+ -1 moreThey returned my call promptly and scheduled a woman named Agnes to come to the condo within a couple days of my call. On the phone, all charges and terms were explained to me fully. Agnes was wonderful! She was really pleasant and very good at what she does. It was a pleasure to meet her and to have a clean space to move into. Also, she arrived on time, was fluent in English, and finished the job within the time frame estimated to me at the beginning.
Description of Work: Deep cleaning of a 1700 square foot condo in advance of moving in. The work included hardwood and carpeted floors, 2 1/2 baths, a kitchen, baseboards and trim casings, window shades, and so on.

+ -1 moreI wish to amend my previous report. After more careful inspection, I am rather disappointed. I just took a closer look at shelves on which objects were not moved, but rather dusted around. I picked up a bottle and found a layer of dust underneath. Floors left unwashed, etc. I took the morning off of work for this service, and am most disappointed.

+ -1 moreI have a huge deep counter in my kitchen. Agnes climbs up on top of it to clean every inch. I have had 5 cleaning services within the last 4 years. I had my own cleaning service years ago and I am very fussy, as I have been told by other services. This is the first time that I have ever used Angie's List. I went for the top rated cleaning service that would come to my area. I started with them on 10/6/06 and have been using them on a weekly basis. I waited until now to submit a report, because I have found, in the past, that cleaning services usually do their best the first one or two times and then it seems to go down hill after that. I have not had that experience with this service. Agnes does an excellent job for me every week! I would highly recommend Anna's Cleaning!
Description of Work: On a weekly basis, I have my house cleaned by Anna's Cleaning. In the beginning, 10/6/06, 2 women came to clean, on a Friday. Now, only Agnes comes. I get a call Thursday evening to confirm the time for Friday. It's usually 7:00 or 8:00 AM. She is always a little early or right on time. I am charged $15.00/hour/person plus $5.00 for the mileage to my house from Chicago. The first time was $110.00. After the first time, I was able to decide what I wanted cleaned each week, because I could not afford $110.00/week, but I wanted weekly cleaning. Now, I pay between $60.00 and $80.00/week. If I need more done, I let them know ahead of time, so they can plan, and I pay more. It's so convenient for me. This week Agnes thoroughly cleaned my kitchen, living room and dining room, master bedroom and bath, and hand washed my great room hardwood floor as well as the hardwood floors in my kitchen, living room, dining room and breakfast room. She is extremely thorough.

+ -1 moreThe two ladies were prompt, polite and nice. I was accommodated fairly quickly, I needed cleaning the next day but got it the day after. I was willing to wait given most people's positive experiences. However, would rather have been told they could not accommodate me, given the obvious rush job and lack of care and cleanliness. To be fair, it seemed the ladies were unaware that I wanted deep cleaning. They told me $15x2/hr (their charge for general cleaning) and called their manager to make sure, even after they told her that it seemed to me (and obviously to them). That it was a general cleaning-she said $18, the price for the deep cleaning, I requested (this is also before I saw the black water - at which point, I just wasn't going to make a scene as it was too late. I was leaving to take house guests to the airport, and there was no time to argue, or to leave angry strangers in my home, empty though it was).
Description of Work: The floors were mopped, but over nearly 3,000 sq feet of floor space, the water was not changed, maybe 1/3 of the house was left, when I noticed the water was unchanged and black. When I pointed out dust on a surface already dusted, I was told that dust resettles. Upon coming home the house looked mopped yes, however, the floors were still filthy, no surprise. Even though I specifically requested windows sills be cleaned in every room, I am positive they were not. In the downstairs bathroom, wall dust from the drywall work, which accumulated on the bottom of the paper blinds, had not even been shaken out, let alone the sill cleaned. The bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned, however, I requested the kitchen cabinets be cleaned- when I ran my finger just inside the cabinet it was dust covered. I received a general cleaning as opposed to the deep cleaning I requested and paid for, even as a general cleaning, nothing was actually clean other than the bathrooms.

+ -1 moreTwo ladies arrived at the time that was expected; one spoke English, the other not so much. I knew to provide cleaning supplies however was not aware to supply the towels/rags. I told them up front what my expectations were and that I wanted them to pay attention to detail. They did a good job vacuuming and remembering to dust my dark wood blinds. I also told them that I have been unhappy with the quality of cleaning on my wood floors in the past. They took care in cleaning my floors from corner to corner. I considered this an interview for someone to come to my condo every other week to clean. This was the third company I've hired. I'm still looking for a cleaning person who really does a good job with detail.
Description of Work: I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo of which they did a pretty good job cleaning within 2 hours. All wood floors throughout.

+ -1 moreI called in the afternoon and Milena sent Agnes over the very next day. Agnes arrived early to her 8AM start time and was friendly, respectful, and ready to get to work- and understood English pretty well. The only problem was that Milena said I would have to pay $10 extra for Agnes to bring her own supplies, which I thought meant that she would bring her own mop, broom, vacuum cleaning brushes, bleach and cleaning detergents, etc. Agnes only had a bag full of rags and some bleach spray, so I had to gather equipment for her to use in the basement. She worked diligently with no break for 5 hours, and accomplished our mission to remove the mildew smell from the basement. I confirmed in advance that I would like to use the Angie's List coupon, and Agnes accepted it. They were quick and professional. I would recommend.
Description of Work: Cleaned the cement walls & floors, as well as ductwork overhead, in the basement, to eliminate mildew odors. They charge $18 per hour for one person, plus $10 if the cleaning crew brings her own supplies.

+ -1 moreI called Anna's with only little notice. They were polite, very responsive, and tried to meet my requirements. The two people hired were prompt and courteous. Only one could speak English, but informed the other of the work to do. They worked without stopping, cleaned with care and the condo was pretty much sparkling when they finished. A few dust spots were missed though (as I am very picky I know that I am hard to please) and when I pointed them out, they were cleaned immediately. The price was good. I would definitely recommend them and I hope to hire them on a regular basis.

The person hired was prompt, polite, and more than what I expected in experience and detail. She worked without stopping, doing mirrors, granite floors,and all the other normal stuff with great care and everything was sparkling when she finished. The price was a bargain compared to the job I received and under the circumstances. I was thrilled! I would recommend them to anyone. I hope to hire them on a regular basis.

I tried Anna's because of Angie's List and the coupon they offer to members. I will use them again. The scheduled cleaner called in sick that morning so they called me to reschedule for the next day. Unfortunately I was having people over that evening and I really needed them that day. When I told them this, they were able to schedule soemone else to come that afternoon, so it all worked out.

+ -1 moreI called about a house cleaning for a party and Derek returned our call within a day. He was responsive to our schedule, with slots in the morning or afternoon. We chose afternoon. The two women arrived right on time and went right to work. One spoke English and translated for the other. They used our cleaning products and tools; buckets, brooms, and paper towels. This was not a problem for us because of allergies to many cleaning products. The women worked very hard without a break, and were very pleasant and friendly. They scrubbed the floor on their knees, not with a mop. Very hard working. My husband asked if he could work with them, and he moved the heaviest furniture pieces so they could clean everywhere. I came home after the job was done and it was a great experience to find my house so clean. Based on this experience, we are planning to hire Anna's cleaning regularly from now on.
Description of Work: Cleaning the entire house, from removing cobwebs at the ceiling to scrubbing all floors, even under the furniture, washing inside of windows, and dusting blinds. House is 950 square feet and has living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Cleaning took 3 hours for a house that was neglected a little too long. Cost was $15 an hour per person, so $30 an hour for a crew of two.
