Description of Work: Danny sent the quote and offered to fix the broken flooring the same day. Quote was reasonable. Arriving as agreed upon, the technician went over all work to be done and completed the work quickly. The area was cleaned and the floor secure. I definitely recommend these guys. They are pros!

Description of Work: Dan and his employees sanded the kitchen floor, pantry and enclosed porch. Dan was punctual and very professional. He and his crew were neat and completely the job on a timely basis. the job was very good and I love my Kitchen and enclosed floors, there were two small hairs, but not fault of them, but Dan removed them and put, buffed the entire Kitchen and he added an extra coat of varnish. Dan was very polite as well as his employees. I am asking him to come back for another room.

Description of Work: Refinished first floor wood floors. Moved large pieces of furniture and a week later came to move them back. Excellent work, trust worthy and would definitely use them again. Description of Work: I bought the deal to have my hardwood floors sanded and refinished. The floors had about twenty years of wear on them prior to the refinishing project. The refinishing crew arrived promptly and worked efficiently to complete the work. Afterwards, the floors looked great. I would recommend them.

Description of Work: Refinished and repaired hardwood floors. A previous tenant's dogs had severely damaged the floors to the point that some boards needed to be replaced. Danny did a great job- the floors look great and you can't even tell which areas were replaced. They were very punctual and even shoveled my walk when I was late to get to the house to let them in due to a major snowstorm.

Description of Work: Demo'd existing and built and tiled new shower and bathroom. We cannot say enough positive things about MQF's work and the results. We hired MQF for this project based on the strength of the hardwood flooring work they had done for us on two separate occasions. Although the MQF website does not mention tile or renovation, Danny told us they do a lot of this work. The results are the proof. They are as good as MQF's flooring work. Very pleased. Stop looking now and hire MQF for your tiling and renovation project.

+ -1 moreDanny was great. He was on time in getting the floors done when he said he would and professional. Our floors look amazing. He actually stained to small places on the floor with different colors so we could see how they actually looked on our wood. We actually have 3 different kinds of wood and Danny was able to make it all look really lovely. He was very clear about the process. Although we took everything out of the cupboards because we were worried about the dust, we didn't need to. There was really VERY little dust when he was finished. He had to repair a number of boards and you can't even tell. We will definitely use Danny in the future.

+ -1 moreThis team was awesome .They arrived promptly at 7am were polite and immediately brought in equipment & began prepping covering with plastic removing items from walls etc. answered my questions gave me time frames and we were good to go Took roughly 5 hrs. I and my little girl ( who is a kitten) left the house on the 2nd I returned in the morning of the 3rd for obvious reasons I was kept informed of the progress a couple of times in the day. They had me come for a quick look see to see if I was satisfied This team did a beautiful job and would indeed recommend them. GREAT WORK GUYS

Danny was so clear and helpful--really knows his business .Ricardo and Luis did beautiful work and were hard working. Getting help with the furniture was a real plus.. We were hoping the floors were beautiful, but the job Modern Quality did far exceeded our expectations. The floors look exquisite! We would highly recommend Modern Quality without reservation.
Description of Work: I called Modern Quality to have an estimate on refinishing our living room, dining room and hall floors (about 550 sq ft). Danny called me back that day and we made an arrangement for him to come over that day as well. He sent me an estimate the next day and we agreed on the job. We also needed help moving 4 heavy pieces of furniture that Danny said he would help with and put in the estimate. The job was scheduled shortly thereafter. He and Ricardo and Luis came right on time (7am) on a Tuesday morning. They moved the furniture we needed help with (we had moved everything else ourselves) and began the process of stripping the floor with a professional machine that sucked the dust in it as it stripped the floor. Amazing! They put on one coat of stain that we had chosen from Danny's samples. Then they put on a coat of some kind of sealant. Danny, Ricardo nd Luis came the next morning as agreed to finish the job, but it needed more drying, so they came back that afternoon.The second and third coat of sealant was put on and everything cleaned up beautifully. We need to let it dry another day. After the floor dried, we scheduled a time for them to come back to help put back the 4 heavy pieces of furniture.

+ -1 moreDaniel and two other staff members of MODERN QUALITY FLOORING CO came very early (~7:00 AM) in the morning and have done the work in roughly 5 hours.The service was provided in a very professional way, which covered even the Pantry in the Kitchen and Closet in the Hallway. After finishing sanding the whole area, two coating has been applied with Satin surface on top. I was very happy to see that the old floor looked like a brand new one with beautiful bright color on the hardwood. This is part of the work in my Kitchen remodeling project this year and MODERN QUALITY FLOORING CO has done a great job with good quality on it (and a very reasonable price as well :-)). I would be happy to recommend them to any of my friend who may need similar type of service in the future.

+ 0 moreI bought the Big Deal for refinishing my hardwood floor from Danny with Modern Quality Flooring. He contacted me right away after purchasing the deal. It took a little while to get a date set up for the service because of the busy spring break time of the year, but Danny worked with me to come up with a time that worked for us both. He and his crew showed up on time, which I really appreciated. It's almost rare these days for a service to show up on time. They did an absolutely great job. They put up plastic around the room to prevent dust from escaping to other rooms. There was not a speck of dust anywhere when they finished the job. And the floor looked fantastic. We had some deep grooves in the floor from moving heavy furniture, but these were all sanded out and you would never have known they had been there. They finished the job on time, in fact a bit early, which allowed me to meet other commitments. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I've had with a service company and I highly recommend them.

+ 0 moreIt went very well - living out of our basement for a few days wasn't too bad. Danny, the owner, is very easy to work with and makes every effort to please his customers. He helped work out the logistics of working on one half of our house at a time to minimize the movement of our furniture and eliminate the need to rent a storage unit. He checked back with us after providing the estimate to make sure we got the best deal on Angie's List. He confirmed the start date and time and reviewed the plan for what would be done on both days of work. It required a lot of furniture moving, so Danny even had his crew assist with that to get the job done faster. Louis and Ricardo were prompt, neat and efficient. This is the second time we've worked with Danny, the first being the only other time we've had our floors stripped and refinished 13 years ago. I'm happy to say that we will continue to recommend Modern Quality Flooring to our friends and neighbors.

+ 0 moreWe should have gone with Modern Quality Flooring from the beginning but found a "great deal" with an up and coming flooring guy. BIG MISTAKE. We called Modern Quality back to have them try to come and fix the botched job. They came in, were very professional, tsk tsked the job that was performed, and got to work making it all better. My husband and I were so relieved that they were able to fix our floors. They were patient, took the time to show us our color options (we decided to go with a different color than what we originally thought we wanted), but once we chose the color, they were super quick. Did a wonderful job, our floors look great now. We couldn't be happier. We brought out 4 companies for estimates...Modern Quality was the 2nd most reasonable price (next to the the price the botched guys gave us). We have a condo to update and will be looking to them for the floors.

+ 3 moreAfter I bought my house in late 2011, I hired MQF to install/refinish hardwood floors. I was so pleased with both the results (which have since drawn lots of compliments) and the ease of working with Danny on the floors project that I began working with him and his crew on many other things, ranging from installing new ceiling fans to rehauling my master bathroom. His quote to repaint the interior of the house was substantially less expensive than other quotes I received, and including a larger scope of work. As it turned out, I worked with Danny over a period of months and he was always on time, courteous and responsive. I grew to trust his opinion and never once felt like he was trying to up sell or over sell me on anything.
Description of Work: Installed new hardwood floors on upper level of my home, sanded and refinished floor on lower level. Removed old kitchen backsplash and installed new one. Installed new marble floor on powder room. Remodeled master bath, including replacing the vanity, shower fixtures and all tile. Whole-house interior paint job. Replaced all electrical switches and plates throughout house. Installed two ceiling fans, bathroom light fixtures, and a kitchen light fixture.
