Description of Work: The big deal was for a gas log fireplace tune-up, cleaning, and inspection from Jiminy Chimney Sweep & Service which included inspecting the fireplace for safe operation, a thorough cleaning of all major parts and a thorough cleaning and re-installation of existing logs on my vent free gas fireplace. | |They were very quick to responds with setting up an appointment and the technician, Joe, was very personable and explained what he would do. I'd been concerned about the odor from the logs and hadn't been using the fireplace. He explained they are not regular gas logs and explained the proper way to burn them - turn on high for 10 or 15 minutes before turning it down to low or medium. I kept it at low or medium, never on high. Since following his advice, there has been no odor and I am very happy to say I am using the fireplace with confidence again. I can't say enough good things about Jiminy Chimney Service!
