Mike was great when it came to pricing out the repair of our floating wood floor. He was extremely thorough, knowledgable and pleasant. He was extremely professional (very punctual and followed through on everything he said). He also seemed invested in doing great work at a great price.

They laid the new hardwood floor and it went extremely smoothly. They moved all the furniture for me and even put cloth disks on the bottoms of the furniture. Very pleased.

We are extremely happy with the work done by Nex Flooring and with our beautiful ?new? wood floor! We have a 100 year old bungalow which had old pine planks as a subfloor in our attic but when we remodeled we decided to reclaim the old subfloor as our ?new? final floor. Our general contractor?s wood guy wasn?t sure about taking on such a project and left us with more questions than answers. After several quotes we knew Mike at Nex Flooring was the company for us. Mike?s extensive knowledge of reclaimed wood gave us great comfort and confidence, not to mention they were reasonably priced. Once our job started and we met Mike's father Bill and his team we knew we were in good hands! All questions and concerns were always addressed and they were always professional. I placed a call to this provider inquiring about their services, but I never received a call back.

I was very pleased with Nex flooring and the job that they did for me. I initially contacted Nex Flooring via Angie's List message center. I wanted to get a quote for removing laminate flooring in the family room and replacing it hardwood flooring. Mike replied to my email inquiry in a timely manner and we agreed on a day and time for him to visit my home for a quote. Unlike most other contractors I have dealt with, Mike called me while he was the way to keep me posted that he might be a few minutes late. He took the measurements for a quote and, again, sent it to me on a timely manner. We agreed on a price which was very fair. In turn, Mike established a day to start the project. A few days before the start of the project, Mike's dad, Bill, delivered the wood to my home to allow it to "acclimate to the environment." He was very friendly and helpful. On the day the project was schedules to start, Bill arrived with two other workman arrived right on time. As soon as they started to remove the laminate, they discovered that there was particleboard under the laminate...rather than plywood, which is required for laying hardwood flooring. This was going to be an unexpected expense of removing the particleboard, purchasing plywood and cutting/installing the plywood. Bill and I went to HomeDepot and I purchased the plywood and Mike gave me fair price for the labor involved. The workmen did a great job of installing the hardwood flooring. They applied four sample stains on the hardwood that allowed me to make a decision on which one I likes best. They did a great job of sanding, staining and applying three coats of water-based protection. I would use Nex flooring again, In fact, I plan to do so.

It when well. The estimator came over and measured the floors one evening. He later sent me an estimated. I agreed and paid half as a down payment. The materials were ordered and delivered. The wood was in my hose for 3 days to acclimatized. One worker installed the floors in 2 days. On the third day two workers came and stained the floors and put on two top coats. On the fourth a final topcoat was applied.

Fantastic job. I wish I had checked on Angie's prior to using the previous company. Nex flooring was way superior to the previous work. This seems like a family run business and the owner personally came to help install. They also provided sound advice on some of the changes we wanted. Very honest and sincere recommendation. Definitely recommend them. The only issue was that I had to wait almost a month to get an appointment. I am ok with that as the work was great.

Very well. They were punctual. They finished on time. Mike kept me up-to-date with the progress. He set my expectations and they delivered. Great experience. And the floors look amazing!!

We could not be happier with the installation of our flooring. Not a single problem or issue with the whole job from start to finish.

We accepted their contract last week and decided to hire them. The guy is nice, seems knowledgeable, and came out when he said he was going to. His price was reasonable and we have not had the work done yet. We had a hard time finding the material we wanted and we bought the material outright so we weren’t going through a sales and installation company, which made it difficult because a lot of flooring places are sales and installation. They quoted us almost $3000. They will be doing it in the next four weeks. We had a hard time finding a retailer for cork floors and we had a hard time finding someone that had experience with it, most people were willing to do it, to do hardwood floors. I am not sure if he has specifically installed cork flooring before but he seemed knowledgeable about the whole process, so we thought he could handle it.

Mike returned my call promptly and arrived on time for the appointment. He asked a lot of questions about my preferences and said he would provide a few options for me to consider. He was the only contractor to break down the quote as I asked so that I could compare them. His price was, unfortunately about 30% higher than the others I received. Since my current engineered floor was old and builders quality, we weren't sure it could be refinished successfully. Mike's estimate (excluding wood flooring) for labor to remove the current floor was $1,500 and to install a new floor in the existing 300 sq ft area was $3,600. To remove the 310 sq ft carpet and install a subfloor and new engineered wood, the cost was $4,700. If his price was in my budget, I would have used him because he seemed the most dependable of the contractors I spoke with.

Mike arrived as agreed to provide us with an estimate. He was straightforward, polite, professional and knowledgable. He gave a competitive estimate. He subsequently sent a written estimate and reduced the amount originally quoted further. His worker arrived on time at the appointed date. He completed the job within the day. We would have preferred to have more workers so that the job could have been completed faster and we didn't have to be homebound for the whole day. But in the end the worker did an overall good job and was courteous and cleaned up after he completed the job. It was a good overall experience.

The gentleman from Nex Flooring came out immediately after I had called them to arrange a date. He was very professional, went through, and wasn't pushy in trying to sell me anything. There was just something with him that I felt more comfortable compared tho the competitors. He had gotten back to me with emails promptly or with calls once I had made the decision to to with Nex Flooring so the follow up has been good. I did call one of the references he gave me and the gentleman that used him previously was satisfied.

Awesome customer service and outstanding professionalism. Very high quality of work and materials provided. On-time and polite. Did a really good job with cleaning during the installation. Provided advice on caring for the floor as well as other useful tips. Overall a pleasure to work with and exceptional quality!

Had Mike come out and give me an estimate. I had one other contractor come out as well. Mike is very knowledgable and easy to work with, however his estimate was a few hundred more than the estimate. I explained I would like to work with him if he was willing to come closer to the other estimate which he gladly did. I had all 3 floors sanded and refinished and the tile torn out in kitchen and foyer. Mike was easy to get ahold of, got the work done in a reasonable about of time, and was professional throughout the process.

All phases went very well. They were timely for the scheduled proposal as well as timely with all follow-up.

There was a scratch when we were moving the furniture. They tried to fix the scratch and that did not work. They came back and did a partial one saying that it matched up 90%, but it is not matched up the way they said it would. They did a good job on the first refinishing part. Then, what they told me they could do to match up the floor, they could not do that. They stopped at one board of the flooring and started somewhere else. If you are having a whole floor refinished, they probably do a good job. Even they were a little sloppy, they got all of my baseboards. I told them I was going to redo the baseboards, but I did not tell them I was going to redo all of the trim. So, they got all the trims and repainted all that. They were here on time when they were supposed to be, but after we scratched the floor and wanted them to come back, they kept rescheduling hours behind other projects that came up with more money. I was very disappointed by that. He was only available through email and it took him several days, even a week, sometimes to get back. This whole thing took four months. .

We will definitely use him when we are ready to install the wood floors.

From day one, these guys were professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. There were a number of delays caused by our supplier. We received flooring that was slightly off. Rather than simply installing it, they brought it to my attention and halted work. It would have been much easier for them to simply continue to install. When they came to an uneven part of the floor, they halted work again and called me. It may have been bit inconvenient to rush back form the office to discuss what others would see as a small matter, but I appreciated it. This is just one small example of where they put the quality of the job ahead of quick completion and easy profit. These guys are not contractors. They are old-world craftsmen that take pride in their work. I only wish they did more than flooring.

Meeting with Mike was straightforward. His estimate was fair and clearly presented. Scheduling work was easy and material choices were high quality. The work was completed in a timely manner and the cleanup was done well. Overall a very good experience.

They were very nice and it looks good, but the color does not match the rest of the floor. They put it down originally and it matched but after they refinished, it did not. They should have known they would need to put down at least three stains to make it match
