We had Lindemann come out to do a chimney repair with their masonry team - slawek was the lead guy. His team showed up every day, early in the am and worked late every day. They did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves, explained any questions i had and were overall very professional. After the chimney project we had our windows and siding replaced with another company, which cause some additional cracks in bricks elsewhere around our house (not related to the chimney), and i asked if they would touch it up... they were at my house in no joke 45 minutes and took care of everything. I can not recommend slawek and his masonry crew enough.

Above expectations! Jim was thoughtful and professional with below freezing temperatures outside. He noticed an issue with our utility chimney we didn't know we had because of our new furnace. We even got a card for free wood to burn!

We are very happy with the completed project. Lindeman was initially called to diagnose the deterioration of the chimney in the basement due to moisture. Project mgr Allen explained the cause clearly and in detail, explained what was necessary, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We approved the carefully detailed contract, the job was scheduled, and Francisco and Ishmael arrived to do it last week. They worked almost ceaselessly throughout the day, stopping only for lunch. When they had completed the job, they carefully cleaned up the workplace. The quality of the work was as professional as we hoped it would be. The project manager and the technicians were informative, polite, respectful, and paid particular care to protect our home during their visit. We would definitely hire them again.

The service representative Erich B. called to inform me he was approximately 20 minutes away and was on time. He was thorough in his inspection explained clearly what was needed and set up a second appointment. He covered the area to protect floors, had a second man to help complete the work in an efficient manner. Installed new gas logs, new burner system with a pilot remote and resealed smoke chamber. I would highly recommend this company and I felt the cost was appropriate.

The visit was uneventful. The technicians showed up in a timely manner, inspected our furnace emission site and dryer vent site in addition to the chimney inspection. They were thorough and showed me several areas that would become a problem later for the chimney. They also provided quotes for the potential work in a timely manner. I would recommend them to others and will use them again. They also gave me a card for free firewood that needs to be punched upon receipt of the goods and the last pick up is timed with scheduling the next chimney inspection.

My experience was first rate all the way. The bad news was the repair work I needed was extensive. 100 year old house with original mortar in the chimney that had been damaged and needed to be removed and relined. Nick, the technician who worked on the project was excellent - communicated well and answered my questions. He and the assistant with him worked hard in difficult weather conditions, up and down the ladder to the roof and hauling heavy loads. The work was done with amazingly little dust inside and everything was cleaned up after so you'd never know major work had been done. Highly recommend Lindemann and Nick in particular for the expertise, professionalism and a great job.

Lindemann Chimney had sent Steve to our house to inspect and sweep the chimney. Steve started by visually inspecting the firebox and surrounding area. He then climbed up to the roof to inspect the exterior of the chimney. Finally, he inspected the interior of the flue. He stopped the inspection at this point to discuss the results with us. In short, the chimney is not safe for use for a few reasons. Steve clearly explained the issues he had discovered both interior and exterior. He did not perform the sweeping at this point since we all agreed that we would not use the fireplace until these issues were addressed/repaired. We continued to discuss other options. Overall, we had a great conversation and ended with a confident understanding of the issues and our options. I believe Steve went beyond our expectations for the following reasons: - Potential issues on our roof surrounding the chimney were pictured and discussed. Because of this we are going to have a roofer examine these issues. - The sweep was not performed, because the chimney is not safe to use. This reduced our cost to just an inspection. - While discussing alternative options, we became very excited about the idea of installing a wood stove insert. I highly recommend Lindemann for your fireplace and chimney needs.

Cleaning included inspection, which revealed gaps in grout, not safe. Repair recommended, since we were close to the holidays, we did not seek competitive bids. Work done timely, workers clean and professional (rather they hadn't played the radio in the driveway, but we forbore to request otherwise). Potential for roof damage is an issue for us, they brought a cherry-picker, but it wouldn't reach; they reversed those charges, and jury-rigged a solution with padded ladders that seemed to work well: appreciate their carefulness. All-in-all, a clean, careful, professional job, despite a few glitches.

It went well. Arrived on time. Todd was friendly and engaging as he answered my questions in a thoughtful and informing manner.

Majority of work was performed quickly, weather delayed outside masonry work but that was completeted asap. Crew cleaned up well after work was done. Price was reasonable. Only glitch was their error in size of liner needed for one chimney, which added cost above estimate, the amount of which wasn’t communicated clearly at the (but was still reasonable, although somewhat unexpected).

Called and offered an appointment "sometime after Thanksgiving". Advised of the needed work likely being pretty easy. Person at company said she would check with some service representatives and call back. No word back.

We had put out a request for quotes to have a chimney inspected - Eric MacCoy came out and did a great job researching and explaining what we needed. He even went up on the roof on a nasty rainy day to do additional inspection. We ended up going with a different firm due to a significant price gap on the quote for the liner install but I felt comfortable that Eric and Lindemann's would have done the job well.

Prompt, responsive and competent. Very impressed with Mike Largen. Out on Wednesday to inspect and size; back on Friday to install gas logs for two fireplaces.

We have used Lindemann for a number of years and have always had a good experience. This time was no different. I had moved the furniture to allow them to work. They put it back on their own. Very considerate about keeping the house clean while doing great work. In past years we have used them for repairs and other work. This work, done several years ago, is holding up well and we are pleased with the work they have done.

We were very impressed! The project manager was friendly, professional and informative; the office team arranged an inspection promptly after our call. Lindemann has a fine reputation but we didn't expect their bid would be the most competitive. Lindemann arrived on the date as scheduled; they were a bit delayed on a prior job but called ahead to let us know. The work flow, progress report and completed project was clearly explained by the project manager. We'd hire Lindemann again, in a New York minute!

I would not do to this place for any chimney work. About 4 months ago we noticed our chimney leaking so called this place to replace it. 2 months later noticed that it was leaking again because they didn't properly seal the chimney. Then last week the ceiling below the chimney caved in. We called them to come out and inspect it and they said it would be a 500 buck fee because it was an emergency SERIOUSLY!!! So we got another place to come inspect it and he found that the chimney wasn't sealed properly again. So finally a week later they came out to inspect it and said the ceiling collapsing was caused by the improper sealing of the chimney and they are not fixing the damages. So in other words they like taking other people's hard earned money only to do a terrible job. A place that scams customers like this shouldn't be in buisness.

I called and described what I needed done, sent pictures and dimensions as requested, and was immediately put on the schedule for the next week. The tech showed up as scheduled and was very clear about the what and how of the installation. From start to finish, this was a very easy experience for me, and I'm completely satisfied with the work.

Excellent. Only minor gripe is that their computer keeps asking about the status of another estimate for a service that we have decided not to have done.

After getting multiple estimates, I felt that the price was good. They came when they said they would. I never saw them or any trace of them. The final product was perfect and looks great. I am very happy with their work.

This was hands down the worst experience I have had with home repair work in my life! We were quoted initially for tuck-pointing, a firebox and appliance liner. We had several companies evaluate our chimney and we chose Lindemann because they seemed great on the initial visit but as soon as they got our deposit everything changed! We soon found Lindemann to be highly disorganized, exceptionally hard to actually schedule despite having provided the deposit in full and generally unprofessional. Every time we called we got a different person and everyone seemed to blame the previous people we talked to for the issues we were having. We did eventually get scheduled but when they arrived on the scheduled date they were not only late but we were soon told it was going to be AT LEAST another $5000 to do the work that they had already quoted. I then had to meet with and talk to three different people from the company, ending with the manager coming to my home. They held to this new price and were unapologetic for the terrible service they provided. We ended up having additional damage to our home because they dragged their feet over more than three months and eventually we had to cancel the whole job with them because of their persistently shady behavior. Following cancelling the job it took them more than 2 weeks to refund our deposit and we still receive emails and mail from them regularly asking us to review their work and stating that they are "here for all of our future chimney needs." I do not usually write negative reviews but in this case I would be remiss to not get this story out; DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are disorganized and will up-charge you once they have gotten your contract. Stay far away!
