PASQUESI PLUMBING

This is a follow-up to my review from Aug 23, when Pasquesi responded to the failure of our hot water heater to provide a temporary fix for the weekend. As they suggested Saturday, I called them this morning at 7:00 am to schedule replacement of the hot water heater. They answered and scheduled me immediately for a 9:00-11:00 am time slot. They called me again at 8:30 am to ask if it would be OK if they arrived a few minutes early, and then arrived at 8:45 am. During installation, the crew was friendly and explained what they were going to do and when I would have my water running again. They were also very careful not to damage floors or walls in moving the new heater in and the old heater out, covering the floors with canvas tarps. All is fixed, the price seemed fair (not low, but fair) and we have hot water again. Still no call back from Ravinia Plumbing, my previous provider for 11 years, but glad we found Pasquesi on Angie's list.

We woke up this Saturday morning to find that our hot water was not working. At 7:15am, I called our plumbing company in Highland Park IL that we have have been using loyally for more than 11 years. Since it was a Saturday, the answering service answered, but said they would page the technician. A half hour later, I had heard nothing, so called again. She said she would page him again, and I should receive a call shortly. By 8:15am, I had still not received a call, so decided I'd try another plumber and went to Angie's List to check reviews. I found Pasquesi Plumbing at the top of the list and knew the name from their trucks in our area, so gave them a call. Their answering service answered and said they'd have a plumber call me shortly. Three minutes later, the phone rang, and it was George from Pasquesi. I described the problem, he informed me that he could be to our home in a few minutes, but warned me of the higher charge due to it being Saturday. I said OK, and he arrived in less than 10 minutes. George quickly identified that our hot water heater had a pinhole leak that meant it would require replacement but that the cost of replacing it on a Saturday would be too high to be worthwhile. Instead, he could relight the pilot light, which would likely get us through the weekend. He showed me how to do this myself so I could avoid the charge for the temporary fix in the future. He also showed me how to shut the water off if the leak became more excessive than a drip. In 15 minutes, all was fixed for the weekend, bill was paid, and George let us know his office would contact us Monday to replace the water heater. It was now about 8:45am, and still no contact from our other plumber. As I am writing this, it is now 9:35am and still no call. They won't be receiving any more calls from me either. Pasquesi has earned the chance to have my business for years to come. Thanks, George, for the quick and helpful service to get us through the weekend. My only complaint...and this is more an issue with the entire industry...is the higher pricing for Saturday service. I don't pay more at a retail store for Saturday shopping. I've never understood why the industry can't simply hire people who want to work on Saturdays to provide the same services that are provided every other day of the week at the same prices. If a plumbing service ever decides to do this, I have a feeling they'd win a lot of long-term customers very quickly from competitors.

It took some time for them to schedule and appointment, but that was because I did not have an emergency. When I called them back and requested an appointment, I got one quickly at my convenience.

I've used them a number of times. They are very good. They have provided multiple services. The last time it was a complex issue and it took multiple trips to figure out what was wrong. They figured out what it was and repaired it. I am really pleased with these guys. I would use them over and over again. They have never disappointed me. They have done toilet repair, sump repair and repaired a gasket that was not closing properly and it was allowing water to back up. They do really good work and they know what they are doing. They are an exceptionally professional outfit. I continue to use them and don't shop around. In this area they are all pretty much standard on their pricing. Their pricing is very fair. The are very responsive and punctual. They set up the time they are going to come and then they call ahead to say if they are running on time or ahead or behind. I will absolutely continue to use them.

Great--the harsh winter had crushed the pipe and the lid could no longer fit. They were able to replace the top section without digging up my yard and were quick and efficient, as well as reasonable. These guys have been cleaning out my sewers annually (I have a lot of trees) for the past 25 years. When they came for the cleaning, they ordered the part and came back to finish the job, but charged it as continuous time. They are honest and reliable.

We have been loyal customers of Pasquezi Plumbing for about 18 years. They had a top flight operation with a man who came out and evaluated our jobs and oversaw the job to ensure successful outcomes. Since his retirement this has not been the case. We've had them out almost every year to do this routine work as well as install & maintain all pumps, valves & battery backups. They dispatched a plumber last week who did not clean the sump pit after rodding the drain tile. As a result my pump fouled. He also got his rod stuck in our yard drain line & left my home returning at days end w/ helper to retrieve his equipment. He did not completely rod all lines knowingly left a completely blocked. He even said "it doesn't look like it'll rain this weekend." I called and the owner didn't take my call nor call back. It poured Saturday and my basement flooded. The owner sent a man out and is charging me 1.5 normal rate and takes no responsibility. Paying top dollar for 18 years......

Service was excellent, efficient, polite, and punctual. The company gave a courtesy call to verify appointment. I was very happy with all aspects of the service.

I had a toilet that was stopped up. I had called two companies I found on Angie's list on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Even though they had weekend hours, neither returned my calls. I decided to try a different company on Tuesday. I call Pasquesi. They said they could come that afternoon. They called back a couple minutes later and said someone was in the area and could come in fifteen minutes. The plumber put on shoe covers and came in the house. He quickly solved the problem and said if I can cleaning supplies he would clean up, which he did. He was great and helpful. My only suggestion would be they come with something to transport the plumbing snake out so it doesn't drip on the floor. I had to get a garbage bag. I would definitely use them again. The charge was $110 for their hourly rate and I used the Angie's list discount that brought me to $92.

He fixed the problem quickly and reasonably priced. That's it.

My other water heater hedged, blowing all over the thorium. It was over the weekend and they were very good. They put it in, and it was outrageous and very expensive. They were very good. I do not have any complaints. I supposed they took advantage of the fact that I had to have it done.

Prompt and excellent service. Plumber professional and extremely helpful. Rates reasonable. Used once before and will definitely use their services again when needed.

George from Pasquesi Plumbing arrived as scheduled. We had a long-standing leakage issue with a KWC kitchen faucet, a complex one-piece German unit installed over 10 years ago when our kitchen was remodeled. George took the faucet apart, and discovered two parts, the main cartridge, and the top purified water dispenser, that required replacement. He guided my wife in calling the manufacturer's U.S. office in Georgia, and thanks to the fact that we had specific part numbers (save your installation paperwork, people!), the KWC person quickly offered to express us the parts (at least $100 worth, if not far more) at no charge (not even express shipping) even though the faucet was long since out of warranty. So, multiple kudos, there, to George of Pasquesi, and to KWC! When the parts arrived (the next day!), we scheduled George's return visit. He arrived on schedule today, and promptly replaced the parts. George was always polite and friendly, neat and informative. We definitely will call on him at Pasquesi Plumbing the next time we have a plumbing issue.

They have really good plumbers. They are thorough and experienced plumbers. They are good, knowledgeable, and timely.

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. They are also very responsive and efficient workers. The pricing is reasonable and I have been pleased with the outcome of their services. I would recommend this company to others.

When another plumbing company failed to show for their appointment, Pasquesi was able to visit later that morning. The plumber was friendly and professional. he made every attempt to fix the problem with minimal cost. He was able to stop the leak and later comeback to replace the faucet. problem solved.

Everything went great. We called on Sunday and they talked through the situation (flooding the basement). they actually talked us out of an emergency visit, and scheduled us for Monday morning. They arrived early, did the job very quickly and thoroughly. It was MUCH less expensive than we were expecting. |

Joe was great. He came on time and fixed what he could quickly and neatly. He didn't charge for a new visit when he came back with parts for the 2d faucet.

They were very professional when calling and when the technician showed up. The work was done quickly and with quality. The hourly rate is a bit higher than I would expect but because of the speed and quality I felt it made up for it.

I pointed the employee towards where I smelled the leak. He probed the pipes with his gas detector and found the leak. He fixed the connection and re-lit all of my pilot lights (something I would have completely over looked). The hourly rate is pricey, but the employee was VERY fast so I cant complain.

I am very satisfied that they are a reliable and qualified provider of plumbing services. The price was very reasonable and I will consider recommending them to my friends and family.
