We were working on an extremely tight timeline as we were moving in to our new place two weeks after meeting Danny for the first time. We got several quotes and Danny was the only one that told us specifics about how things would be done (install, coloring, finishing and cleanup). The others that we received were along the lines of "we'll just do it", so we really didn't know what services we would be paying for. Luckily Danny had the capacity to start the following week. Once the carpet removal was done and the the new wood was installed it was a huge help that he let us pick 4 or 5 colors and then applied samples to the floor on both the existing hardwood and new hard wood so that we could see exactly what the final color would look like. This was much better than having to pick a color from a color book and hope that the end result would look the same. They did a great job refinishing the existing hardwood as well. I was worried that they might not get to hard to reach areas so some spots might not be covered, but they got everything. I was surprised how little dust they made as well. Their sander is either truly dustless or they did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. At the end he came by to show us how to care for the floor, protect it and keep it looking great. We're extremely happy we chose Danny and his crew and won't hesitate to make them our first choice in the future.

Absolutely beautiful job. On time, and Danny went out of his way to meet our schedule. He picked up the phone every time we called and has great follow through. Very helpful with decision making on finishes. The crew was polite and the home was left very clean. Zero dust. Professional. Friendly. Fair. Will use again. Highly recommend.

They did a great job and the floors are beautiful. Danny answered questions I had and explained the process. They finished the floors faster than expected - in only one day which I was very pleased with. The pricing was reasonable and they cleaned up as well. I would go with them again for any flooring services in the future and recommend them to others.

First, Danny was highly responsive, returning phone calls and giving me an estimate right away. His estimate was right in line with another estimate I received, and half the price of a third estimate. He then was great at being available when I needed them, as the company I initially hired for the job had forgotten to put me on their calendar. Danny and his workmen used drop cloths on my stairway and hall upstairs, as well as the entry to the stairs to minimize any impact from their equipment. The dustless sanding process was great, and my floors are beautiful. Danny was careful to apply a sample of the stain so that I could confirm its matching the hallway leading into the room. All the workers were very respectful of maintaining the surrounding space and did a great job reinstalling my closet built-ins, which they removed in order to get to the entire floor. The process was completed in 3 days, and they were careful to allow the finish to dry prior to applying the 2nd and 3rd coats. Danny was very easy to work with, and while he missed calling to give me arrival times a few days, he was easily reached by phone to confirm start times. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the job, would definitely use him again and highly recommend his services in refinishing wood floors!

From the very first contact through to completion of the installation I found Danny extremely professional, personable and easy to work with. The project was a small one but every detail was approached with a clear desire to deliver exemplary service. The installation process was explained to me carefully and included all details that would ensure the best possible outcome. My new flooring looks exactly as I had hoped it would. Danny was prompt, efficient and got the job done in the allotted time and the floors look brand new. Having worked with many contractors for different projects, we couldn't have asked for better service or quality.

Danny was wonderful, professional and punctual. The floor look like new, no trace of the damage that had been there.

They did a fantastic job! I was under a time crunch once tenants moved out and I saw that the floors needed repair. Danny came out the same day I called him. He really seemed to know what he was doing, took measurements with a laser tape measure, and pointed out areas where the floor needed to be repaired. I explained the time crunch I was under (since painters were already scheduled for the end of the week), and he was able to get a crew in that repaired and sanded my 1800 sq ft unit and put down 3 coats of finish over the next few days. Danny was extremely conscientious, explaining when the floors could be walked on, and how they should be cared for. I could not be happier with their service and price, given the job that needed to be done.

They did an excellent job!! Danny and his team were professional and easy to work with. They paid attention to detail and took pride in their work. Modern flooring utilizes a machine that minimizes the dust which kept the place clean. I received quotes from three other vendors but I decided to go with Modern Flooring because Danny was very knowledgeable and provided me with information that the other vendors didn't. Danny was honest and up-front and he provided a detailed estimate.

Danny provided, by far, the most detailed estimate and was the most knowledgeable of all from whom we solicited bids. He also provided references, including realtors, who gave MQF great reviews. We wanted someone who was both an expert and would work well in a high rise environment in small spaces. Modern Quality performed flawlessly. They took old, yellowed hardwood flooring and in one week's time made it a warm Spice Brown color, having sanded away the old finish and repaired all damage to the floors. They protected all cabinets and vents with plastic and used a dust collection method that left nearly no dust in the condo. Bottom line: beautiful work, great people. A pleasure to do business with MQF; if we have floors in the future which need refinishing, I'd call MQF without hesitation.

I decided to go with Danny and his team at Modern Quality flooring because I felt they were upfront and honest and actually informed me about some additional costs/issues that I think a couple other contractors left out to keep their quote down. Danny wasn't the least expensive but I feel that I got more than I paid for. He did an exquisite job on the floors they look absolutely amazing. Danny encountered some issues with the condo associations rules revolving around a fire door and not being able to cut it down. He informed me of my options and made sure to come up with a solution that would appease both myself and the condo association. THey also finished the job 4 days early. Danny was always easy to communicate with me and made sure the workers were making steady progress.

I called Danny to refinish my wood floors which were in really bad shape from years of wear with three dogs. I had a very short timeframe to work with and Danny was able to accommodate me and he and his team worked Saturday and Sunday to finish the job. They were prompt and professional and my floors came out like they were new! I would highly recommend him and his company as they truly take pride in their work and it shows!

One of the most professional wood flooring service providers I came across, after meeting with at least 3 others in person. Modern Quality Flooring provided me an evaluation and estimate via email with photos of the areas in question. And, was the only provider to acknowledge the decent existing condition and a mere "touch up" solution, which would be gentler on the floors and cheaper. A crew of three came out to buff and single coat the stairs a few days later. They were a bit late (traffic), but professional. They brought in tarps, used high quality sealant, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Most important, the stairs looked new, and the dark area at the bottom blended in with the surroundings. I could not be around the whole time, so they texted me photos once they were done, and ventilated the house afterwards. We were pleased with the results and service.

I had this company refinish my living room floor on a Big Deal, and they did a fabulous job. The guy in charge told me thety might not be able to get out some stains (the floors needed refinishing 30 years ago when we moved in but we finally managed to get it done) but the floor came out spectacular, no stains. So I hired them to do my kitchen floor some months later. This time, it seemed as though the guys were in a hurry. There were stains in a couple of places-- the house is almost 100 years old and the maple kitchen floors appeared to have been under linoleum ever since they were put in, and never varnished. They did not get the stains out, though maybe they tried, I'm not sure. Later, I had a problem with the grain rising (I guess) so that the edges of the planks caught dirt and felt rough. They came out and re-buffed the floor and I've had no further problem. They used oil-based varnish on one of the floors and water-based on the other but I have no idea why. In any case, both floors are gorgeous and I guess the stains are just part of the "character" of a house this old. Much much better than linoleum!

I would recommend Modern Quality Flooring to anyone who needs a hardwood floor refinished. Danny and the men who work for him provide the utmost in high quality service. The job was reasonably priced, and the finished product was outstanding. Very professional and courteous workers.

Danny did a great job matching the new wood to the existing floor while maintaining the modern style I was looking for. The crew was very conscientious of working in a home with pets and young children. Having your floors done is always inconvient, but Modern Quality made the process go as smoothly as possible by working around our schedule and even moving our belongings back in place after the job was finished. The whole experience with Modern Quality Flooring was great, from start to finish. Danny and his crew worked extremely hard to achieve a beautiful new floor. It looks so good, my wife and I didn't even want to walk on it. Danny is honest and hardworking, he cares about the final product and overall satisfaction of the customer. Work started on the date that was promised and finished on time as well. They did a good job covering and taping cabinets, etc. to minimize the mess--so much so that we've hardly had any clean up work afterwards. Danny and the crew were very professional and the floors are absolutely beautiful. When we needed some other services (moving furniture, plumber, etc.) they were able to arrange this as well make it all very easy for us. We are thrilled and would highly recommend Modern Quality Flooring.

Danny and his team were very responsive and put together a solid professional proposal. They worked with us to find the solution that made sense for us. They are very focused on delivering a quality product and did a great job installing beautiful hardwood floors. They also completed the project early which allowed our house sale and move to go smoothly. We would definitely use Modern Quality Flooring again and are very happy with their work.

Danny was professional from start to finish. He was extremely responsive, flexible is his availability to come for a quote, and the team performed all of their work on time. The house looked brand new by the time they were finished! On top of everything, we were surprised to see that the team had sanded and stained the floor of a large closet that wasn't included in the original quote, at no cost to us. My only complaint is that they would not stain the bannister on the stairway, so that will be a project for us to complete on our own.

Everything went perfect from the first consultation to the final work. We weren't sure if we needed to have the floors completely refinished or just screened, but Danny was honest with me and told me that a polish would refresh the floors and and full refinish was unnecessary. I appreciated his honesty and how fantastic the final product was. Our floors look so fresh and new and we definitely didn't need to spend the extra money on a full refinish. Even the areas that had deeper scratches look great (although one is still visible, but not bothersome - Danny did let me know it probably would not come out because of how deep it was). I had to tell my husband which stair was replaced because they did such a great job matching the stain. The work took approximately 5 hours to complete and we could walk on the floors with socks the next day which worked perfect with our move in timeline. Overall, great experience!

They were prompt. I had plan to match my existing floor but their products did not appear to be a good match- disappointing. They were in a hurry and they were not happy that I failed to completely empty the room. We went ahead. It was finished with a good final result.

Danny was great to work with. Would recommend him and his team highly. His team arrived on time and were polite and hard working. The hardwood floors in the living room were very stained and did not think they could be sanded enough to remove the stains. After they sanded the floors they looked great. Very pleased. It was dust free. They applied a natural wood stain and it came out beautiful. Would use Danny and his team again in the future.

Danny was great to work with and I would recommend him to any of my friends and family. He wasn't our cheapest estimate, but we went with him because of his responsiveness and knowledgeability. We had a hard time picking a stain color, but he was very patient and put down as many samples as we needed to make a decision. His team was on time and worked with us on a tight schedule. He even gave me advice on how to refinish the stair bannisters myself (I had decided to do that myself due to cost). Our floors really look brand new! We're very glad we decided to hire Modern Quality Flooring.

His team put plastic over the kitchen cabinets and there was very little dust. Left no trace of job related trash and Danny even helped me move a few heavy items after the walk through.
