What a wonderful company! The level of professionalism from beginning to end was top notch. We have a very old home (100 years +) and previous companies have discouraged us from seeking a better draft from our gas fireplace..not Lindemanns..they were so wonderful to work with..very thorough did the job in the time promised and explained all to us along the way..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We found out that we had a huge hole in our chimney when we were putting on a new roof. The roofers repaired the brick work but advised us that we may want someone to take a look at the rest of the chimney. We worked with Jim O'Dell from Lindemann Chimney Co. He was very professional and courteous. He was on time and completed all the work quickly and professionally. Clean up was excellent. You couldn't tell they were here at all. The chimney looks great and I'm sure it will last awhile. We are very happy with the service and with the work that was done.

The chimney was original to our 100-year-old house, so we knew it would eventually need to be replaced. We had several estimates, but decided to go with Lindemann's, even though their price was not the absolute lowest. Communication with the office was smooth and the work was done very promptly. The crew was very professional. The chimney looks good and matches the look of the original quite well.

I'm happy with the work, they came in and vacuumed/cleaned then scoped the chimneys. Then after looking at roof identified a possible leak and worked out how we can fix it.

He came out and told me that he wasn't the guy who could do the work, and told me he needed to consult with someone else from the company and that they would call me back. They never called me back. I really lost trust in them. The guy who came out was very nice and polite, but there was no follow-through.

Work was completed on schedule; workers were professional. We inspected the masonry and fireplace after the work was done and everything was top quality!

Four years ago, water leaked in the fireplace and we have a chimney service repair the tuck pointing and seal the chimney with crown coat. In March, water leaked through the ceiling as well as the fireplace. I had Lindemann come out and another company to review the situation and give me an estimate. Then I called back the original chimney service. They did not see the same thing as Lindemann or the other company. After discussing the situation with our roofer, he said Lindemann has a great reputation. We went with them. Their employees worked diligently and efficiently. They arrived on time and cleaned up nicely. There were 2 employees for the crown and and one employee for the damper. Then the two came back removed the forms. There was a lot of work done over 3 days. I would highly recommend Lindemann. Really great to work with and THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK for more than a year.

They did a very thorough job of isolating the nature of my problem and proposing a solution that I trust. I had four companies take a look at my chimney. Lindeman's was the only one I was confident that I wasn't being taken advantage of. They were courteous and claen(ish).

The work was done in two steps. The masonry repair began first. The work was done professionally and is a definite improvement in the structure. Due to the unique bricks on my house, they weren't able to match colors and textures closely, but it is not an eyesore either and they did the best they could with bricks that were available. I was pleased with the 4" overhang they added to my chimney which was not previously there. This should help with a leaking roof issue I had from where the chimney met the roof. The second part was installing a dryer vent for the house where there previously wasn't one, installing a liner in the appliance chimney to eliminate the internal damage that was causing the masonry to fail and having to be replaced. Lastly they installed a damper cap on the fireplace chimney as the internal damper had been removed by previous owner. All the work was done very professionally and quickly. Having the new dryer vent is awesome and I didn't even know they did that upon the initial deal I purchased even though the quote for the vent seemed kind of high to me, I didn't haven't quoted anywhere else and wanted the work completed quickly. I felt the cost of the appliance chimney liner and external damper cap were fair and what I would have expected. The cost of the masonry work also seemed kind of high, but again, I had no other quotes to compare this to, so I do not know the going rate for this kind of masonry work. I was quoted $3300 for the following and it was for replacing about 250 bricks: Rebuild the masonry chimney. - Remove the existing masonry chimney from the flashing up. - Rebuild the masonry chimney to the original height using the best possible brick and mortar match. - Replace the existing upper clay tile with new terra cotta flue tile in the rebuild area if needed. - Form and pour a new 4 inch thick concrete crown with 1 ½ inch overhang. - Reseal the flashing as necessary. Overall, I am pleased with the work and time frame with which the work was completed. It was also a low initial deposit ($400 on $6,000 worth of work) to get the work started unlike other contractors I have used which were as much as 20-50%.

I called several chimney cleaning businesses when I realized that the swarms of flies in my house were coming from the fireplace. All were happy to come take care of the problem within 1 to 5 days. I had to have it done same day. Agent on phone was very nice and offered that she would contact tech in the field and see if he could make a special stop at my house asap. She called back with good news that tech would be there within a few hours. Jim and a trainee showed up and went to work confirming issue, verifying that my chimney was in good shape (mystery remains how animal got in), and dismantling the damper so they could get the carcass out. They removed the squirrel, cleaned the area where it had been and cleaned out the firebox. They put the damper back together. 60 minutes after arriving, they were on their way. All employees were pleasant and professional. They genuinely understood my concern with getting this taken care of quickly. I thought the price was reasonable.

initially bid seem reasonable, but work completed was not a complete rebuid. when i asked lindemann why this occurred they referred me to the mason who said that the job was underbid and he did what was necessary. this was obviously annoying but the job was already completed. they gave me a few hundred off the price. so beware if you need a chimney rebuild you may want to go directly to a mason.

Unfortunately it dropped through the cracks for the follow up so I just moved on.

Lindemann's did a great job on our chimney cleaning and repair. During the cleaning they discovered evidence of a prior chimney fire. Ultimately the tile lining (which was original to the house) needed to be removed and replaced and a good big of the brickwork replaced on the exterior of the chimney. Not only did they get us patched up quickly and efficiently, but their staff was incredibly pleasant. Good people doing a good job. We highly recommend them.

They were prompt, polite and courteous and did a good job in checking. But they did an ok job in patching the masonry. They were also trying to push things that we didn't need.

excellent. clean, professional. had several holes in all the fireplaces, so he advised us not to use them. The cost of fixing them ranged from 3,000-8,000 each. If we decide to use the fireplaces, then we will get them fixed and will call Lindemann to do so. I was referred to them by a friend and was pleased by what they did and what they said.

I feel that the gentleman who inspected my chimney was honest, knowledgeable, and professional. I would not hesitate to use this company again in the future.
