My A/C is about 25 years old. The condenser requried chemical cleaning - Marvin spent the better part of 2+ hours in the chilly rain professionally completing the job. Excellent dedication, communication, and honesty. I will definitly be calling on ARS - specifically Marvin D. - again.

Went very well - the problem was fixed with an hour.

I have been a customer of ARS for HVAC service and water heater work for many years. I did not realize that I had used another company for sump pump and ejector pump replacement. I learned that the work of this other contractor was not ideal, and one aspect does not meet code (not an issue unless I want to sell my home). I opted to add the plumbing service agreement in addition to my HVAC service contract.

Had an extended warranty home service plan that came with brand new furnace.The comapny never notified me I had the extended service warranty untill it expired on a brand new unit. Never recieved a mailing to remind me of the warranty and that they need to come out and do the seasonal free tune ups. Once the warranty expired ARS would send multiple letters ready to take my money but refused to come out and honor the free service I never received. I called to complain and was promised a call back, that never happened. I had to call back and expalin the situation a second time placed on hold and finally got through to a to the manager that was suppose to origanlly call me back. She refused to honor any visits and said the warranty had expired. She did offer a new warranty at a discounted rate but chose not to pay money to a poor service originization. I would not recomend them as they seemed only interested in the new sale not honoring extended warranties.

Marvin was very profession and pleasant. Everything was checked thourghly and everything was nice and clean when he left. Booties were worn he explained what he was doing and the results of the testing that he performed. He explained everything when he finished.

ARS gave me a hard time with fixing my furnace that broke down in the middle of winter. I had called and scheduled an appointment and the agent had confirmed that there won't be any overtime charge since I had called before their offices closed. They provided an estimated arrival time of 7pm. At 7:30 the repairman called to confirm and said that there will be an overtime charge and didnt care what the office had told me. He refused to come over unless I confirmed that I would pay the overtime charge. At that point, I called their office to help me and they refused. The after hours agent told me that since the manager had left for the day, there isn't much he can do to help. So, being in the middle of winter, and without a choice at 8:00pm I agreed to accept the charge. After waiting for 2 more hours, no one showed up and we had to spend the night with a space heater. Next day, I called another firm and they promptly dispatched someone out to fix the furnace. I have never had such a bad experience with any firm. Totally unprofessional.

No problems. Jimmy D is a service rep that I rate as an A+.

Nate J. did a routine cleaning and checked furnace, blower, humidifier,etc. Very prompt and courteous.

During the quote, someone was along for training purposes and he was continually butting in, which was quite annoying. The service they provided was fine, however I thought the cost was extremely overpriced. I was in a bind to get the issue fixed, so I went with them, but would shop around to other companies in the future.

We are satisfied with ARS and the work performed. Great salesman, very knowledgable, arranged the install for the day after sale. Workmen were prompt, professional and courteous. The only negative was that 2 months after the install we started using the furnace regularly, then all of a sudden, it stopped working and we smelled plastic burning. Turns out that the wiring harness was not assembled properly at the factory and this caused the furnace to auto-shutdown after using it for a period. ARS was responsive though, and even sent the factory expert out to inspect the work that was done to fix it. ARS has honored the quality guarantee, so overall, it was still an "A" experience.

Jimmy D arrived within the agreed time. He cleaned the furnace and sited a problem. He fixed it and left. He was very professional. He was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns. I will be asking for him the future.

Nate J. came to do our annual furnace checkup. As usual, Nate was prompt, curteous and got the job done. There was a small problem with our humidifier filter, which he explained and fixed in a very short time.

Good service for a good price! Especially with the "Big Deal". Mike arrived on time, was very professional, and very knowledgable in all things HVAC. I would definitely hire his company again. Especially if another "Big Deal" is part of the package. ☺

Very courteous and clean check out of the furnace. Check it out for the winter. GreAT JOB.

Needed garbage disposal installed properly. Another plumber installed it incorrectly, I could not get it off. Also needed other side of sink properly plumbed due to new granite counter tops and under mounted sink. He got the original disposal off in no time. He recommended a new disposal. I should have refused. The original was a 3/4 hp INSINKERATOR. He recommended a 1/2 hp, brand that I was not familiar with. Once installed, It sounded weak, food does not fall through the rubber gasket, you have to push it through, maybe in time it will loosen up. I called them up, they came back, I was not there, he convinced my wife that it was fine. The company does good work, a little pricey. They come when promised. If you are not happy or if there is a problem they will try and resolve it. I believe that if I had insisted he would have put back the original disposal. Not sure if they need to up sell other products, Just listen to your gut. I would use them again, just stick to your original plan.

Nate arrived on time as scheduled for a preseason furnace inspection and tune-up. He was very curtous and extremely professional as he performed the these services. I highly recommend Nate J. and ARS for HVAC repairs and service.

Kitchen and bathtub drains were cleared by removing debris from them. The total time took all of 15 minutes. The service technician, Rodney ,was very informative and courteous. I was was very happy with the service I received. He did inform me of the cost prior to doing the work.I feel the advertisement was misleading. It stated 50.00 off for 100.00 worth or work. I took that to mean that the minimum service cost would be 100.00, but its not, its 286.00. Although I felt the cost was extremely high $236.00( Original cost $286.00 - $50.00 coupon ), I did allow the work to be done.

They gave me a window between 10:00AM and 2:00PM and did not arrive until 4:30PM. The job took less than 10 minutes and they tried to charge $338! I figured it would be closer to $100 so I purchased a $100 for $50 on Angie's List. The guy said he had never heard of it but accepted it and did not want the coupon # or anything? I said it seemed really expensive for the amount of work to be done so he knocked of another $30. Still seemed expensive but hopefully the smell should be gone now.

I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone on Earth. The drain from out of the house kept overflowing and it was going back onto the foundation. Their communication system is terrible. I would get someone to come out and look at it and they would say, “Oh, that’s not right. I’ll talk to one of the supervisors and they’ll call you.” They never called back. Then someone else came out and said they were having trouble with the guy but they have a new guy and he’d call me tomorrow. I never heard from him. I finally got a supervisor and he said he was a master plumber in two states. I told him I didn’t care because neither one of those states were Illinois. As far as I’m concerned, they are the biggest fraud. I had someone else come in and dig another trench from the pit across the front of my property. I did that because the village inspector was kind enough to come out and tell me what to do.

He came out to repair a leak in my kitchen faucet. He told me the faucet was frozen and he wouldn’t be able to fix it. He said I had too much chlorine in my water so he tested my water and said it was as high as a swimming pool. He then started to show me things on a new water softener and a new faucet. He told me it couldn’t be repaired and everything needed to be replaced. Now, the original leak has moved from above the counter to below the counter.

Their technicians learn by the book then learn from someone else. I just like to keep my eye on what they are doing and it goes ok. They are very accommodating and when you need them they are out here right away.

They took care of my home by putting booties on their feet so they didn't track anything inside. Every time I have them everything has been fine.

I like them very much. They are very prompt and call me 20-30 minutes before they are coming. They will show up within the time frame they give me. They always get it right the first time and I never have to call them back. I am very pleased with their service.

Everything has been good. We purchased the maintenance plan and they call when it's time for servicing, which I like.
