The service provider acknowledged that my wife and I are entertaining several bids. He offered a twenty minute conversation or a two hour PowerPoint presentation - whatever we wanted. We aimed form something in the middle. The provider clearly explained our options. All well and good. We were turned off by several factors: Price - ARS came in $300 dollars above other bids. Warranty - ARS offered 10 year parts / 1 year labor. We found 10 year parts and 10 years labor elsewhere. Professionalism -The provider wrote up the estimate and then informed us that the quoted price was not his best offer. He told us that he'd talk to his manager and give us his best price when we called to schedule the service. I was irritated by this unnecessary haggling.

The provider was very nice and pleasant. He did the job well also. However, I think the price was very steep for what was done.

Technically, the work went alright. I was disappointed with the pricing though because I paid $95 for a $200 coupon. They charged me an additional $175. It was just to take out an old toilet and replace the toilet that I had purchased. I thought it was way overpriced. I would never ever do business with them again. The guy was very slow. I thought the coupon that I had from Angie's List would cover it. They wouldn't give me an estimate before he came out. If they came out and gave me an estimate, they wanted a service fee. The guy did a good job. He got here when he said he would. I bought a kitchen faucet also. I naively thought that $200 would cover replacing the faucet also. But, he wanted an extra $325 to do that in addition to $200 and $175. I told him, "Forget about it." I thought it was like a bait and switch.

This experience is quite similar to another customer (here) has faced recently. Should have looked for an alternative but thought I should give it a second chance. Mentioned that I got his lead from Angie's list and that didn't make any difference. The pricing pressure on the phone was just not professional (gave 5 minutes to decide on a $2200 project cost). Didn't go with the water heater project but went with the kitchen faucet replacement.

It was okay- he was very nice and friendly. However, he showed up almost an hour after the window of time given, and was here for all of 15 minutes. This felt like a huge rip off for $150.00.

Plummer was on time and performed the work well.

Came told me what needed to be done and charged me 5500.00 to fix the small pipe in the basement that was bringing the water from outside to inside. I did not have water because of leak and got the Angie deal feeling it would help a little. I have used them a lot in the past and felt good about price and service. Last couple of times I just feel like I have been ripped off. So I will pursue an alternative plumber.

I paid an exorbitant amount for the "privilege" of using an Angie's DEAL! I bought $200 of plumbing services for $99, thinking I could get an outside faucet replaced for about that amount. I'm no dummy. I do lots of my own handy work so I have a good sense of cost. I just didn't have time to do this job, so I thought the Angie's deal was a GOOD deal. I was wrong. ARS Rescue Rooter charged OVER $500 ($525 !!!) just to replace the leaky faucet in the same hole, with Clean and easy access! The only add-on was a cut-off valve to the existing pipe run. The plumber was friendly, professional, and did a good and timely job installing a new faucet. So, no complaints on the work. But I am not a happy customer. It was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! NOT A GOOD DEAL! I feel totally ripped off.

I didn't do the work with this company. Please i need a full refund for what I paid Thanks Joseph

Got calls before to confirm appointment. Did things in deal. Was professional and quick.

I needed a plumber as my faucet's pull out hose/sprayer got stuck and there was a kink. the plumber came (I forgot the name) was very polite in fairness but when I told him about the problem and the things I wanted to be done, he just inspected it for like 2mins or so then he suggested to replace the entire faucet. I was asked him if he could replace the hose, he just told me that there is no hose available for it, when I asked how much the price for replacement, he told me around $500.00, can you believe it to replace the faucet $500? that's a RIP OFF! $200 for the materials (including faucet) and the remaining fee for the labor. When I checked the faucet that they're selling, it was a cheap kind of faucet. I told the plumber that there are universal hose for sale and I called the plumber to replace the pull out hose as it is a little more complicated than to replace the entire faucet. I was hoping to still use the existing faucet as it is still about 4 months old and it was installed during our kitchen renovation. the plumber then tried to convince me that there is no such thing as pull out hose for sale or replacement, he really tried to make me pick the option of changing the faucet and buying their available faucet which does not match with our kitchen design. I asked him how long will the installation be, plumber told me about an hour or more. I tried to talk to him about an option that I will buy the faucet that I like and he will just install it, then he gave tons of reasons like I need to set up another schedule for that, they can not warranty it etc.. so decided not to hire them and I paid $20 for the inspection and I ended up buying a faucet that I like (bought the same brand and design)and Installed it myself and it only took me 20 mins. or even less to do the job. I understand that it is a business but to overcharge and to tell clients it can not be done and etc so that clients will pick the more expensive option, to LIE to make the work more difficult by saying it'll take an hour or more to do it to justify the price is not right especially if the customer or the client is a little knowledgeable about fixing and DIY. I'm not even the best handy handyman or DIY'er but it only took me 20mins or less to do the job. BEWARE!!

The workman came early -- he was scheduled between 10:00 and 2:00, and I received a dispatcher call at 9:00. I had to get to the premises pretty fast. The technician was immaculately dressed in a uniform and had covers for his shoes. He was extremely professional and kind. He did not have rubber gloves or a bright light, which I think he should have brought with him. He unclogged the sink/garbage disposal, and showed me that it worked. He then left. I cleaned out the sink and tried to run the disposal again, and it had broken again. He had told me that there was no warranty on the work.

Our plumber, Roger, was prompt and very personable and extremely skilled and quick. I would absolutely use them again.

The serviceman entered the crawlspace to check out the work. When he came out, he announced that there were several other leaks, and he would be able to fix them all while he was here for "about another $1000". This was before he even told me how much it was going to cost to fix the outside faucet. Since I had no confirmation that there really were other leaks, and being a senior citizen, I felt that this seemed to be an attempt to take advantage of the situation. Then he gave me a price of over $400 just to do the faucet, and I told him that was much more than I had anticipated, and if that was the best he could do then I would have to ask him to leave. The price then "dropped" to $363, but I had taken the day off work to get this done, so agreed. He finally totaled the bill at $250, saying he was giving me some home service plan price, which I did not have. So if he could leave with $250, why did he start with $403? Something was just not proper about that. He also put on booties when he came inside, but I never saw him take them off as he walked back and forth to the truck.

I relocated out of Chicago before I got a chance to use the discount. Waste of money.

Even though I was upset to have to have this work done I felt like I was kept fully informed every step of the way. They were able to show me on the pipe camera exactly what was going on. I was treated with respect and sympathy. The ARS employee spent a lot of time making sure the problem was found. He was also extremely thorough when he explained what they were going to do and what I should expect I was very pleased with their service and would use them again.

The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable and walked me through all of the rooms and let me know what he was checking and what the result was. He inspected the plumbing and all was OK. I would use ARS for my future plumbing needs.

Guy was great. On time and professional. Did not give that "hard-sell" that we'd shy away from.

Provider was running behind, but they called us to let us know. The service was very good and comprehensive. They helped me find some problems that I was bale to immediately fix before my renovation was done. very helpful.
