Called ahead and asked if he could move the appointment up. Arrived on time and performed work quickly. Technician also answered questions and was able to explain how to reset garage door openers.

It was just a wonderful experience. Tom arrived on time and was very pleasant. He walked around the home with us to each door and explained what he was going to do and the amount of time it would take. Everything was done in just one visit over the course of an hour or so. He was professional and provided us our keys and spares on the spot!

It went great! After seeing the Rosen Report on NBC I was actually nervous! Tom is one of the nice guys - honest and trustworthy and really fast. From phone call to repair it was approximately 40 minutes - and the best c-note I've spent in a long time. My parents safety - priceless!

Tom arrived on time and we went through the house and looked at every lock. He explained what each type of lock was and the quality as well. He was very polite and was very patient in answering my multitude of questions. It seems he really enjoys what he does and takes it very seriously. He was able to re-key 10 locks and make 6 keys in about 2 hours. The total cost was $235 which included the $55 service call -- very reasonable. In addition, for no extra charge, he helped me erase the code and re-program the garage door opener. That was definitely above and beyond what I was expecting, but what a nice thing to do since it had not crossed my mind! The whole experience was very positive -- fast and efficient. And all keys work -- which is not always the case. I would definitely use Tom again and will be recommending him to my friends and neighbors,

I had just bought the home and needed the locks rekeyed. Tom swiftly did that. I negotiated with him to install different locks that I preferred in additional doors, which he did in a professional and efficient manner. He had to return to install the other locks once I received the shipment, but he quickly scheduled the visit and met all of his commitments. I'd use his services again whenever needed.

When you move into a new house they say it's wise to get new locks. Totally buying into the idea we opted to have ours changed (many months after moving in...but hey - better late than never, right?) I found the Angie's List deal from Custom Lock & Safe for 4 locks for $115. It sounded like a fair rate so I purchased it and looked to have it scheduled the next week. To my surprise, Tom had availability that same week and I took the nearest availability. Tom was prompt, friendly and informative. Whether part of his normal routine or if it was above and beyond, he made sure to explain what he was doing, what he would be doing to improve the current locks and provided me with a bonus set of keys. All in all, it took under an hour. I now have re-keyed doors, I feel safer, I found a future locksmith (if I ever need one) and it didn't break the bank.

Tom arrived on time. He went straight to work and got all locks re-keyed quickly. There were approximately 14 that needed to be done including some that had to be "picked". He oiled all locks and provided 8 keys for free.

Tom was on time, actually a little early. He rekeyed a few locks for me, and without me even asking, he also asked if I needed help reprogramming the garage door openers and the keypad. That was nice of him to offer. That only took a few mins, but was a big help. I would highly recommended Tom to anyone who needs his services.

Everything went very well. He arrived on time, which was early in the morning to accommodate my work schedule. He was able to quickly re-key all the locks, and also explained all the details of the locks to me so that I knew how to operate them. He fixed the front door lock that hadn't been lined up properly when first installed. All locks are working great now. Great experience all around.

Tom did a fabulous job re-keying all 14 locks on my new home to a single key for a very reasonable price of $300. He made sure all the locks were well oiled and working well, and provided 6 keys as part of the total cost. He also provided advice on home security and other great information on craftsmen I may need for future projects. Overall, He is a great locksmith and a great individual. I strongly recommend him if you are in the Northern Suburbs and need to change the locks in your home.

Talk about prompt service! Email was returned within one hr! Tom met us that same day and was quick to finish, kind, and professional. Won 't ever be using anyone else!

Tom was fantastic, he was able to come out on first thing on Saturday morning ( I called Friday night) and informed us that our super old original locks were not able to be re-keyed, and suggested some cost saving options to us since we wanted deadbolts that were not key on both sides. He drilled and installed three new lock sets and then fixed our sliding glass door lock. He also made several safety suggestions that we have since used. Mostly we liked his honest and professional attitude, he didn't shop talk or try to up-sell us, and explained the technical stuff so we understood. We will definitely use him again.

Tom was excellent. Not only was his work quick and processional, he also took the time to educate me on how best to install the knobs. He cleaned up as he worked and was careful when working around the doorbell wiring. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would use him again in the future and will recommend him to others.

So I'm one of those people that used to think I wouldn't be dumb enough to lock myself out of my own house...until today.
