Very well. Chris was courteous and did a great job cleaning the chimney and firebox, and did a very good job explaining what needed to be worked on and why.

They showed up promptly, were neat and courteous. They are all about safety and fire safety. I appreciate their knowledge and expertise.

I would not recommend them - after spending $8300 we ended up with an unfinished gas fireplace installation and two fireplaces that are still leaking and require us to place a bucket in the firebox when it rains. After several attempts to get Lindemann to address the issues they simply stopped responding.

We hired Lindemann to fix leaks in two chimneys and to install a gas insert in place of a wood burning fireplace. The gas insert recommended was 12 inches too narrow for the existing firebox . They installed it off center leaving a 4 inch gap on one side and an 8 inch gap on the other with no cover or surround at all - just large off center gaps on either side. When we brought this to their attention they did return and center the insert, but the surround they left us with looks terrible - it appears someone just cut out a piece of painted sheet metal with tin snips - jagged edges and all showing. On the chimney repair we noticed almost immediately that we were still getting water through the caps and into our fireplaces. We called and they came out, but I don't think they did anything and they certainly didn't solve the problem. At this point 6 months later we still have plastic buckets in our fireplaces collecting the rainwater every time it rains and no communication from Lindemann on if or when they intend to address the problem. We selected Lindemann in spite of the higher cost in hopes that paying a premium would pay off in quality work. This was absolutely not the case.

They performed an analysis of both the outside and the inside. For the inside they used a camera up the chimney to show us various problems that existed. The gave us two estimates - one to stop the water and the other so that we could continue to use the fireplace safely. We didn't end up using them because their inspection outside missed the real problem that was causing the water and which their recommended repairs would not have fixed. We only learned of the source of the water issue after having two other firms take a look at it.

We dealt with Barrett for our chimney assessment and fix. He was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, polite. He showed us the work that needed to be done via camera inspection. His team was clean and efficient. They worked a very long hard day. The concrete team for the chimney cap was also wonderful. They were very careful, clean and did a great job. We also dealt with Donna in the office for scheduling, she was very responsive, also wonderful. This was a positive experience for a difficult and complex job.

They did a great job from A to Z. Brandon showed up on time for the estimate and was much more thorough than the other company reps that came. He scheduled the work very quickly and they started when they said they would. When they took down the chimney, a bunch of soot fell down and into my living room. They were extremely apologetic and scheduled an upholstery cleaning service to come out and clean the rug and furniture. I couldn't be happier with the quality of workmanship and the level of customer service.

Rob was early for the appointment and explained all the things he would do/look at. He put down lots of runners to cover the floor. After the work was completed, he explained all the things he found and what would need to be done to remedy them. All in all a very good experience.

Our initial call to Lindemann Chimney was to inspect the chimney to determine why there was a leak on the West side of the chimney in the living room ceiling. The representative stated that he would repair the leak in the course of the fireplace repairs. The leak was never stopped and has increased since the repair on the West side as well as a new leak on the East side of the chimney. A second visit by Lindemann by a second Lindemann representative was necessary to repair the mortar joints on the top of the chimney that were of a different color from the rest of the chimney. A third Lindemann representative’s visit determined that many more brick joints were missing or loose on the top of the chimney and that they may be a cause of the leakage. In addition, the representative noted that the chimney cap was undersized for the chimney and was not per code. My wife and I feel that the original concern of water leakage adjacent to the chimney was never addressed and since Lindemanns’ visits, the original leak is significantly worse than it was. In summary, we paid $6,000 to repair a small water leak on the West side of the chimney and after Lindemann worked on our chimney, the leak has significantly increased on the West side and a new leak has appeared on the East side. In addition, we need to replace a chimney crown that was never pointed out to us by the original representative during the original inspection nor was it listed in the original estimate of repair. We need the chimney leaks repaired! We selected Lindemann Chimney because it was listed on Angie’s List as a reputable company.

Matt was courteous, on time and had all the parts necessary to install the gas logs. He was neat, clean and knowledgeable. He is coming back when the weather gets warmer to seal and close a former water heater chimney that is no longer in use. Great company will recommend and use them again.

I originally had them out to do chimney inspections and look at water spot. They said they would seal it and it would no longer be an issue. They also recommended caps for the chimney. Needless to say we took them at there word as they are the professionals. We paid what they asked and we were under the understanding that everything was repaired. Very disappointed that while work was still under warranty and we had issue with water at the same area and I called regarding a remedy I did not get a response. After no call back I called several times finally a crew came out to seal the area. Alas they couldn't do anything because they didn't bring ladders! They did not ask to see the area or go in the attic. I insisted on showing them the problem and took them up to the attic so they could see the sealing they had done did not work. They came back a week later to seal the outside I found this to be odd as I thought they had sealed it originally? I never got an explanation regarding this question. This did not fix issue so I called again and same- no response. Finally, Shawn stopped by to chat and took pictures of ceiling and attic and assured me that Lindemann would take care of everything as it was under warranty. No such thing happened. However, when I spoke with Mike Bodard he said it wasn't a seal issue and that he would send over Lindholm roofing and that he would like to see us in his rearview mirror and we got lucky that we didn't have issues before this. Chris, the guy they sent from Lindholm made such a mess inside the house as he came without booties or flashlight to look in attic. I provided the flashlight but had no booties so he tromped pink installation all over the carpet. He thought it was strange as he did not recognize the kind of sealing material Lindemann had used as he had never seen it and that Lindemann gave us a 7 year warrranty. Be very careful when you hire this company for any work and get a second opinion.

Excellent job. I've had Lindemann at my own house to clean & service my fireplace and know that they can be relied upon to do a good job. This property belongs to out-of-town owners and I am the real estate agent who has listed the property. The service was performed in anticipation of the sale to be sure everything was in order. Very professional service.

From the first phone call with Sally, I knew this company would be different. I tried calling 2 other companies and couldnt get a return phone call. On my first call to Lindemann, I reached a live person and from there it only got better. Sally did everything she could to get the repair technician out to my home in the shortest time frame possible. Sally followed up with me either through emails or phone calls until we established a time that worked for both myself and the technician. When Barrett showed up to my home on Saturday morning, he displayed the same level of customer service. Barrett was patient, he took time to explain what was wrong with the chimney and how until spring it could be repaired to get us through the winter. Barrett, used shoe covers before entering our home and cleaned up after himself when the job was completed. I am so happy with Lindemann, I would recommended them to everyone I know. I will be calling Lindemann in the spring to permanently repair my chimney. I cannot say thank you enough to the staff that work for Lindemann. I hope the owners know how lucky they are to have such superior employees.

They were OK. The service was fine but, they were supposed to come back and fix the starter that was broken. He didn't have the tool, he said that he would call me back, and he never called me back. I got a call from the company and wanted me to do a survey like this. The service was great but, he never followed up, and they never did. They came out quickly, actually, they did finally come back out. They were right on time. He could have tried to up sell us on our chimney but, he didn't.

I was pleased that they didnt charge us for a cleaning with no cleaning required. The tech was delayed, but called us in advance to let us know. All work was performed within an hour. The tech was professional and easy to work with. We had some confusion over a coupon, but it was resolved fully with no hassle.

It was really expensive, but necessary for safety reasons, and everything except the price was awesome. Guys were on-time, polite, friendly, professional, and even took a TV antenna off the roof that we didn't want. Really excellent job.

I found Lindemann through Angie's List. I called and Jake came out to do the estimate. He was pleasant and efficient and emailed the estimate in a timely manner. I had to coordinate the install with removal of the old system. Jake facilitated the scheduling and did his best to have the work done at the most convenient time even during a busy time of the year. On the day of the job, even though another crew would be performing the work, Jake came to make sure that the crew knew the work that was to be performed. Derek and Francisco went right to work. They work well and they work clean. They even did some patching where the vent penetrated the roof. When they were done, the office called to settle the bill. It was all very efficient. Yes, I would call them again.

Overall, after some back and forth, it was fine. They wanted to up charge my wife do the cleaning being offered. They were professional and we met in the middle on price discrepancy. They suggested we add liners to both chimneys which seemed very high and we chose not to do that.

The most knowledgeable and professional chimney service that we've had. We do it annually too. This was our first time with Lindemann's and we'll only return to them now for future service.

we had scheduled cleaning of all our chimneys but when Barrett came out and did the inspections he told us that 2 of the chimneys didn't need cleaning. We just bought the house and he could have easily just fake cleaned the chimneys and charged us for it and we would not know. But he didn't! Inspections were for free so we ended up only paying for the one chimney. will definitely use again.
