Very professional. Promptly responded to my message on Angie's List, gave an estimate, honored the Angie's List discount, and did the work on the proposed date and took the proposed amount of time. The floors looked great. I thought he was a little pricey (hence the B for that), as his estimate was more than the other estimates, but perhaps he does a better job than others.

We didn't end up hiring this contractor but the estimate process and follow up was excellent.

Arrived right on time. Worked very hard, very conscientious. Impressed by their attention to detail. Very polite. Floors look beautiful. Couldn't be happier.

The floors look fabulous and I was completely surprised that there was NO DUST anywhere. I had been warned by so many people what a nightmare I would come home to after refinishing the floors and I came home to no dust and beautiful floors. They came right when they said they would and got the job done in the time promised. (They also came out quickly when we called for a quote). Plus, they were extremely flexible and worked over the weekend, (Thur-Sun) so we coordinated it with a weekend trip we had already planned. We moved the furniture ourselves but they took down doors and window treatments and covered everything in plastic. I didn't get multiple quotes because my neighbor below us had the same thing done and quoted several and said their estimate was the lowest. It was also right on par with our insurance claim. I would recommend them to anyone, I could not be happier with our new floors!

I called Modern Quality Flooring and within 8 hours, I had received a call back. I explained what I would like to have done and Danny set up a time to meet with me for an estimate the next day. He was on time and well prepared to measure, provide stain samples and pictures of previous jobs and expert advice on what would be the best way to blend together an existing wood floor (entry way) with a newly-added wood floor (living room) without ripping up part of the old floor to stagger boards for a match and would save us some money. He called it a "transition piece" that would be flush with the floor and give a subtle separation of the two rooms. The estimate was sent to us via email within 48 hours. It was a reasonable price compared to other estimates we had received, but Danny had a more professional approach. I had one company give me an estimate over the phone without seeing the floor! We agreed on the estimate and signed a contract. We knew we had to be out of the house for a few days as this was the main traffic area through the house. We had removed the old carpet and tacks on our own, and moved out all the furniture. Danny offers carpet removal and haul-away but we chose to do it ourselves. The day of the project (Monday), Danny and his crew were there ready to go. I packed up my last-minute things in the car and Danny's crew were already unloading the new floor from the truck. I was to meet back at the house with Danny to pick a stain color by mid day. When I came back to the house, the old floor was sanded, the new floor was installed and sanded, AND he had 3 stain samples closest to the color I had previously requested. He wanted to make sure I loved the color while I compared it to other shades. Danny didn't have a piece of wood stained for me to look at - the 3 colors were actually on the floor itself so I could get a very accurate look with the natural light of my house. I chose my favorite and he and his crew went to work. Danny called me on Tuesday afternoon and said that everything was done and ready for inspection. This included staining the entire wood floor and 3 coats of commercial grade sealer. WOW! We moved back in on Wednesday afternoon. Danny said it would take approximately 5 days for the floor sealant to actually cure. We could walk on the floor but no heavy shoes, no rugs and the dogs could not run on the floor (they were able to walk on it). We were able to put the furniture back the next day. Danny did warn us that the stain and sealant smell may linger for a day or two, but we were lucky enough to be able to open up the windows, which helped. A lot of people are concerned about the sanding of the floor and coming home to an inch of dust everywhere. That is not what happened to us. The kitchen was very clean and pretty much dust free. The cabinets had a slight amount in the corners, as did our family room end tables, but nothing more than a few days' worth of dust that you would find if you hadn't dusted your house that week. I'm a clean freak and Danny and his crew kept it pretty much dust free. The entire job was clean and professional and I never had doubts of leaving Danny and his crew in my house while I was gone. There were no hidden costs and no gimmicks. I told them what I wanted my floors to look like and Danny delivered! It has been 2 weeks now and I am in LOVE with my floors. Danny was a true professional in every way and his "crew" were very considerate and friendly. I have had my neighbors in to see my floor and they are going to give Modern Quality Flooring a call for their hardwood floors.

We absolutely love the work that Danny did on our floors. Our floors had deep gashes in the kitchen area (you wouldn't be able to tell now), and we also wanted to match the color as closely as possible to the hardwood floors upstairs. Danny was able to refinish our floors to our specifications AND was able to do it as soon as possible, which allowed us to move into our new home on schedule. We really appreciated not only his work but he was mindful of the fact that I was currently suffering from this year's seasonal allergies and didn't need another thing to worsen it. Also, by completing our floors ahead of time .... we were able to let the floor cure and air out. Since moving in...we've had several compliments on our hardwood floors and we wish we could post our pictures of our hardwood floors with this review.

When I first reached out to Danny through a referral from our realtor, he scheduled a consultation quickly and was able to provide a quote the next day. I had forgotten to mention that I was an Angie's List member but Danny went out of his way to make sure that we got the discount. We also had a damaged side board in the kitchen and Danny said that if we supplied a baseboard, he would install it at no cost. Danny and his team showed up right on time and when promised, and everything was completed in the timeframe he specified in the quote. We were actually going out of the country the day the job started, so when he was finished Danny took pictures of everything and emailed them to us so we could see how everything turned out. It was a great benefit of working with Danny to know that everything was done and to see the finished product while we were out of town so we knew we had nothing to worry about. The floors look fantastic and the new baseboard flows perfectly to the rest of the room. We are very happy to have used Modern Quality Flooring and will definitely use them again whenever we have any flooring needs!

My experience with them was wonderful. They are very professional. I interviews a lot of people and the only reason I went with them is because they were accredited with the BBB and they had an A+. They left my place really clean and they fast. My floors looks amazing. They were a little more expensive then the other companies but I wanted someone that was accredited with the BBB.

They did an excellent job and were on time, professional and didn't make a mess in my house. There was very minimal dust. I was thrilled. I would strongly recommend them! My mother-in-law will probably be calling them shortly to refinish her floors. She stopped by my house while they were doing the floors and was so impressed that she wants to use them too.

Floors looked really great! We wanted to have the floors finished before we moved into our new place and they really worked well under the time crunch and everything looked amazing when they were finished. Would definitely recommend!

On time, laid walking tarps, covered wall areas and got to work. Workers were all business and got the job done well and quickly. Owner, (Danny) was present throughout, very personable and professional. Even gave us a new bottle of Bona hardwood floor cleaner. To say I got my Big Deal's money's worth would be an understatement. Great experience throughout. Will absolutely use them again for a coming larger project.

. I purchased deal in January and informed Modern Flooring that I wanted work done in late March or April to allow me to remove carpeting and furniture. Danny came by in mid-April, checked the floors without carpet and we scheduled for 5/3/14, Saturday 7:A. Danny called early on Friday 5/2/14, and asked if they could start on Friday around 12:N, agreed and they did. Completed most of sanding by 6:P. Came back on Saturday at approx, 10:A, finished sanding and finishing by 2:30P., Team of two did great job. Danny came by on Saturday AM and then called in evening to give me details on how to deal with the floors. Due to an Angie's Deal, the price was outstanding. I am very pleased with overall cost which beat out two other bids which did not include finishing the stairs. Ten days have passed, floors are dry and look great. I have already recommended Modern Flooring to family and friends.

The deal was listed as sanding and refinishing but the actual service was for something called "screening". I needed my floors sanded and refinished. I got a refund on the deal.

When I contacted MQF, I was immediately impressed by how promptly my call was returned and an appointment was made. Danny arrived promptly, reviewed the project and sent me an quote via email immediately. I liked MQF because I found Danny very professional and clearly knew his stuff, but I didn't feel pressured to complete the job to suit his timeline. Danny was able to refer me to painting and cleaning services, and he coordinated with the former to make the process smooth and problem-free. He consistently informed me of time estimates and dependencies so that my expectations were on track with his. I recommend MQF without reservation.

I bought a "Big Deal" and was contacted by Danny right away. Because we were having the word done in our kitchen there was a slight upcharge to sand around the cabinets and island. Watching them do that part I can tell you they earned every penny! Great experience. They arrived on time, and were very professonal. They scraped around my kitchen cabinets on their hands and knees to prepare the surface for staining. They also filled any gaps between boards and smoothed out some ripples from water damage. They did a great job matching the stain to adjoining rooms of wood flooring. I would definitely use them again.

First class professional service from start to finish. A single phone call resulted in a prompt, visit and a reasonable estimate. Danny was easy to communicate with and went out of his way to accommodate our requests and our schedule. Crew arrived on time and worked nonstop until the job was completed. There was surprisingly little dust despite the sanding, and the smell was not at all overpowering. They left a few windows slightly open, then took the trouble to come back and close them a few hours later when it started to rain. And what a result: our floors look amazing. We opted for a satin (not glossy) finish and could not be more pleased with the outcome and the entire experience. Our hardwood floors look like new and will be a tremendous asset when we put our house up for sale as planned. There really were no problems at all during the entire process. Would hire Modern Quality Flooring again in a heartbeat.

They did come out. They did the area for the price of the Big Deal and I was happy with it.

I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Modern Quality Flooring. They took our original wood floors that were nearly 100 years old and made them look brand new. Danny is an expert in his field and worked diligently to complete the job on schedule. He kept me up to date on his progress every step of the way and the end result exceeded my highest expectation. My experience with Modern Quality Flooring Co. on the job was very good. The work was excellent. They were responsive. They cleaned up. We barely saw them. We actually left for a week while they were just starting their work but they worked around our schedule at a busy time. What stood out to me the most with Modern Quality Flooring Co. was the fact that they were willing to come at a strange hour on the day after Christmas in order to be here before we left for our trip. With the coupons, they are certainly an A for price.

They refinished our back family room and dining room floors. In addition to the refinishing they replaced a few boards. They completed the work in one day. They did a great job and got a big stain out of the wood that we were not expecting to get out. They floors look great.

It turned out okay. It was just the minimal amount of work. I don't think they went the extra mile on it. They did an acceptable job for the money. They charged exactly what they said they were going to charge. They did what they said they were going to.

Both jobs were done on time and exceeded our expectations.

Danny came over when I purchased a $99.00 Angie's List Deal. He inspected the damage, explained that sanding would not fix the problem because the floor was wet and warping. He cut a 2' x 4' hole in the floor and had me run a dehumidifier for 30 days to draw out the water and dry the wood. Danny's crew came on the 18th and pulled out all of the bad boards, changed the floor insulation (which I purchased at his direction), and then sanded and stained the floor. On the 19th Danny and his crew came back, resanded the floor and recoated the area. This morning the floor is beautiful and matches our existing floor perfectly!! I recommend Modern Quality Flooring to anyony looking for repairs to be done correctly, promptly, and at a fair price.
