Pella Windows and Doors

I thought the company had an excellent product, they weren't pushy and they told us to take our time in deciding which doors we wanted. They gave us several options on payments because they do take payments. My husband and I decided, we called them back and they remeasured to make sure they had the same measurements. They made the special doors so it was 3 weeks to a month. They installed them. They were clean, friendly and very nice people.

Crew of 6-7 came in and completed the installation same day. Minimal disturbance within the house. Polite, professional installers. Better experience than I expected.

The overall experience was excellent. It was a windy sunny day. A crew of 4 came about 9:30 A.M. and were completely finished at 6:00 P.M. The work was done professionally and neatly. The crew leader kept me informed about everything that was happening. The cleanup was complete and they left with a job well done.

I wasn't overly thrilled with our salesman. He came the day after fall daylight savings time, but since he hadn't changed his clock, he came an hour early. I was in the shower. He left a message on my anserwing machine that he was here for our appointment and since I wasn't home he was leaving. When I got the message I called him back and even when he conceded that he'd been to my house an hour too early he acted like I was imposing on him to expect him to come back at our correct appointment time. Plus, there were details that he didn't explain to us. The knob we have now can't be locked from the inside before leaving. You can only go out and then lock the door behind you with the key. This is pretty inconvenient and according to the installers we could have gotten a different lock, but the sales rep didn't explain that to us. The installation went smoothly and we like the door a lot, but I wouldn't use the same salesman again.

They were very professional, they came on time, and they did a great job.

It could not have gone more smoothly. After talking with numerous contractors, we found Pella's price and financing to be far better deals than anyone else could offer. We set the date for installation, the crew came out on time and finished ahead of schedule.

Well, I am not sure I even have the correct office to report on. I have 6 different phone numbers that I used to phone Pella. I started with an 877 number, then was subsequently given an 800 number, 866 number, 847 number and 2 630 numbers. My initial appointment was scheduled for 9/27/10. That morning I received a call that the Pella rep was out sick, could I please phone back to re-schedule. That led to all the different numbers. I had to cancel the second appointment because of a family emergency. I think I was originally scheduled from Northbrook, but ended up in West Chicago. I did speak to two very helpful women along the way, Heather at the 866 number and Fran at the 630 number, but it was very frustrating overall. We eventually arranged an appointment time and Bill came out to speak with us and give us an estimate. He was helpful and informative. We liked that he did not trash talk the competition, but instead helped us understand the whole confusing world of window replacement and what our options were. The Pella estimate was in the mid range of estimates we received. We decided not to use Pella because of all the frustration in scheduling an appointment. Our concern was that we would have the same frustrating experience if we ever had a problem with our windows or door and needed response from Pella.

Took advantage of a great deal of 75% off installation, and a discount for paying cash. Great sales team came out to assess the job, including our original salesperson for another project we did two years ago. The installers get right down to business and keep on the job to get it perfect, as one of them commented after it was finished. They resolved an exterior problem we had had with the windows tearing into the fascia of our gutters by finishing off the outside borders of the windows to try to match to previous job, and replacing that continuous strip of fascia that interfered, as part of the job. They didn't leave behind an exhorbitant amount of dust, as they use dropcloths for the most part, and they got the job done in one day.

They were very efficient, very professional and cleaned up well after themselves.

It just turned out that their price was higher than another estimate we got. We were also looking for a different style of windows. Otherwise, they were fine.

Needed some custom built windows for the Living room and Kitchen. The windows are just beautiful and the install team was very professional and did an excellent job. I can feel the change in the temp in the house. The house is now much more energy efficient.

They did a good job with going over all the features and accessories. It was complex building material and there were a lot of options, they explained all the options very well. They delivered on time when they said they would, everything went well.

Their estimate was fine, but we ended up going with another company. We didn't go directly through Pella to purchase and install the windows, but we used Pella brand windows. We used a contractor because we just got a better number from him. It was basically about price since we used the same product. Pella Windows and Doors were professional. The salesman came out and did the measurements and followed up. He was very thorough and very personable, but he couldn't match the other guy's price. We would consider using them in the future.

My experience was great with them. The customer service was excellent.

They came out to do the installation on the promised date. They had to come back in after a couple of days as somebody has misentered the type of wood that had to be used for the trim. It took an extra three weeks for the work to finish because of this.

Everyone was very concerned on getting the job done right. I am very pleased with the quality of the Pella windows. I worked with a sales person named Jim Becker. He wanted to make sure I could come to him as being the front man. It was very nice to have one contact to go to through this process.

Although the estimate was higher than other companies, Pella was one of the few companies that would deal with screen doors, rather than suggesting that I buy new ones. Although the job took longer than expected, Pella worked long and hard to get the job done. Almost everything went as expected, except that we were unable to re-use the door hardware (locks & knobs) which necessitated a quick trip to the hardware store. I'm very happy with the finished product - no cold air seeps around the door anymore, and the screens close better than before!

The experience was terrific. They did a good presentation at the house and I also had gone to their display area in their office. Everything went really well. They said the work will take one to two days and it was done in two days. I don't think their price was cheap, but, looking around I don't think it was outrageous too.

sales person came out and measured ,explained the options available and gave us the actual price with installation. We had Pella do the upper level of our house 3 years ago and we were very impressed with the quality of the product, so now all our windows are Pella.

We had great service with the initial installation. The windows are beautiful and the installation was good. However, we had a few issues with some key points. We decided to stain the doors ourselves and asked them if we should stain the doors prior to hanging them. Pella said no but in the end they had to come out and remove them because it wasn't possible to get to every area of the door with them hung. We also had a leak in one of the windows. It was pretty obvious that it was coming from the window. However, it wasn't until my husband got on the roof and aimed the hose at the window that they believed us. They fixed the problem.

They were great to deal with. The door is great. It makes the house look a lot nicer.

I came across them on Angie's List. The showed up on time and got the job done reasonably quickly. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves. There were no problems with the workers; they did everything they were supposed to do.

Salesman, Rey Hammad, pitched to us at our home and in store front, he seemed very receptive and professional at this time. We chose to pay in full at signing contract to receive discount. Installation day arrived: first problem-two windows were ordered incorrectly by salesman, confessed his error and ordered replacements, second problem-salesman said he'd honor $100 coupon I received, but didn't seem to mean it. Second installation day came, windows were incorrect again, salesman confessed his responsibility for this error, but was much less receptive to correcting it, it took him months to order the replacements. When I asked about the refund, I was told a refund check for $100 would be mailed to me. It took more that 5 calls and e-mails to get no satisfactory response regarding why the replacement windows weren't ordered and why the check had not arrived. At which point, I went to the sales manager's supervisor, Ben Perkins, as the sales manager was on vacation. Supervisor apologized for inconvenience caused by salesman, and worked at correcting error and securing $100 refund. The third problem-after involving supervisor, Rey Hammad called us twice in one night between the hours of 2am and 5am, saying nothing, just waking us up. I spoke with supervisor about this as well. Five months after paying in full, my project was finally finished. I wish I spent my money elsewhere.

They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They were very punctual and professional. They kept the place clean and were on time. The price was a little high but the service was great. I will use them again if I m in need of windows.

We had asked them for an estimate. He came to the house and we requested a second estimate with different windows. He never responded with quotes and we never heard from them again.
