It was great. They helped us figure out our need. They did a really nice and clean job. They went out of their way to make sure we didn?t have a lot of PCP pieces. They kept it from having seams everywhere and ones that were in obvious places. There were ways that would have been easier but they did it in a more complicated way to make it a nicer job.

I spoke to Mike on the phone and arranged a date to come by the house for an estimation for woodflooring. Mike was very prompt about returning calls. I actually live in St. Louis, and the townhome I wanted to do woodfloor was in Chicago, so we had to communicate via phone the whole time. He was very easy to talk to and willing to work out a schedule with my mother-in-law in order to show the house. So he called my mother-in-law to make the arrangement. He also made every effort to work out a schedule to meet with her busy schedule and lived 45 minutes away across the Indiana border. After he emailed me the estimation, I compared the numbers with other companies, and Mike's quote was far lower than the other quotes I received from other companies. He also insisted to work out a schedule with our handyman who was going to redo our kitchen cabinet. He said he would put the last touch to the woodfloor AFTER the cabinets are fully installed because he said installing cabinets can cause damages to the woodfloor--a great advice that not many installers care to share. However, we decided not to remodel our floor for our own personal reason, which was very sad because we really liked Mike's professionalism and the ease of communication. If we decide to do the woodfloor, we would definately have Mike take care of our home!

I took responsibility for moving all furniture and ensuring all rooms were emptied before work began. The carpeting was replaced on a Saturday. The installers arrived on time and worked quickly. They completed the work in a couple hours. I had the walls repainted the week before and no touch-ups were necessary. The hardwood floors were sanded and first coat applied day one, and day two had second coat applied. I was able to get back in my apartment on the third day and walk on the floors. Fourth or fifth day I could move furniture back, after a week I could put area rugs down. The installers were prompt on the first day, extremely courteous and considerate of my things/property. Very knowledgeable and high quality work.

I got a number of estimates for this job. All were very close in price. All had good reviews on Angie's List, so I picked the company that could do the job the quickest. I had a limited time frame because I wanted the work done before we moved into our new townhouse. I was not disappointed in the work. The job was done quickly, the work is impeccable and the stain matches perfectly, the area was cleaned, and the carpet removed.

We purchased a home with damaged floors. We were not sure what to do about it. We got about 8 estimates, ranging from Mike's to $25,000 (!). Mike was a pleasure to work with: he knows his field, is personable and very patient. He made himself available to us on weekends, too. Mike gave us great advice and never tried to sell us up or get us to spend more that we wanted to and his advice was practical. And the result is gorgeous. These guys do good work and they really listen to you -- they do not push a solution on you, they work with you. Can't say enough good things about the experience.

Mike was not daunted by our "metal " challenge. He was quick to respond to my questions. His workers were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire Carpet Central again

I'll start with the end: the floor was so beautiful that the other contractors who I had around for various unrelated projects commented about it and took his card. Mike responded very promptly to my bid request. He was thoughtful and knowledgable. He made recommendations about how to approach the floor that were different than any other bidders I had: he encouraged me to consider an oil-based finish (rather than water) and to use a stain (I'd planned to stay natural). They showed up on time, were as unobtrusive as possible and cleaned up thoroughly. Mike was always available by phone and email. Highly recommend.

They did a fine job. They were one of the subcontractors when we were renovating, and everything went well. We were very happy with it and would use them again.

They did a wonderful job. They called me back to tell me about a deal he had on a larger plank sized wood that I could get for the same price. They were in and out, and the floors looked great. I did not compare prices, but their work was good and I would use them again.

They did an excellent job and tried to be responsive to family needs especially since it was around the holidays. Overall it took about three weeks but we only were required to be out of the house for one week. All of the workmen were pleasant, punctual and professional. The man primarily responsible for the wood refinishing and installation (Mike) was someone you felt had years of experience so it was easy to trust his advice. Additionally, the managers continually checked with us during the course of the project to ensure things were going smoothly.

We wanted to have the hardwood floors in our house refinished and obtained estimates from 3 different companies. Carpet Central was not the least expensive but was the most responsive, so we decided to go with them. We are very happy that we did!! At our initial meeting, Mike Ignoffo was very informative. He explained the entire process and answered all of our questions. The work started exactly when he said it would and the project was completed on schedule. Although our house was empty at the time, care was taken to protect the appliances and keep the dust to a minimum. We had a carpet runner on the staircase and in the upstairs hall that we wanted to keep but it had to be removed for the refinishing process. Despite many, many staples they removed the carpet runner very carefully and it was not damaged in the least so we were able to have it reinstalled after the floors were redone. The refinished hardwood floors look absolutely beautiful! We also had Carpet Central remove the old carpeting from our basement and install new carpeting. Mike was helpful with the carpet and padding selection. He advised against a certain (more expensive) padding that we liked because it was not the right fit and would not wear well in that room. The carpet installers were very careful and did a great job. They removed the old carpeting and vacuumed before they left. Mike was in contact with us daily to provide updates which was greatly appreciated. Great experience overall - excellent quality and superior service!

I called few other flooring companies to get estimates for my flooring and could not decide which one to use. I asked around my friends and neighbors for recommendations and one of them highly recommended carpet central. I called for the estimate and the lady who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful in setting up the appointment ( due to my busy schedule we ended up setting it on Saturday evening). Michael - the owner of company came on time with lots of carpet and floor samples, he made a great impression on me - seems like he knows everything there is to know about flooring, he helped me a lot in choosing right carpet. After taking measurements, he gave me estimate including some money saving options and payment options (they offer financing, which sounded pretty good, but I did not use it) He left me a written estimate, and said if I decide to use his company all I have to do is sign and return to him. I mad my final decision few days later, called him and mailed the paperwork and deposit check ( by the way the price he gave me was the best of 4 other estimates I had ) at this time he said that we can schedule installation in about two weeks, and that he would call me few day in advance to schedule the exact day and time. Week later he called and we scheduled the installation for the days which were convenient for me. There was two different crews - one for hardwood and one for carpet - they were all very polite and clean , the hardwood crew actually came about 20-30 minutes early, and they waited in their van on the street - i did not know it was them, but when I asked them later why they did not came to house right away - they said that they were scheduled for 8:30 and did not want to bother me earlier in case I was sleeping... The installation went very smooth, the workers cleaned up daily and when they finished. I am very happy with my new flooring.

The experience went very well and the crew was very good. They were very polite and professional. The price was also fair. There were some problems later with the work and they were not very responsive to my calls.

We had to reschedule the installation several times because the project was delayed for various reasons. Mike was patient with us, even with last minute postponements. Once he started the installation his installers worked until the project was completed. The loft area was pretty straightforward but the stairs required some custom work. Mike was very responsive to our feedback and came back to fix a couple of small areas. We were very pleased with the work.

Overall, it went very well. We were initially a bit worried because the work did not start when it was initially estimated to begin (and we were worried that the wood did not have enough time to acclimate in our house before it was installed.) However, despite the late beginning of work, the work was completed on time before we moved in. And we have not had any problems with the wood expanding/contracting. Overall, we love the floors and they did a great job. There were just a couple of things that we thought the workmen or Mike should have been been proactive about when they finished up: there were two missing thresh holds that made the floors look incomplete. A closet door also came off it's hinge and needed to be repaired. Additionally, one of the walls was damaged. All of these issues were rectified, but we did need to call a couple of times to have someone come out and fix them. All in all though, they did a really good job on the floors. As for the downstairs, we had old carpet pulled out and new carpet installed. It looks great, and we have no complaints.

The estimate was very descriptive and straight forward with lots of detail about the work that would be completed. We plan to go with this company in the Springtime. Mike was very professional, on time, and very responsive via email.

It went better than expected. Mike Ignoffo called several times to confirm our order (style, color, etc.) before he placed the order. No down payment was required. The job was finished in 3 days vs 5 (amazing), and the installation crew did a good job. They had to come back several times to repair damage (one scratch happened during installation, 2 or 3 that occurred during concurrent construction that was occurring in the house). There was no complaining or additional charge regarding the repairs.

Michael arrived promptly to give us an estimate and was generous with his time and expertise as we reviewed our options and selected a stain. He kept on top of the details as his thoughtful staff worked diligently throughout the project, taking care to minimize the dust and protect the baseboard moldings. The stain Michael helped us choose looks even better than we'd imagined and both the finished and refinished floors look terrific. We feel fortunate that we found them, couldn't be happier with their work, and plan to use the company again.

Very well from the beginning. Quick estimate, start and finish work on time. Make good consultation with great follow up jobs. Great job and great people to work with.
