+ -1 moreI had a sitter here when they did the work so perhaps because I wasn't here to give explicit directions, some things didn't get cleaned the way I wanted, but they did a good job overall. I would like to hire them back at a time when I could direct the cleaning a little better.

+ -1 moreShe was very prompt in arriving and was willing to do all types of cleaning that I asked - including cleaning stained ceilings, changing light bulbs, and scrubbing doors and windows. Her English was very good too, so there was not a problem with communication. The rental apt. was a mess and very dirty to start, but Anya did an amazing job. I am VERY particular and have never been very happy with cleaning services in the past. I will definitely use Anna's Cleaning in the future.
Description of Work: Anya cleaned a 4+ bedroom 2 bathroom rental apartment for us. She also cleaned the entry area for the building and a three story stairwell.

+ -1 moreAnna's cleaning sent one woman and provided their own supplies (the choice was ours) as we had moved everything out. She was on time and did not speak much English, but she understood what we said. She didn't need much instruction anyway. We needed the place scrubbed from top to bottom, and she did a fantastic job. It took longer than anticipated (about five hours), but it would have taken me twice as long, and the place is sparkling now. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Move-out cleaning for an approx. 1000 square foot coach house, including two bedrooms, bath, den, kitchen. We have a dog, so there was lots of dog hair to clean.

+ -1 moreI would not allow Anna's cleaning to wash my dog. I hired this company based upon the comments on Angie's list. It was a huge mistake. This is not a professional company. It is run part-time by a man named Derek who uses his cell phone as the office telephone. Derek must have another job, because he only returns telephone calls after 6 PM. If you try to reach him during regular business hours, he does not answer his telephone nor does he respond to pages. I confirmed the date with Derek before the appointment, and when they didn't show up he left me a message (after 6 PM of course) explaining that he received my three earlier messages and that he had written the wrong date on the appointment calendar. Derek does not check his voicemail during business hours (8-5.) I think you would be foolish to hire Anna's cleaning. I was extremely disappointed with this company.
Description of Work: I moved into a new home and hired Anna's cleaning to clean the empty home prior to moving in. I spoke to Derek twice before the arranged appointment to confirm the date and time for cleaning. They never showed up and did not respond to 2 telephone calls and one page. They finally called me 10 hours after they were supposed to arrive and said they had written down the wrong date. This company is not professional, it is a fly-by-night organization run by a man via his cell phone.

+ -1 moreAlthough we had some difficulty with the initial scheduling due to phone tag and miscommunication, when we finally scheduled, they showed up on time. They were very polite and didn't seem to mind that we have four pets. They got straight to work and were very pleasant. When we came home later, the house looked wonderful! They called to make sure that we were happy with the work and to see if we'd like to schedule regular cleaning. We immediately signed up for bi-weekly cleaning. At $60, we feel it's a real bargain.
Description of Work: Anna's came to do maintenance cleaning for us, which included a lot of things I wouldn't do on a maintenance basis: cleaning the microwave, dusting under books, scrubbing the tiles in the bathroom, etc. Our condo is a 1,000 sq. foot one bedroom with wood floors. We also have four pets who shed everywhere. Anna's charged $60 for two hours of work.

+ -1 moreVery pleased; Eva and Leila were extremely efficient and cleaned a two bedroom, two bath apartment with a large living room in 2.5 hours. They also cheerfully worked around my 82-year-old father and a cat. Derek called the night before to confirm the schedule. They are scheduled to come for three more weeks and I am definitely planning to use them again when my cleaning lady goes on vacation in December.
Description of Work: I have hired Anna's Cleaning once a week for four weeks while our regular cleaning lady/housekeeper is on vacation. I asked them to: scrub two bathrooms and kitchen from top to bottom; vacuum and dust living room and bedrooms; clean wood floors with a cleaner designed for that purpose that I provided; wash mirrors, etc.

+ -1 moreAnna's has been cleaning for us for a few months now, and we are very happy with their service. The first visit was a bit more expensive because it took them more time. It is usually the same two women that come to clean, which is important to me. They do a great job for us, and are very willing to work with our schedule as it changes. I don't believe they are bonded/insured, but any concern I have about that is outweighed by the quality of their work, their timeliness, the many positive Angie's List reports, and the fact that the company (Derek, specifically) is responsive and really easy to get in touch with if we need to.
Description of Work: Cleans our 2-story townhouse every two weeks.

The whole process was smooth -- from the time that the 2 gals initially came over to give an overall estimate for housecleaning labor hours, to Derek's quick response time for a quote. After we scheduled my 1st visit, two other gals were assigned to clean my home. They were running a bit late, but Derek called ahead of time to let me know their arrival time (very courteous). And they were SO thorough and expedient in their cleaning. They even finished early. They had done everything that I requested, so I am very pleased with this service.

Not sure if this is standard, but I had told the manager that I was moving out of the apartment, so I just assumed they'd bring their own stuff. After I bought some cleaning supplies, however, the ladies did an amazing job. They were really nice, really fast, and apologetic about the misunderstanding. Apartment was spotless after they were done.

I was getting ready for my day, and they managed to work around me until I left for work. When I returned home that evening, I was pleased to find my new home gleaming - nothing was missed. The first cleaning price was $90 and on going monthly price quoted is $65. I will absolutely be continuing service with Anna's.

The 'two Annas' arrived on time and worked together very well for four hours. They did a fantastic job! I'm ashamed to admit, that my house has never been cleaner. They worked very hard to scrub every corner, including the vent on my microwave, which I don't think has ever been cleaned. They were very polite and asked questions if unsure about how to proceed. I have used several other housecleaners (both services and individuals), but I will never use anyone else but Anna's Cleaning from now on.

+ -1 moreEva and Maria were wonderful! And i will have them back. Showed up on time, did a great job. The only thing that could have been better would have been a more accurate quote. I was quoted $55 when I told him i had a one-bedroom apt, but was not asked about the current condition and how big the place was. I think it took longer than they expected, but I was told they were paid by the job, not the time. I ended up being charged $67, WHICH I THINK IS TOTALLY FAIR!!!, THEY DID A GREAT JOB, but I think if Derek had asked more questions or told me that the price may change, would have been happier.

Description of Work: Today was Anna's second visit to clean my two story home. Her initial visit was two weeks ago and she worked solo. On that initial visit, she was here for 8 hours. The total cost on that day was $120.00 but Anna told me to deduct $10.00 since I found their service on Angie's List. Anna was on time, very friendly and extremely thorough. Today, Anna and Anna (two Anna's) showed up on time and were here cleaning for 3 hours (6 man hours total.) Cleaning included: dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, all floors washed, appliances wiped down, open bookcases dusted plus contents of the bookshelves, etc. Both ladies worked very hard and thanked me for referring one of my friends to them earlier this week.

+ -1 moreThe crew was right on time. Though I speak a tiny bit of Polish, it was not necessary (or adequate!), as both women spoke English just fine. I think, given the size of my apartment and the fact that this was a first-time cleaning for them, that the price is reasonable, though I would not be able to afford this amount ($90) every time (I plan on bimonthly). My hope is that I will get them to focus on fewer items, if possible, on future visits so that I might keep the cleanings limited to two hours. Finally, Derek, who took my initial call (or e-mail) was very quick to respond and was able to schedule the first cleaning within a matter of days.
Description of Work: General first-time housecleaning. I keep a very neat house (occupied by two humans and one long-haired dog) but cannot clean everything as much as I would like with consistency. The two young women cleaned a 2-br, 2-ba apt., with l.r., kitchen, long hallway, office, and den (1400 sq. ft.) in three hours, and I saw nothing left undone. Mirrors and interior glass doors appear to have been cleaned well. Dusting was very well done. Laminate kitchen cabinet doors were all cleaned! The baths sparkled. Please note that I left the apartment in what some might consider a very tidy state; they had little to move around, in other words. Kitchen items that I left to be handwashed in the sink were cleaned to my satisfaction, and I was impressed that the one working on the baths took the time to clean the hanging shower caddy. That's the kind of detail I need someone to pay attention to!
