Came out right away and did a great job!

I contacted Water Works for a sprinkler system and was given a quote of $4,500 for installation, plus their fertilizer was given to me for free (a $450 value). On July 6th, my credit card was charged $2475 with the understanding that the rest of the balance would be due after services rendered. The actual installation took place on July 30th and the workers arrived 2 hours late. I was told to expect the workers between 6:30-8:30 am; however, they did not arrive until 10:30 am. Since they arrived later than expected, I was not able to receive a tutorial of the system after installation, as I had to get back to work. One of the workers understood this and ensured me that someone would walk me through the process step-by-step over the phone or in-person at a later time. I was okay with that. I called the company 4 times to set-up the tutorial and each time the person I needed to speak to was not available and I was promised that they would call me back, but they never did. When I was finally able to speak to someone about this, I was told to simply download the app and follow the instructions. I did not feel comfortable with that and should not have been expected to figure out an unfamiliar system on my own as I did not want to take the risk and possibly ruin something. I was then told that someone would come to show me how to use the system 8 days after the initial installation as the company is only in my area during certain times of the week. That was not acceptable--especially since this could have been done on the same day if the workers had not shown up 2 hours later than expected. Finally, it was agreed that someone would stop by 5 days later instead. On July 30th, my credit card was charged an additional $3,112.00. The first mistake, no one asked if it was okay to charge this card again. I could have paid the remaining balance by check or possibly used another card. The second mistake, the quoted price was $4,500 and I had previously paid $2475, so my remaining balance should have been $2,025. I was overcharged $1,087. I contacted Water Works about this and I was told that the additional money was for the permit to complete the installation and for the fertilizer. I told the lady I spoke with that the fertilizer was offered to me for free and asked for an invoice (which I still have not received -- mistake #3). She insinuated that I was not telling the truth about receiving free fertilizer, so I asked to speak to someone else. Later, she called me back and apologized and said that I was charged for the fertilizer by mistake and offered me either a check for $450 or for 2 years of maintenance. Of course, I wanted my money back! Over the weekend I received a check for $450 (invoice still NOT included), but there is still $637 not accounted for. I have asked multiple times now for an invoice that will explain the discrepancy between the quoted price and the actual amount I paid to date. If there was an additional charge for $637, just be upfront about it. I seriously doubt that a permit to complete this job cost that much. Here is the kicker...Tonight, I spoke to my neighbor 2 doors down from me and he also hired Water Works for a sprinkler system. His quoted price was $5,150. Hmmm, funny, after receiving the check back from Water Works, I technically paid $5,150 as well, but remember, my fertilizer was offered for free. Why do I have to fight for an invoice? Why do I have to fight for someone to return my calls? Why do I have to fight for someone to show me how the system works. I need someone to explain the additional charges. I just moved into my home and have had several workers/contractors come to my house for different services and I always paid the quoted price (plus tip). Why is Water Works different???

Rarely do I find that a service provider does exactly what they say they are going to do, they do it early and they do an absolutely fantastic job. Sprinkler system installed today and installers were fantastic, Leo took time to explain everything and would not leave until we were completely satisfied. Great work, I mean truly great!!!

Timely estimate and installation. They took care of everything needed for the job. Installation was quick, and once completed you could scarcely tell they had disturbed the lawn at all.

Water works does a great job. Even when things don't go well, they are easy to deal with. Nicole has been fantastic dealing with concerns I had on the opening of my sprinkler system. She took care of the problem and secured me as a customer for years to come. Good company all around.
