Pella Windows and Doors

Bud Noel from the Orland Park office came out and gave me an estimate. He gave me a discount and I told him that we would get the work done in July. I will write another review when the job is done.

They came out and installed a lot of windows for me. They were the wrong stain and I called them and they came out and reinstalled the windows. They stand behind their work. They tell you that they will make it right and they do. They have 110% satisfaction guaranteed. I would refer them to anyone.

I thought they were very professional & good at cleaning up after themselves. I also liked their product.

The Pella representative was very responsive and gave a lot of information.

It was a very positive experience. Three points we really like. First, in Illinois, they now require replacement windows have a lead paint test be done and certain disposal technicians. Pella simply included this without charging extra and they did clean up well. Next, If they found a problem like rotten wood around the frames, they would fix this or square it up. They included this to more of a degree than the other estimators did. Third, they were able to get the windows all done in one day. This was important since you never know the temperature in November and we did not want to be cold in winter or have animals crawling in our basement

A sales woman from Pella, and the owner of their contracting service came out to give an estimate on 3 windows and 1 patio door in my condominium. They were polite, friendly, and right to the point. They carefully explained the product, and what I had to do that was specific to my town's sound ordinances. This was something no other company had done. They didn't badger or press for a sale, and we're very understanding I wanted to explore my options. The only reason I did not go with Pella came down to the price. Without a doubt I think you are paying a premium for the Pella name. If they were more in my budget, I would have been excited to work with them.

It went awesome, from the sales guy Scott to the installers. I really liked the two installers they had come to the house. They were very professional and clean. They a had solutions to the small mishaps my house gave them. All around excellent job and we are very satisfied

We replaced two picture windows and the kitchen window with Pella Impervia windows. Once we agreed on a price, the installation went smoothly. The installation crew was on time, worked all day; and did an outstanding job. Afterwards they cleaned up the area that exceed my expectations.

Pella was a great company to do business with. Their sales force, installers and customer service people were all very professional. I knew exactly what I was getting and what it would cost. I ordered the fiberglass impervia windows and fiberglass doors which are different to install so I was glad to know I was getting installers familiar with this product and experienced in the installation. I would not have trusted a home store or other company who had not previously installed this product. I was able to get a big discount by paying in advance and wasn't worried about doing so becasue I was dealing with a professional company. It all turned out well and the windows open and close easily. The doors also work well and look attractive. The installers willingly did all the extras I asked for such as reinstalling the storm door and using 3" screws on the door jam.

The process from estimate to installation was seamless and definitely one of the best experiences we've ever had dealing with a company. Our sales consultant was both punctual and informative during the consultation, and maintained good communication with us throughout the process (he even stopped by on the actual day of installation to make sure everything was going according to schedule). The installation was scheduled and politely confirmed by the job coordinator. Come the big day, the most competent two man crew we've ever met arrived as promised and ready to work. We live in the city and it can be challenging to receive deliveries and secure workcrew parking, but they set up their equipment and were very responsive to making sure our neighbors were minimally impacted by their truck. They were friendly, polite, and made quick work of removing the old door and three transom windows; in a matter of six hours the new door and transom was installed and working great. We would definitely would hire them again, and in fact need another new window which we already quoted out for replacement, as proof. Our new door and transom is not only more energy efficient, but provides better noise dampening-- it and Pella were well worth the investment.

Everything went fine. The door is beautiful and is of good quality. I liked the style. They did a real good job. I am just real happy with it. It was kind of expensive.

the marvin windows we were comparing to were MUCH more expensive, so we thought we were getting a good deal. i guess you really do get what you pay for.

I paid $7000 and it was for 7 windows. I couldn’t recommend them more. They were courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. They did the job in the time they said they were going to do it. They were professional all the way around.

They were professional and everything. The price was just to much.

Pella Windows and Door Company were very patient when I changed my mind several times. They went above and beyond what was expected.

A great experience from the extremely comprehensive and knowledgeable sales rep (Andrew) to outstanding follow-up service to professional, competent, and outstanding installers.

Salesman was thorough and personable. Pella installers were professional and knew what they were doing. Install went quickly. Doors look good. Only problem was that the installation of the door in the kitchen resulted in a high threshold. salesman said threshold would be 1 3/4 inches high Actual height is 2 3/8 inches high. I feel this is high and is a tripping hazard. Pella did respond to my concerns promptly. After talking with installer they stated that the door had to be installed that way because of the structure of the opening. My response was that the previous door did not have a high threshold and the structure had not changed. They stated that there was nothing that they could do. So I have to decide what to do with the door. Replace the door and take a financial loss or leave it and hope no one trips over the threshold and breaks their hip. I would not recommend Pella.

All the people were nice and tried to be helpful. Pella wanted to get the job completed properly but it seemed like it took to many visits. They need to send extra wood for trim and extra supplies rather than not enough so the job can be completed in 1 visit. I would still recommend the company because they made sure the work was completed correctly and the window is great.

I've got to hand it to Pella -- outstanding professionalism and service quality.A few months ago, I left a message at a Pella store in the region, I sent an email to the corporate web site, and I spoke with someone at their corporate call center --- all in an effort to have someone come to my house and give me an assessment on window replacement. I was 0 for 3. No one returned my calls. After one more call, I received a call from a manager at their West Chicago location. He apologized for the lack of response to my inquiries and offered to have a crew come to my house to do some complimentary service work.We agreed on a date. A few days before they gave me an approximate time. One crew showed up and then another crew showed up. Very professional. They were wearing Pella jackets, they put on booties so that they wouldn't track mud in the house, and better than that -- very professional and courteous. Everything you could ask for in a professional service.They serviced the windows, gave us counsel and what needs additional repair, etc.

They did a good job. The windows are all in. They went over of how to work on very quickly that very day. I had to keep going through their papers and reading up on it, like they assumed you know how to work on it. They worked very well though. They were on time and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. It’s just that they didn’t take the time to go through the papers with me.

Upon inspection and after installation, two of them could not be locked due to latch misalignment and additional 7 had some degree of misalignment. Installers assured me there were no problems and since they finished their job around 7:30 PM I did not have a chance to inspect their job thoroughly. Next day I noted below average caulking job in slightly gray shade - my widows are white.. When I called main Pella number I was directed to a local installer whose employee completely ignored my request for inspection. After a couple of more phone calls someone with a little more sense scheduled an earlier inspection. Service people came late so I could not discuss my problems with them and simply re-drilled windows for a new latch location and considered their job done. I have send a certified letter with my concerns and in response someone call me and offered me to "stop by and take a look at caulking". No further communication took place. I would not recommended neither Pella product ,nor this installer.

The experience was excellent. We had three different people do estimates. They were the most responsive in regards to the information that they gave us and the follow up. They followed up once we decided. They were very responsive in giving us the information on when they were going to come and approximately the time they were going to get here and informative on the process. They were responsive on giving information on the product and the process itself. The price was probably up there with the higher ones. We could have probably gotten a little lower price.

The subs arrived on time and went straight to work. They were very professional and polite. They did the install very quickly. We had one minor glitch when Com Ed decided to shut the power off to my neighborhood for an hour. The installers continued to work without the power tools and do what they could by hand. I would recommmend the crew that I had to anyone. They were excellent. The finished product looks beautiful. I feel my house is very secure with my new door. I love it!!!

It went really smoothly. The windows look nice. We had no problems with their services.

Prompt consultation with Ivan, a 10yr Pella employee. I went with Pella due to their 3 yr, no interest financing promotion, high reviews for the windows I selected on consumer reports, transferrable warranties for defects, etc. Ivan listened to all our needs and made recommendations on what type of windows/doors would look best for the house in our price range. Took about a month for the windows to be made and took 1 day for a crew of 5 to install everything. Really made the house look so much nicer and cooler than the old metal frames that were up for past 55 years. They also installed and caulked nice looking frames inside and outside depending on the window. Vinyl frames look like painted wood. Bathroom has a no-see clouded glass. All windows are double-paned with argon gas for improved insulation and uv ray blocking. The new front door has a small window that I wanted - door looks amazing. They even installed a new combination security lock I bought beforehand on Amazon - the lock had high reviews on consumer reports. Overall, I am extremely happy with this company and the installers. Another Angie's List success for me!
