Precision Door Service

Agent was on time and performed service promptly.

Called Precision Door Service and the serviceman was at our home with in 90 minutes. He finished the repairs with in an hour. They did a great job!

He is the highest. Very knowledgeable , friendly and did an excellent job. I would recommend him to anyone.

Called Precision Door Service Monday morning due to my garage door not working properly. Technician arrived within 5 hrs and quickly diagnosed and fixed the door. The technician was knowledgeable, pleasant and and answered all of my questions. The garage door is old; however, the technician did not push the sale of a new door. He gave me tips of ways to keep the door running smoothly. I've used this company in the past with the same excellent service. HIghly recommend this company!

Provider came out and indicated that the door was in too bad of shape to repair. Gave me options and also told me other places I could get the service performed. Very honest.

After looking at the door, they informed me that I actually need a new garage door and that I don't need a tune-up. Because they weren't able to do anything today, they didn't charge me for coming out. They were wonderful and very honest and straight-forward and were so nice.

I thought it was a bait and switch. He started telling me this has to be done and that has to be done, it was totally unexpected. He came to do A and then decided I needed B, C, and D. I would tell family and friends to be careful. I had them do some work for me in Michigan, the guy was wonderful, he did what he said he would do, and he charged me what he said it was going to cost. This guy was hell bent on telling me my life was in danger because my door wasn't staying in the right position, so he scared me. I don't want the garage door come crashing down on anybody. The price originally was very good, and that is why I did it. The garage door still works. The responsiveness was very good, and he had a lot to gain by responding very quickly. He gained your trust, and then said you have to do this and you have to do that. I don't blame him if that is the way they do business.

He was a very nice guy. He was helpful. He explained everything to me thoroughly and provided good information. He instructed me to use silicone spray as opposed to WD-40 as the WD-40 can cause rust issues.

It was good. They completed the work and basically gave me some information regarding maintenance on the door so it was really helpful. There were a couple of issues which I was able to resolve with them as well but they eventually had the work done. It took a couple of times to reach them back. There was no extra cost. It was a reasonable price.

After I purchased the deal, I received a reply to set up the appointment very quickly. The office staff was pleasant and since this was my first experience dealing with anyone through Angie's List I was feeling pretty good about signing up by buying the Angies List membership. My appointment was to take place between 9 and 11 o'clock. Great! I only needed to be out of the office for a half a day. On the scheduled day of the appointment, I received a phone and was told that the appointment would be delayed until around noon. I was told that there was an emergency from a women who was trapped in her garage (?!) and the garage door would not open. Although I had plans of getting into work after noon time, being a gentlemen, I did agree to the delay in my appointment due to a women in distress. The first delay then turned into another delay after another phone call. Apparently, there were problems in fixing that door and Precision would be getting to my house closer to 1 to 2. I wish that the time delay was the final and only problem. After all, Precision finally made it out on at least the day the appointment was scheduled if not the time. When Caleb arrived, he was pleasant and apologetic. I left him in the garage to do the work and heard the garage door going up and back down several times. I went back into the garbage and was shown that the rollers were replaced and told that the tune up was done. At a glance, from inside the garbage, all looked good. After I signed off and Precision left, I went back inside the house, feeling at least the garage door was adaquetly done. Around an hour to two later, I went outside to move the car back into the garage. As I pulled up on the driveway, I saw what appeared to be splatters over the front of the garage door. Forgive the bluntness, but being rather anal about the neatness of things, I quickly jumped out and went to look at this splatters. I opened the garbage door and looked closer at the floor as well as the area around the rails. The lube apparently was not grease but must have been silicone spray. After close inspection is was EVERYWHERE. The opening and closing of the garage door was done by Precsion to spread the silicone spray on the metal tracks. Unfortunately, by doing that the silicone went EVERYWHERE, including the front of the garage door where the center rail is. Wanting to call and yell at Precision, my wife stopped me. I went back outside to the front of my house, to stare and cringe at what was my clean and now discolored door thanks to the silicone drops as my wife googled how to remove silicone spray from metal (garage door). As I already had known, she said that there was NOTHING to remove the marks which numbered over 50 large droppings. My garage door looks horrible. The silicone shows up like glossy drops on my taupe door. When the sun hits the door, it is even more noticeable. My wife, ever the optimist, convinced me that in time it will fade. This has not happened. They are, to me, more noticeable. What absolutely irritates me is that I hired professionals, Precision, who I believed knew what they where doing. At my previous house, I had the company which put in my garage door, return a few years later to do the tune up. They used, what I know should be used, a silicone grease all over the track. Done this way nothing gets splattered. NOT BY USING A SILICONE SPRAY AND THEN HAVE THE DOOR GO UP AND DOWN TO SPREAD THE SPRAY WHICH IS WHAT PRECISION DID ALLOWING THE SPRAY TO DRIP. SPRAY WILL DRIP!!! News flash...SPRAY GOES EVERYWHERE! Although my lawnmower, and some lawn chairs as well as the garage floor has splatters, no one will see that except me and my wife. The front of my house, my garage door is different. Everyone sees it either passing by or driving up on by drive way. A few months later, even my wife finally admits that the only way to correct this would be to have the door repainted. My attempt at saving some money by hiring, the first time ever on Angie's List, a "professional" company to do a simple garage tune up will turn out to be a very expensive purchase. I was NOT going to write this review. It makes me sick to think about what this will cost me to have my garage door look the way it did on the morning of July 16, 2015, prior to Precision, but I continually, receive emails from Angie's List asking me to do this review. So there, you finally, have it.

Amy arranged for a Sunday service call and gave me a 4 hour time frame when Danny would arrive. I received an email with all the particulars but one thing that I thought was exceptional was that there were pictures of their technicians, so that you could familiarize yourself with the person coming to your home. Danny arrived within the time frame and completed his work in approximately 1 and a half hours. He was cordial, knowledgeable and presented himself in a professional manner. He was willing to answer questions and relaid information about the opener/springs.

It worked out well. There were no extra costs to the deal. They were good guys. They call to let me know if they're running late.

Overall it went well. Garage door was much quieter after servicing. We did have some issues with the garage door not closing properly afterwards, but I called and they helped me work through the problem (had to do with the sensors).

There were additional charges because there was something else that needed to be fixed with the garage. I probably ended up paying over $200 for whatever they needed to fix. It was something with the motor. So, it ended up being more, just because I needed something else done. I felt like it was too expensive for what was being done. I couldn't get done what I needed, just with the deal. They seemed nice enough.

They were really good. They also told me that the gears on my current garage door opener are getting bad and to replace them if I see a good one.

Gentleman (very very nice young man) came did all the work called me for my credit card number so I wouldn't have to take off work. Also installed special brackets because it was different than my other opener. Also I saved $200.00 by going through Angie's list for the new plastic wheels. My neighbor also had Precision Door and has nothing but excellent things to say about this Company.

Fast service...called at 7 p.m. and they were there the next morning. Our car is no longer being held hostage in the garage.

Corey arrived when promised, was efficient, professional, and thorough. I was pleasantly surprised at the things he inspected, and he lubricated every single thing that moves - even the hinges. Before the door would clatter and bind up. It sometimes took several clicks to get the door to go all the way up or down. Now it's whisper-quiet and smooth.

Very prompt and professional. Friendly technician, who was very responsive to questions. Good service at a good price, using discount coupon. Note that this service was very specific and limited - a single technician visit and no additional work or supplies were covered under the coupon offer.
