that they could be restored and he was right! They did such a great job that they look brand new! They also did a great job explaining things as they went. I would highly recommend them!!!

They did an excellent job. Daniel showed us some samples of water based floor finishing as opposed to oil based. He described the process and suggested how long it would take and the precautions to give the best end results. The men who sanded, vaeuumed, and applied the finish were professional and did great work each day. The removal and replacement of furniture went very well too. Nothing was broken or scratched. I liked that Daniel phoned today and checked that we had placed pads on chair legs/feet so we wouldn’t scratch the floors like before. I love our floors. They feel brand new!

Danny and his staff at Modern Quality Flooring have delivered quality craftsmanship multiple times while working on floors in our home. They are always quick to deliver estimates, give reliable timelines, arrive early to complete their job, and do beautiful work. They have installed wood flooring throughout entire floors in our house, patched, sanded and stained existing hardwood, and are planning to install laminate flooring in our basement next. We trust them to guide us in all future flooring endeavors.

This is the second time I've contracted Danny and team. They did a wonderful job resurfacing the hardwoods in a previous condo. The new place is 100 years old and needed a lot more work to fully refinish. From estimate to finish, Danny was always responsive to my calls and questions. He gave excellent advice on what stain and finish to choose and the final product is absolutely amazing. I never thought I would love the look of a floor so much. The only downsides were not a reflection on Modern Quality Flooring, just some heads up for others who may be new to floor refinishing: 1. For some reason, the coats of finish took longer to dry than anticipated, so the job that was anticipated to take 4 days took about 7, but it worked out okay with our schedule. 2. The oil finish we chose will be the most durable, but if you're sensitive to the smell, it does require a lot of ventilation and takes weeks to fully air out.

Excellent workmanship. Professional and knows their job. Came on schedule and did what needed to be done. Price was competitive. No complaints; would recommend or re-hire again.

Danny and his crew did a fantastic job refinishing our first floor hardwoods. Right from the start Danny planned out a schedule with me that would allow them to get the job done quickly while also ensuring I didn't have to work around them during the day. Once they got going they worked hard in order to stick to the schedule and ensure everything finished on time. I was able to leave on vacation and come back to what feels like a new set of floors. Our hardwoods were in rough shape after 12+ years or wear and tear. Now they look and feel brand new. The house has a whole need feel to it. We will definitely be using Danny again when we decide we want to do our upstairs floors.

I am so grateful I used Modern Quality Flooring to repair my hardwood floors! Danny and his team were super responsive, communicative and efficient! A steam trap failed under my bedroom floor, causing the floors to buckle. I work from home, and had heard so many horror stories about contractors, dealing with no-shows, supply delays and escalating costs that I was nervous to begin the project, even though it was covered by insurance. Danny and his team were incredible though. Danny came out for an estimate the day after I called, and the project was fully done two weeks later. They were significantly less expensive than the other quotes I’d received, and I know the workmanship and customer service was superior. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Danny and team did a phenomenal job laying down luxury laminate flooring in our condo’s basement. We are thrilled with how it turned out. Danny took a look at our basement, and knew right away the best flooring to go with. The samples he brought over were beautiful and the quality of the luxury laminate is outstanding. On the day of installation the crew did an outstanding job. They finished the job in record time, even with some unexpected issues (our floor was not level, we needed trim, etc). Everyone was extremely polite and communication was great. In addition the team noticed a few things around our place that needed fixing (wobbly door, broken floorboard upstairs) and took care of them for no charge. I can’t imagine having a better experience and wholeheartedly recommend Modern Quality Flooring for your home projects.

The work was fairly priced and the quality and efficiency exceeded expectations. I would not hesitate to use Modern Quality Flooring again when we need recarpeting for some of our rooms next Spring. We are VERY satisfied customers.

From start to finish Danny and his team did an excellent job. They wew polite and moved furniture and cleaned up each day. They did excellent work on my floor and I love it. Definitely would hire again. If you need flooring, these guys are the best.

Danny & his team were excellent, extremely quick & provided us with beautiful hardwood flooring throughout our new home in Berwyn. He was punctual & on time despite us being a bit far away from their location. He & his team were extremely friendly & happy to explain the refinishing process, as well as giving us advice & product names for maintaining & cleaning our hardwood floors to keep their beautiful appearance. Danny is a bit short with communication, though this was a sign for us that he wanted to make sure he got our project done as soon as possible to make our lives easier, since we were moving into the house less than a week after they finished work

I rarely write reviews and am delighted to do so here: Danny and his team were excellent and went above and beyond. We hired them to refinish two bedroom floors and throughout the process, Danny was helpful, informative and a clear expert. When he arrived for the estimate, he gave me helpful pointers on my floors in general (like using felt pads), which was appreciated. Afterwards, he was able to squeeze me in for the job over the weekend. His estimate was not the lowest I received but it was fair and I was happy to pay a bit more for his experience and largely dustless approach to refinishing. His team was prompt, careful, and attentive to detail — using drop cloths and even fixing minor imperfections in other floors. I highly recommend them and would hire them again in an instant!

I am renovating a condo here in Chicago and needed new hardwood floors. I received a few different quotes from companies in the area, but Danny blew them all out of the water. This is the first renovation that I have done and one thing that I've learned is that you don't know what you don't know. Danny came in and immediately started giving solutions/options to some of the issues I was having and even pointing out things that I wasn't aware of. He was very responsive and his team was extremely efficient and professional while installing the new hardwood floors. They look absolutely incredible and I couldn't of asked for a better experience.

They did an incredible job, far more then I had expected. We were going to have a vinyl laminate installed but we decided to have Modern refinish and repair existing. In the end we saved $1000 and it looks like brand new hardwood flooring
