We just moved into our new home and wanted to replace the dryer only to find out that we would need to replace the copper gas line as well. Aleck first provided us with an estimate that included several options of how we could run the gas line and they explained the pros and cons of each option. They were able to perform the work right away but my husband and I wanted to think about it first. The following week we scheduled the work. They arrived early for our service appointment and finished the work in a timely manner. They were polite, professional, and left the area very clean. We couldn't have been happier.

I called for an estimate and was told the price (hoping it was free) and that the fee would be applied to services if I chose to go with them.Mike T. came out later the same day and assessed my problem(s), he was very professional, knowlegeable and overall "a nice guy".He explained to me that the old pipe was leaking from the top along the seam and some of it had actually collapsed and entered into the sewer line. He then took a look at the clean-out in front of the house and showed me that it would have to be rodded out before any repairs to the pipe could be made. He then gave me a written estimate and asked if I'd like to schedule it. After considering the "crud" that the pipe was leaking onto my basement floor (and the health hazard) I told him to go ahead and schedule it (rodding and replacement of the 4 inch 4 foot section of bad pipe). Mike got on his work phone and called the office for a schedule.He told me he'd be at my home at 7am the next morning and asked that I make sure the outdoor power supply would be on at that time so he could rod out the sewer line first. Sure enough, at 7:00 precisely, Mike was at my home and preparing to run the rodding machine and after 2-1/2 hours, the line was open. He then proceeded to the basement to begin work on removing the busted pipe, replacing it with pvc.He then began to remove the debris and clean up. He asked if one of the toilets upstairs was leaking and I confessed that that would be a good "possibility", because once he removed the old pipe he noticed a steady trickle of water (and it shouldn't have been one). Mike asked if I'd like him to check out the bathroom upstairs to see if there's a leak. "Might as well, since you're here."Sure enough, the toilet bowl had a steady (but so slight) swirl of water in the bowl and Mike said "See that? There's the leak."I told him to go ahead and fix it. It took him less than fifteen minutes and i'm sure he saved me some money on my water bill.Overall, I am well pleased with the work performed by Aleck Plumbing and very pleased with Mike's professionalism and customer service prowess.

water heater sprung a leak. Called Sears first, estimate was about a thousand, but they couldn't schedule it anytime soon, plus, I didn't like the heavy sales pitch.Looked up Alec Plumbing on Angies list, called them, and scheduled them to come out a couple of days later. The were on time, the water heater was installed and the final price was exactly as quoted. Will use them again in the future.

An ejector pump that I installed failed. Aleck's employee, Dave, came out and realized that the broken pump might still be under warranty. He took out the bad ejector pump for me and suggested that I take it back where I got it from for an exchange. Dave then rescheduled his service for the next day. I exchanged the pump that day and Dave installed it the next. Dave's suggestion saved me hundreds of dollars, and I'm pretty certain most plumbers would NOT have suggested this. I experienced great customer service, prompt arrival time, and a professional installation. I highly recommend Aleck Plumbing.

After a past history of a negative experience with another plumbing company, a neighbor recommended Aleck Plumbing to me. The customer service person at Aleck Plumbing was polite and friendly, and after setting up an appointment for a service call, I was optimistic that there would be a positive outcome to my plumbing issues. I was not disappointed! Mack the plumber arrived on time, as scheduled, and throughout the service call, he was very professional, helpful and friendly. After reviewing the two issues, i.e., my toilet and my bathroom sink, he gave me best-case and worst-case quotes, both of which sounded very reasonable to me. Fortunately, the best-case scenario prevailed, which was that my sink had a large clog that was quickly removed and did not require more expensive pipe repairs. The toilet and the sink were both fixed in about an hour. Mack gave me some helpful advice, answered all of my questions, and he cleaned up everything afterward. I was delighted to have my bathroom back in working order, and also to have had such a positive experience with this company. Living in a "vintage" house, with ancient plumbing, I anticipate plumbing issues in the future, and Aleck Plumbing will be my number one contact.

He arrived on time and was very professional. After diagnosing the problem, he explained what needed to be done prior to doing it and told me exactly how much it would cost so there were no surprises other than it took him less than 30 mins to complete the job. At the rate of $500/hour, I think I need to change careers.

Dan arrived on time and was courteous and efficient. He spent over an hour and a half making sure that the drains were all clear and even cleaned hair out of the shower drain. He was friendly and was not bothered by my overseeing and questions. I will use this company for all my future plumbing needs. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic experience with Aleck Plumbing from start to finish. The person who answered the phone was able to answer all of my questions immediately. They quoted a competitive price and a labor warranty (6 years) that far exceeded what other companies were offering (1 year). They were able to schedule a same-day appointment and when an earlier appointment window opened, they called back and offered to come out at that time, which was very helpful. The plumber who did the work was meticulous and thorough. He also noticed and corrected a code violation in the way our humidifier was connected. This added an extra $85 to the cost of the job, but the attention to detail was appreciated. The job was completed quickly and we're very satisfied with the results.

Their work was outstanding, professional, and done on time. The estimates were exactly what we paid. They were clear about the projects' needs and possible complications. After the work was done, they did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site and returning it to its original condition (as much as possible).

Dan did a good job and did not have to cut a hole in my ceiling. He does good work and I like him. He's courteous and is a nice guy. I have used him before. His price is in line with everyone else. He's not super cheap, but I know he does a good job. He came the next day after I called him and he was on time. He's a real personable person.

Although it only took him a couple of hours to solve the problem, the issue is still ongoing because the insurance company has not yet agreed on whether or not they'll pay the total amount. As far as the person who came in and did the job, he was very professional and knowledgeable.
