Problem with 1 toilet after initial work, but, it was fixed very responsibly.

I can't say enough about how prompt and professional this company is. In particular, Ted Steinbrecher, our Comfort Adviser, has worked with us now on two occasions. I can't say enough about Ted's warm demeanor, his willingness to work with our needs and parameters, and really extended himself to to help us get the best system at his best price. Our Comfort Specialist, Rob A., was beyond helpful and very knowledgable. I was very impressed by the follow-up phone call I received from him to ensure I had a follow-up phone call for a Comfort Advisor to come out. We are sold on ARS for our home heating/cooling/plumbing needs! Give them a call!!

I had a coupon for $100 for $50. The gentleman fixed a plumbing issue I was having with my dishwasher, he was honest about pricing and finished the job quickly. After my coupon, e whole job costed $15! Great company, I highly recommend!

After purchasing the Big Deal from Angie's list on May 3rd, I didn't hear back from ARS. But when I remembered to follow up on the 29th they sent someone right out. Robert was neat, thorough and professional. He made adjustments in both of my toilet tanks to improve flushing and water usage. He also checked my drainage and kitchen faucet. No push to upcharge with additional services and no surprises. I will definitely use ARS the next time I need a plumber!

Went well. We knew the flapper was leaking water and tried several times to fix it ourselves. Technician was able to replace the flapper and adjust the water level. Works great now.

They came out and replaced the coils, but I'd rather have a new water heater that works instead of one that has replaced coils. They came out three times. When I mentioned I got my attorney involved they finally brought me a new water heater.

We called on Sunday, 5/17/15 to have someone out on Monday, 5/18/15 to rod out our backed up sewer drain between 2:00-6:00 p.m. We received a call around 1:00 p.m. to tell us that they would not be coming because they had overbooked appointments for 5/18 AND 5/19 and would not be able to show up until Wednesday, 5/20. As we had a backed up sewer drain and were not able to use our plumbing until the line had been rodded, we had to call a reliable plumber that we could trust to show up when promised. The Scottish Plumber possessed all of the qualities that we had expected from ARS/Rescue Rooter Illinois that they couldn't provide during an emergency. We suspect that overbooking is standard practice for them if they had done it at least two days in a row and their operating hours show up as 12 a.m.-11:30 p.m. every day.

He was neat, clean, and very polite. He gave me a reasonable estimate, and did a great job replacing both sumps. I would definitely call him again.

ARS / Rescue Rooter Illinois came and they gave us an estimate which I felt was a bit too high for the work and we just decided not to go with them. I know they were here. I remember them coming out. He was very nice. He seemed to be very thorough. My husband actually objected to the estimate. He was polite. He had to call, he ran into some problems and had to come an hour later, he was considerably late but it wasn't a huge deal though. He was very polite, very thorough and seemed very knowledgeable. My husband thought that the quote was too high and we elected to go with our building maintenance staff instead. I would say that if we were not in a condominium we would have probably used them but because we have a building maintenance staff here and they are fairly good we decided to try them first. He was very professional.

It worked out fine. Nate is just a breath of fresh air. They are very informative. Takes the time to do extra thing/explanations. So chipper. Nate is unique for the organization.

They did a very good job. He showed me quotes. He went through each room and inspected. Wanted to have an inspection to see what needed to be done. He confirmed my own observations. Knowledgeable. Used useful information. I was a day beyond a coupon date and they still honored it. It was well worth finding out the things I did.

I've never had any problems with them. They come out when they say they are going to.

He just checked my furnace he didnt do anything I was told he clean among other things the item I purchased for was for inspections this was a waste of money and my time. NO I will NOT use them again.

Just bought a house and forgot to set up an appointment to de-winterize, started calling around to see who could do it that day. I called the Big Deal providers first and this company was able to come out the same day. I purchased the Big Deal and got the appointment at the same time. Technician came out later on, de-winterized the home, did a complete inspection of the plumbing system, left the spigots open in the laundry during the process and water sprayed everywhere! Thank God I was close by to shut the water off. Otherwise, everything else went okay. Work was average, nothing above and beyond. I'm going to say "B" because they came out the same day, otherwise, I would say "C" because the work was average.

The workers were good. The workers were prompt. I would tell a friend that they do good work. I would recommend them to a friend.

I purchased a brand new hot water heater with them and it never worked. I took two days at home while they attempted to fix the problem. I told them I did not want this heater and wanted a new one, but they assured me they could fix it. It took them until the last time to bring someone who is knowledgeable about the situation to tell me I needed a new heater.

Let me first say that my overall experience was pretty good. They were very professional, scheduling was easy, and Sam (the plumber) was very friendly and respectful. The only issue I had was the price. I had previously received an estimate from a couple other places and their price quote was much higher. The "$50 for $100" coupon helped but it was still higher. I decided to go with them despite the higher price quote because I had already taken a day off from work to get this done and I didn't want to waste another day if I called someone else. In the end, I paid $382 ($50 to Angies List for the coupon and $332 to ARS) to change two faucets - one for kitchen sink and the other for lavatory sink. It took Sam about two hours to change the two faucets. It took him another 15 min to change a showerhead for the bathroom which they did for free. Overall, good service!!! But a little too pricey for small plumbing issues.

The ARS worker was punctual and was very thorough in the inspection and informative of what he was doing and checking for.

I have used them before and I am very comfortable with their service. So when I seen the big deal I took advantage of that. They did perform a service that was not normal for me. It was something different than what I have normally done. They did great. I know the quality of their work. They are dependable, quick and respond immediately to my request. They installed my new furnace, AC, and sump pump. I would not use anyone else.

It went fine. I appreciated them coming quickly. I thought they were a little expensive but they came real quick, and so that worked out. I was having a water heater put in and I was having problems with my drains too. So he called his brother or father or somebody who came over and did it. They routed out my drains and so they did it the right way. They have some pretty good service.

Very nice people, I just didn't need the work so I got a refund on the Big Deal.

The technician was un-professional. Told me I needed a new furnace. (Other company told me it was in great shape) Don't appreciate when someone tries to sell me a "new one" when the "old one" is working fine. Next, the boiler. Indeed it is older but again has been well maintained. This is where things went bad. The technician was instructed to clean and inspect. After cleaning he did something. Not sure what, but let a ton of air in the system and it started rattling and banging and making noise I've never heard it make before. His brilliant solution was to wedge a piece of wood between the hot pipe and the ceiling joist. This muffled the rattling slightly, so apparently he assumed it was a good idea. At this point he proceeds to make it sound like the boiler could blow up. This scared my wife and caused me much grief trying to re-assure her that it is not going to blow up. Even my old boiler has redundant safety features. Regardless, I shut it down and had to get another company to repair the damage he caused. The system had a lot of air in the pipes and the gizmo that lets fresh water in was not working. I had that gizmo replaced 3 yrs ago so not sure how/why it went bad. Not sure if this guy did something to it or not. But his assertion was "I didn't touch that" He then left talking about getting me an estimate to repair several things that he assumed could be bad. He know little if anything about boilers and was as unprofessional as it gets. I called the main office the next day to complain of the horrible service and they were rude and arrogant. I demanded a refund for the boiler portion of the bill. I should have demanded it all back as I plan to have someone re-inspect the furnace. Today it has been 3 weeks and I am still waiting for the refund check. Will see if it comes. Bottom line, this company will NEVER get my business again and I would suggest people use the local guy that is always busy. Wait for him if you can. I only used this company because they were available when the local guy (who does great work) was busy. Probably WHY he is so busy.

It was fine and I had no problems. They sent one plumber out to do the job and he had to go to the store to get some parts. The plumber was very friendly, professional, and efficient. The scheduling was easy.

We had no problem with them and no issues. We used them for a couple of years. The technicians were all professional and also the call center that I would schedule with was professional.
