Nex Flooring

THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER 2005 IN SEVERAL DAYS AS EXPECTED, THE FLOORING IS BEAUTIFUL. HOWEVER, A FEW MONTHS AFTER IT WAS LAID PROBLEMS STARTED. IT STARTED WITH SQUEAKING IN A FEW SPOTS THEN A FLOOR BOARD CAVED IN AND THEN DISCOLORATION IN SEVERAL OF THE BOARDS. MIKE AND I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT REGARDING THE PROBLEMS BUT IN THE END RESULT I REQUESTED A REFUND, HE REFUSED AND WANTS TO FIX THE FLOOR. I FEEL THE FLOOR IS DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL AND/OR INSTALLATION.

The experience was great. It's a father and son operation, and the son is the salesman. The father and a helper do the work. They were nice and professional and did everything they said they would said they do.

Nex did a fantastic job. They were very easy to work with, professional and on time. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to have floors installed or refinished.

Another glowing review for Nex Flooring... Mike and his father are a pleasure to do business with. They did an excellent job for me. I could not find a speck of dust after they finished. My floors look beautiful. Mike returned all my calls and my e-mails promptly. His father helped me move my furniture. Nex is a family business with, I think, one crew. You probably will not get them to work for you immediately. But based on my experience, it is worthwhile waiting for them.

Nex Flooring is absolutely sensational, and their price was lower than the other company I called. My floors and stairs are beautiful! They were prompt, helpful, courteous, and professional. The job was started and finished as promised with no surprises. They really took pride in their work and are completely trustworthy. My wife and I work, and we just gave them access to the house with no problems. I was really impressed with how clean and neat they were, and there was essentially no dust in other areas of the house from the sanding process. These are great people to work with, and I highly recommend them.

Mike and his team was very professional and did a great job on my floors. They came out at a convenient time to provide an estimate and after I asked them to do the work, they finished the job promptly. The floors look terrific - I had some water damage and warping, but there is no sign of it now and they cleaned up after they finished the work so there is no dust to speak of. I would definitely recommend Nex to anyone who needs someone to work on hardwood floors.

I was looking for just a buff and one re-coat of varnish. No sanding since my floors are already in good shape, just a maintenance touch up. Mike and his father were very prompt, courteous, and honest. I was thoroughly impressed with their knowledge and experience and would have hired them but their price was just too high. If the price was lower, I definitely would have hired them, but I found a more competitive price elsewhere.

Nex did an excellent job for us! The finished job was high quality at a very competitive price. Our primary contact was Mike Nex, who was very helpful in educating us about floors and wood, and was always responsive to our calls, questions and requests. He readily offered to meet us at our house whenever we needed to get together. His father is quite knowledgeable about flooring and also provided good information to us. (It's a family operation and his brother did the installation.) Their primary supplier had some difficulties in getting the specific hardwood product we wanted so eventually Mike found the same wood in the same grade in a slightly different style from another supplier. We liked this alternative and while it was a more expensive product, Mike provided it to us at no add to the original quoted cost. Bottom line, if a friend or family member was looking to install flooring, I would recommend Nex without reservation.

Their work was beautiful and immaculate. Dust was an absolute minimum. They were efficient, responsive, prompt and helpful. Their estimate was accurate. Nex did everything promised and even more. Nex is the best service company we have ever used. Our friends, relatives, neighbors had the same extremely positive experience. We highly recommend Nex.

AWESOME! Their prices were lower than two other firms that I had quoted and the floors look absolutely amazing. My husband and I are ''do-it-yourselfers'' but we decided to hire a professional because our main concern was that the floors match the rest of the house. They offered us several stains and finishes for which we could choose the best match. They were prompt, professional, and very concerned about our satisfaction. They made sure to tape the room off from the rest of the house and as a result, the dust was minimal. Also, about a week after they finished, we moved our appliances back in the room and the refrigerator scratched the floor. When we called them, they came out that evening, spending an hour working with me to fix the scratches until I was satisfied. They did not charge for this either. Also, I have shared photos of my floors with family and colleagues and they are amazed, unable to identify ''new'' vs. ''old''.

Although we chose to go with another company because of a substantially lower bid, Nex Flooring was great. Mike and John were very responsive to calls, arrived promptly for the estimate, and were extremely pleasant and professional. If cost wasn't an issue for us we would've been very comfortable with Nex.

THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, AND WERE VERY NEAT ABOUT TRASH REMOVAL. THE FLOORS LOOK FANTASTIC, AS IF THEY WERE NEW INSTEAD OF 125 YEARS OLD. JOHN AND MIKE WERE VERY FLEXIBLE, AGREEING TO REPLACE A STEP THAT DIDN'T MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS, AND THEY FINISHED THE JOB ONTIME AND ON BUDGET. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.

VERY PROFESSIONAL FROM BEGINNING TO END - THIS FAMILY OWNED COMPANY DID A BEAUTIFUL FLOORING JOB FOR US. THE ENTIRE PROCESS WAS SMOOTHLY PLANNED AND COORDINATED, THE END RESULTS WERE EXCELLENT, AND THE ENTIRE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED EXACTLY ON TIME. THEY ALSO PERFORMED ADDITIONAL SMALL REPAIRS AT NO EXTRA COST TO US.

MIKE AND FAMILY WERE AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, ACCOMMODATING, AND CAME EACH MORNING AT THE TIME SPECIFIED. THE BRAZILIAN CHERRY HARDWOOD FLOORING THAT WAS LAID IS GORGEOUS. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WORKMANSHIP. THANK YOU MIKE AND FAMILY.

Wonderful experience from estimate through completion. Everyone at Nex Flooring was very knowledgeable, professional and took great pride in their work. They completed the job on time and on budget. They used dust less sanding equipment, which I think probably reduces the amount of dust by 99%. (We had a very bad experience with another contractor who installed our hardwood floors. That contractor did not use dust less sanding equipment, and it took us months to rid our home of all the dust.) Most importantly, our floors look terrific! We have done a lot of remodeling in our town home and have had some very good and very bad experiences with contractors. Our experience with Nex Flooring was among the very best.

I SPOKE WITH MIKE NECS ON FRIDAY AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM TO COME OUT & GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE TO RE-FINISH MY FLOORS. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT MY HOUSE ON SATURDAY AT 3PM....... NEVER SHOWED, NEVER CALLED. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL. EVEN IF HE CALLED NOW, I WOULDN'T USE HIM. PLENTY OF OTHER PEOPLE ON THIS LIST WHO WANT BUSINESS, IF HE DOESN'T.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE, PRICE, QUALITY, AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THIS FAMILY OWNED COMPANY. THE WORK WAS FINISHED WITHIN 4 DAYS AND THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS GREAT. THEY ALSO CLEANED UP AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

THEY WERE WONDERFUL! THEY WERE ON TIME AND POLITE, THEY CAME OUT TWICE IN ONE DAY FOR AN ESTIMATE TO SHOW UP MORE SAMPLES. THEY DID SOME EXTRA WORK FOR US (MOVE FURNITURE) BECAUSE IT WAS JUST MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM! THEIR PRODUCTS ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS FIRST RATE FROM THE ESTIMATE TO JOB COMPLETION. MIKE WAS PUNCTUAL FOR EVERY APPOINTMENT, AVAILABLE BY PHONE AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ON-TIME, LOOKS GREAT AND THERE WAS NOT A SPEC OF DUST IN THE HOUSE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS. WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN!

MIKE & JOHN ARE TRUE PROFESSIONALS. THEY ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. BEING A STAY-AT-HOME PARENT OF OUR 8 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER, IT WAS IMPORTANT TO US TO FIND SOMEONE WHO HAD A DUSTLESS SANDING EQUIPMENT. FUMES FROM THE STAIN/FINISH WERE ALSO A CONCERN FOR US, BUT MIKE AND JOHN WERE QUICK TO RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS THAT WERE PRACTICALLY ODORLESS. MIKE & JOHN WERE PUNCTUAL, HARDWORKING, AND THEY KEPT TO THEIR TIMELINE. WE WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN, AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. OH... AND OUR FLOORS AND STAIRS LOOK BEAUTIFUL!

WONDERFUL. MIKE CAME OUT FOR FREE ESTIMATE, AND ARRIVED ON TIME. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WILLING TO TAKE TIME TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. THEY USE ''DUSTLESS'' EQUIPMENT, BUT STILL SEAL OFF ALL OPEN AREAS. I DIDN'T FIND ANY DUST IN MY HOUSE FROM THE SANDING PROCESS. NEW WATER-BASED SEALING LETS YOU WALK ON FLOORS WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF FINISHING. FLOORS LOOK GREAT!

THEY REQUESTED THAT WE HANDLE ALL FURNITURE MOVING SO THEY COULD INSTALL A ROOM AT A TIME, WHICH WE DID. EXTREMELY CONSCIENTIOUS AND HIGH QUALITY WORK, VERY COURTEOUS AND CLEAN -- COULD REALLY NOT ASK THEM TO DO ANYTHING ANY BETTER. BUSINESS OWNERS (FATHER & SONS) SELF-PERFORMED ALL WORK. WHEN REMOVING CARPET ON THE STAIRS BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND FLOOR, THEY FOUND A BROKEN BOARD ON THE LANDING THAT WAS HIDDEN UNDER THE CARPET. THEY QUICKLY FOUND A WAY TO REPAIR THIS AND CHARGED A VERY MINIMAL EXTRA TO DO THE WORK. BASE PRICE FOR MAIN FLOORING PROJECT WAS VERY COMPETITIVE WITH HOME DEPOT, SO HIRING THESE FOLKS WAS AN EASY DECISION TO MAKE SURE IT WAS DONE RIGHT WITH NO HASSLES. WE WERE HAPPY TO GIVE THEM A GENEROUS TIP FOR AN OUTSTANDING JOB WELL DONE.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND PLEASANT, BUT THEIR ESTIMATE--EMAILED TO ME EXACTLY AS PROMISED--WAS SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER THAN OTHERS. WE ULTIMATELY CHOSE A LOWER BID.

NEX FLOORING IS ONE OF THE BEST CONTRACTORS WE HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON-TIME, TO-THE-DOT. THEIR TIME ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB WAS RIGHT ON THE MONEY AS WELL. THEY FINISHED THE JOB IN THE EXACT TIME THAT THEY HAD ESTIMATED, EVEN AFTER WE INCREASED THE SCOPE OF THEIR PROJECT. THESE FOLKS ARE LEGITIMATE, AND GENUINE IN THEIR APPROACH TO THE JOB. THEY HAVE BEEN PRETTY RESPONSIVE ON THE SUPPORT OF THEIR QUALITY OF WORK AS WELL. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THEY'RE A BUNCH OF HONEST FOLKS WHO WANT TO EARN AN HONEST LIVING.
